I actually like how Mohawk Mark is grateful to Main Mark for helping him get out of that dimension and even treats him as a friend despite what he has done. Then again I would put a lot of stuff behind me if you save me from a bunch of cannibal versions of myself and being stranded with no other resources or contact.
And needing to drink your own sweat to survive and almost killed by said cannibal Mark, I think part of him changed from being an outright villain. He’s still evil but I imagine he lost a lot of his edge after the whole event.

@@angusalvarado3064 i have a similar theory, i suspect that, since these are different universes, the power scale of each universe is different, maybe they got the same powers, but their strenght is inferior to their other universe versions, as an example, in a universe, rex-plode's explossions might be equal to a nuke in power, but in a different universe, it might be just as powerful as a grenade, another thing that could take place in these cases is the resistance of each species in each universe, maybe in og mark's universe humans are just like us resistance wise, but maybe in, let's say, evil mark 5's universe, humans are as fragile as a stick

Well you gotta remember that in a multiverse there's literally infinite possibilities. So there's a world where he did kill spawn and a world where he didn't. Big brain dude thinks he's the only one like him the the multiverse but he's not. Just like there's a comic version there's the TV version, they're both 2 different people existing in the multiverse doing almost identical things at best there's just less of him yet still infinite. That's kinda why it doesn't really matter what hero is stronger then who, were following the funnest most interesting possibilities.

I honestly hope they switch around which designs are which.
Like I think mustached viltrumite suit Mark should have been the design for Mohawk Mark's story, it makes more sense and is a very striking design with narrative weight.
Honestly some of those marks should hopefully be fleshed out more in the show. Their designs and brief backstories are too interesting to kill them all off with nothing.
Honestly hoping we get 1 off episodes of each mark variant and their worlds as we get closer and closer to the war so they can die like they do in the comics but so their deaths have weight.
Although I disagree with moustache mark because our mark has to pretend to be him eventually and it’s easier for him to rip his hair out then wait to grow a moustache.

Well alot of people did straight up die in this arc and the shit that the invincible war caused is felt all the way till the end of the story so its technically the best take of the superhero multiverse bs yet imo.

The part I love that drives me crazy about Invincible is that I played “the darkness” on Xbox and “Spawn” on PlayStation 2 and I even used to watch Witchblade on tnt, found out later they all share the same universe as Invincible. Dude my mind is constantly and continuously blown by the fact
Sort of but not really. The Invincible War was one of those instances where they tried including other Image characters to hint at a greater Image universe but then none of those characters or their storylines ever showed back up and Invincible never showed back up in other Image comic stories either (not to mention the Invincible timeline ends up drastically diverting from the Earths of Spawn, Witchblade, etc.) It's best to treat those appearances as cameos rather than an actual shared universe.

I don't buy most of the Marks being taken out so easily is most of them are strong enough to take over their own worlds with just his father or even killing his father and doing it alone with most of those heroes being in their worlds and nothing more than minor annoyances. Imagine if the main DC Earth were attacked out of nowhere by 15-20 Superboy Primes, it would be a slaughter of every DC hero in less than 24 hours, I would expect nothing less of that many evil Marks.
Theyre all mark, not supergeniuses.

Reasons for weaker than average invincible:
1. Getting carried by Omni-man or relying on their viltrumite royal heritage-thus having their minions do the fighting. (Remember the race is bound to the bloodline of Argal on cognitive/spiritual level, they don’t care about strength)
2. Due to them going for the kill rather than holding back, they aren’t stressing their physical bodies. Prime gets as strong as he does eventually due to holding back and going for non-lethal options. (Taking the long and hard road)
3. Due to his heritage, he’s more arrogant and thus more prone to underestimating humans creativity and adaptability. Similarly to Conquest and how he always loses due to him being a spectator in his own fights, which was a weakness that got him killed.
@@The_preserver_x16 The whole point to taking over a planet is to do it without the Empire, 1 Viltrumite and their offspring that that they created through mating with the locals. Nobody knew about their royal heritage until much later in the time line so you can't use that excuse.

Like I said, he had no idea that he was royalty, it wouldn't have any effect on his actions. On those worlds he's Conquests commander because they were still allies, they never fought Conquest.

He lost the first time mainly because he was trying to reason with Conquest who was in a berserker battle mode and Oliver was involved in the fight causing Mark to divide his attention, Mark wasn't fighting to kill Conquest, when he did, he killed him, end of story.
All these low levels killing Mark and the creator has the balls to say Invincible can beat Superman.
I mean I assume he meant ADULT mark after he gets the super spoilery upgrades and shit, not teenage Mark who gets manhandled by his dad still. But maybes thats just my common sense speaking idk.

If i were to put my 2 cents into the debate with these super beings it would go something like:
Milkman Super-Man or Super-Man 1 Million for high ball x1M+ >>> Old Super-man for mid ball > Prime Super-Man for low-ball ≥ Xeno Goku in Limit Breaker or Super Goku in either Mastered Ultra Instinct or True Ultra Instinct For high Ball >>> End of Buu Saga Goku in SSj3 for mid ball >>> Ssj 1 Grade 4 Goku End of Cell Saga for low ball ≈ Post-End of Story Mark for high ball >>> End of Story Mark for mid ball > Post Omni-man fight Mark > Homelander (Cuz fuck that Guy)
But yea... if speaking on terms of power.. Mark may or may be able to go toe-to-toe with Goku at the end of the Cell Saga at the end of his story. Gohan in SSj 2 would break his fists on Contact, same with Cell. And there is no way he is even landing a punch on Super-Man. But he could be able to manhandle Homelander just like his dad did to him. I would say Homelander is slightly weaker than the Immortal... And we saw what happened to poor Aberham.
But if i were to realistically speak on the topic...
Goku, Super-Man and Invincible would at the end of the day be best of Buds, they have similar morals and would at most lightly spar and say that all of they each are pretty strong. And maybe have an afterlunch or something...
Though Mark would definitely rip homelander apart as he would remind him a lot of Cecil or Rudy...

The comic book had more heroes than what the show portrays and much of them ends up distracting the invincibles even if they arent able to straight up beat them.
The ones who survived by the end of it (before portalled away) are the ones who were truly powerful amongst the invincibles and the heroes only managed to just survived long enough to be hidden away
Their are a lot of heroes in the comics capable of taking on a viltrumite. There is a lot more to fighting than strength.
Alternate viltrumites and the evil marks are considerably weaker because the multiverse powerscaling isn't consistent.
The alternate marks are barely as strong as season 2 mark, who is holding back the entire time . . . at a younger age than most of the other marks.
Didn't Spawn live in the same universe as invincible? He would destroy most viltrumites.

My sons were viscerally angry at all the alternate versions of Mark and actually ended up feeling sorry for Angstrom. Mark truly is a monster in other universes where Debbie isn’t the strong parental human figure she was.

They don't have rights to him, so it's not likely. The Invincible War was a weird time when they were sort of trying to setup a greater comics universe but that never really went anywhere and the Invincible setting was solidified firmly as its own thing.
Imagine if Angstrom brought all these evil Marks in the Season 2 finale. 😮

Hoping Robert Kirkman uses to the show to explore some of the alternate marks’ backstories more, would be interesting to see how Sinister Mark in particular became so evil
Since I'm sure the writers of the show can't exactly use all of characters they showed off during the fights with the alternate marks, I forsee some changes.
Like maybe they reduce the number of alternate marks slightly to make the fights work better with the number of available heros/characters. Itd also make the fights mean a little more. Either that, or they find a way to introduce a few more recruits to the roster of heros so it works out better.
All I know is I don't see Spawn showing up to throw hands lol or other characters like him from different properties
They cant even use characters like Brit,Tech Jacket,and Wolfman who all were reoccurring characters in the Invincible comics.

@@jackislegitterrified3689 I doubt it. Something tells me like Brit and Tech Jacket, Amazon doesn't have the rights for him. Which honestly, while I love Wolfman he ultimately spent the majority of his time operating solo, and only occasionally popped up in other books. It's Brit who I feel like is the biggest loss, as he gradually became a more and more important character, hell he eventually was in charge of the expanded version of the Guardians of the Globe.
It's just gonna be so weird not having him around in the show. And I dread to think who they will replace him with (probably gonna be Immortal if I had to guess.)

I'd love to see Mark with Jackie Estacado in the animated series. Jackie, the former mafioso who inherited a curse that he used as his super powers to give superman a bloody lip with just a rabbit punch. Similar to Immortal; When Jackie dies, he comes back, every time.

One thing never made sense to me. They got stranded in a different dimension on a normal planet. Nothing is keeping them on that planet viltramits can go for months without food or oxygen. Why don’t they just fly to another planet they don’t have to stay on that planet I’m pretty sure this universe has other planets.

Correction they can survive at best 2 weeks without Oxygen. As fast as they travel theyd be lucky to get far in such a short amount of time.

For the all the changes that the show has made from the comic I really hope they do explore a lot of these alternate dimension marks a little further

I always thought that it was a bit ridiculous that earth's regular heroes could kill alternative marks. Invincible at season 1 could kill most of the guardians of the globe so the idea that the regular heroes could kill his older more ruthless duplicates seems a bit far fetched
It's kind of like how Mark could kill Conquest who was older, stronger, and more ruthless and experienced. It took everything these heros had to barely succeed in these fights
