From the vault If you turn left after crossing the stream bridge and follow the shoreline. There's a water pump you can turn off and follow the pipe up a hill to find a cap stash of around 70ish caps, early .44 magnum with some .44 rounds. A suitcase with possible cha clothes and hat and a stash of chems on top of the barrel thing. Might help enough to save you from selling your wedding ring. It's an unique item afterall with sentimental value.

Just a quick tip when you cross the bridge at sanctuary this might take a little more time but there is a mole rat den under red rocket and there are glasses in there that give 1 charisma
Dude, thank you for this. I don’t do speed runs for stuff, but I liked your Cronkite-like delivery. It beats the hell out of channels where the guy thinks his speech-pattern has to be filled with laughter/giggling like they’re auditioning for a solid 10 minutes at the Laugh Factory. And gotta also say a solid informative midwestern “accent” beats the eff outta a Yorkshireman trying to come off like a Brit accent adds gravity (despite it sounding like they’re sucking on their elbow and mispronouncing every third word).
There are guaranteed locations for CHA glasses and CHA clothing if you don’t luck out with random loot. Unfortunately you can’t be guaranteed a CHA hat without going far out of your way. Eyewear: There’s a guaranteed location for Black Rim Glasses for an additional +1 CHA in the Mole Rat Den under Red Rocket. It’s along the right wall as you enter the first main room on a little ledge. It would cost a little time but you could probably get it without much really dangerous combat, probably fighting about four or so Mole Rats to get them. You can pick up Dogmeat at Red Rocket on the way if you want to make that a bit easier at the low level you’ll be at if you do this straight out of the Vault but Mole Rats aren’t ever really tough. Headwear: The dead (male) Minuteman in front of the Museum of Freedom in Concord sometimes (unfortunately this isn’t guaranteed) has a Militia Hat for another +1 CHA, but you’ll have to fight the four or five Raiders there (tougher to deal with than Mole Rats - not incredibly tough but if you weren’t leveling and were still at level 1 they might be a hassle) to get that one and it’s not guaranteed. There’s another dead (female) Minuteman that might also have a Militia hat down the road past the church in the yard of a boarded up house. If those don’t work out, you could try buying from Carla on the way past Drumlin. Sometimes she sells Trilby Hats, Newsboy Caps, or Pompadour Wigs, as well as Fashionable or Black Rim Glasses and any number of suits or dresses for +2 CHA. You can shop from Trudy or Wolfgang if you do the “Order Up” quest and do the peaceful option where both remain, though having Grape Mentats, Day Tripper, and X-Cell (see below) will probably make shopping for chems from Wolfgang extraneous (it’d likely be too expensive to buy chems to be worthwhile anyway). Outfit: If you get really bad luck and can’t find a +2 CHA outfit in Sanctuary (this won’t happen often - there are tons of suitcases and dressers there), there’s a guaranteed +2 CHA Green Laundered Dress in a suitcase in the Ranger Cabin near Abernathy Farm. You’d have to fight three Bloatflies for that. Alternately, you can visit the Concord Speakeasy. In one of the upstairs rooms, there are two X-Cells, two Day Trippers, two Gwinnett Stouts, and a Casual Outfit (only +1 PER +1 CHA as opposed to most other options mentioned which are +2 CHA, though the drugs alone make the visit worth one’s time). There’s an upstairs exit there to a ledge that could be used to snipe the Raiders in Concord with slightly more safely than walking in town, though you’d have to use the back entrance to the Speakeasy to take advantage of this. These are all the extra CHA sources I can think of on or near the route taken in the video.
The Overseers guarding is my go to weapon even though i have played the game two times im about to go my 3rd and go get the weapon again to cut down xenos scum, cheers lads.
this guns is just amazing around level 15 with rank 2 of the rifleman perk and some mods u was able to have 105 of damage something around that it's a really handy gun
Just started up a new play through after not playing for about 3 years. I always did this when I played before, but decided not to now so things would be more challenging. I have been playing with the M14 mod and I am loving it.
I'm using the m14 tool, i have one suppressed, large magazine and reflex sight to short distances and another to long long distances. The overseer gun i use as a suppressed night incursions.
If you don't mind a little combat,, there's a pair of black-rimmed glasses (+1 CHA) in that mole rat cave under the Red Rocket. On the little shelf where the human skeleton is - you may need to turn on your light to see them.
If anyone's new to this video, and if you want to give yourself the under 30 minute challenge, you can make a detour to Lexington and pick up 100 Pre-war Money behind the bank. You can use that to buy additional .45 ammo when you're buying the Overseer's Guardian.
There is a 20 caps stash in the blue house that has the suitcase too. Though I screwed up with the lockpicking and had to kind to start over. I didn't get any luck on the clothes though.
So I just started over and did this. Granted I didn’t do it exactly like the video. I took about an hour on normal mode. I think this will be my start out pattern from now on.

BUT.... the gold bars showed NO value. No value at all. Possible bug? I wasn't able to trade them. I traded other stuff, thankfully. But that was weird. Anyone get that?
Hmmm.. The lowest price possible for the O.G. is 1522 caps. No idea why the gold bars had no value. The Wabbajack install "may" have something to do with it. Sometimes mods do strange things to game files.
I mean in my personal opinion I just use Swatter Bat to take out little mobs, for 1 shoot snipe kills or boss I use a Laser Musket with 2bullet mod, 6 cranks on that bad boy and BOOM, head flies clean off
You need 11 charisma to pass the speech check at the vault door. And the maximum CHA for buying items from a vendor is 16. So if you already have charisma maxed out, you would only need some Grape Mentats and a Beer to gat hte best prices and get in the vault without fusion cores.
