Very good video , one extra tip for those of us that are perhaps not so good at regular cleaning ! If the bin filters have been left for several months , you can whack the filters between your hands like clapping (but do it outdoors) to get rid of the majority of the dust ( otherwise rinsing a really clogged filter in your sink gets really mucky ) Worth inspecting the tubes for obstructions , and brushing/ cleaning the suction head and it’s rollers too , to restore max performance. .

Thank you for this video it was very helpful. I was putting it off cleaning my shark for a while now just because I thought it would be very complicated but this was so easy to follow. I did struggle to clean the under the seal on the bin. It seems that dust has gotten trapped under the seal but I'm worried about cleaning it as I don't want to damage the seal.

I just chuck the bin in the dishwasher and the filters in the washing machine and its been fine but it does void the warranty I think so thanks for the non voiding out your warranty way :)
Useful on cleaning the filters but the bit near the beginning and end on detaching/opening and reattaching the dust canister could be done more slowly and clearly and maybe repeated. Those are the things I find tricky. Thanks.
Hi ive got some water trapped on the edge above where the filters go, im not sure if i can pull that apart ive left it to dry for 2 days now and still some left
Farah Deeba this may pull out I haven tried with mine but I will have a look failing that maybe use a hairdryer on cool blow or warm but hold it far away this may help
Yes take off the wand and bottom roller head and try the unit itself without all attached if it’s still making the noise check for anything blocked in the unit check around the spiral bit inside the bin. If the noise is fine then the blockage is in the pipe or head take the head off and look down the pipe hold this to light so you can see all the way through. If still nothing check the head there are 3 like flat headed clips you need to twist to get access take this off and check the part which goes up to the tube. Check my other video of how to clean the roller head that may help on how to check. Hope this helps a little thank you for commenting and supporting my channel

Just a quick question on washing the dust cup I'm a bit worried as I rinsed the bottom were the filters go which you advised not to do and small amount of water has seeped into the plastic below the latch that releases the bin, it's not much but there's no way I can remove the filter holder to dry it. Do you think it will dry out and would it be ok to attach back as I can't see where it would leak. Sorry for long question !! Wish I'd taken more notice of your video before I washed it. Take Care

Danielle Hill I would double check with shark themselves as I don’t want to say yes if it would void any warranty. But personally I wouldn’t see an issue with it as-long as it was totally dry before inserting back in

My girlfriend and I both have long hair. We haven’t vacuumed in two weeks and normally when not vacuuming for a long period hair just wraps round the roller. I used this model for the first time yesterday and not one strand of hair was wrapped round the brush, could you do an anti hair wrap test please and give your views

I have had 3 sharks over the years and did not realize the top engine filter was removable and washable😮 I looked for a video to see if I could deodorize it cos it stinks every time I turn the shark on. Any ideas? It wasn’t wet. I have pets, so I vacuum every single day, more than once. I’m wondering if it’s the pipe that got wet and somehow got into the filter?
Hi, today i cleaned it including the motor filter and now the hoover has lost its suction 😖 any idea what could be the cause? I put everything together as it was. And all the filters were fully dry. Thanks
Thank you for the comment, does it work with the handheld itself if it does then it could be something blocking the suction tube let me know how you get on
Hi check the underside of the unit roller it has x3 flat heads to turn which gives more access another place to clog up is the hose where it bends take the hose off this has a clip of if worried take off the stick and shine a light down to check for blockages hope this helps a little
Unfortunately this is a massive design issue from shark you can’t remove you can only remove the bottom where the rollers are and the tube that takes it up the pipe to the bin. See my other video for how to clean the plastic piece. Thank you for your comment and support

Afraid not yet we’re currently living with parents at the moment awaiting our house so not a massive need but as soon as we have our own place I will deffo purchase one and do a review for you guys
Arlene Black sure check that the filters are totally dry and nothing blocking the suction tubes check out my other video which shows how to clean the roller bit there may be something in there blocking it
There is some blockage somewhere check the hose take it off the machine and look down it, I find taking it outside and looking up at the light should help. See how you get on and let me know
@@decisionsdecisions8906 I did all that and even pushed water through the hose, let it dry overnight, No good. When I put everything back it still blew it out' so..... my conclusion is time for a new vacuum.( the one I am dealing with is VERY old) Thank you for your help.

Fantastic ! My sharks suction power has not been great. But of course that is because I have never cleaned it like this ! Will try in the morning !
Glad your enjoying it yes mine does stop suction a bit only because the hose is blocked normally due to the mrs sucking up crisps and other objects

Followed this to the word but how do I get water of small cylinder in drop down lid?
Leave it outside somewhere warm to dry or put it on the drainer this should dry it out for you

Sorry to hear this I would just leave to dry even use a hair dryer at a far distance just to absorb the water hope this helps

You may be able to wash it with warm water and a hint of fragrance but make sure it’s dry before putting it back in

How do you remove the floor nozzle cover - I have opened the three locks

Hi, I used your videos to clean my shark and when I’ve put it back together it’s suction isn’t working. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?
Arlene Black sure check that the filters are totally dry and nothing blocking the suction tubes check out my other video which shows how to clean the roller bit there may be something in there blocking it
I cleaned the hepa filter and when I put it back and turned it on it blows it out . What am I doing wrong?
There is some blockage somewhere check the hose take it off the machine and look down it, I find taking it outside and looking up at the light should help. See how you get on and let me know

@@decisionsdecisions8906 I did all that and even pushed water through the hose, let it dry overnight, No good. When I put everything back it still blew it out' so..... my conclusion is time for a new vacuum.( the one I am dealing with is VERY old) Thank you for your help.

Can you replace the roller the orange one
I bought mine second hand and it has no instructions with it is ment to have filters
Yes you can replace this it just clips out

DO the filters need changing from time to time and how much does they cost?

Hi, if you're replacing the filter once a month, how often are you suppose to wash them? Thank you
