I am doing a Ls3/6L80E in a 03'Crown Vic Police Interceptor. A IRS in a Vic would be awesome. I dont have the ability or money to do it lol. Down the road maybe. Changing it from solid to IRS is probably very expensive and hard to accomplish. Im sorry about your father. Ive lost both of mine now. Like most people. I know it all to well.
