Thank you for posting this. You actually spent money buying a fake one (or a real one) just so you can compare them. Thank you for that. I'm inspired to create my own real vs. fake on perfumes video. I'll do that now. :) keep it up!
6 years ago, I have realized the $20 sunglasses from Walmart give me more eye comfort than those $100+ branded sunglasses I have bought at boutique stores.
There is usually a little watermark on the left lens, that says RB. It is scratched on it, and you can only slightly see it. If that is there, they are real. They are on the middle to the far left of the lens.
Cheers, some scumbag on eBay sent me a fake pair, I reported it and made a case using info from this video and got refunded within a few hours! Excellent work keep it up!
+Mixa lol I just ordered a pair of ray ban aviators on aliexpress for 11 euro.. glass with the box, case etc included .. thinking about ordering another 2 pair for some variation but I cannot pick colors xD ...
ClaudioSL619 Claudio, It sounds like you think you get what you pay for? Sure, good products have their price, but that doesn't mean that just because you pay lots money you get a product that has the equal value to to the money you pay. Lots of these "Genuine products are rip offs. There are good and cheaper alternatives out there if you care to find them. I personally refuse to pay too much for designer brand names and have to carry their advertisement logo. just to prove to everyone around me that I have money.Good design doesn't cost money. it just takes time. Someone who sits at a desk and draws an idea on a piece of paper isn't necessarily costing money.
ClaudioSL619 You're an idiot mate. First of all, when the genuine product has a 300% to 10 000% markup and does ZERO R&D etc like glasses (going from 150$ raybans to 15000 gucci or what ever) That's just a straight fucking ripoff Not to mention their fucking monopoly on the market which is crony capitalism. But your *bullshit claim about UV protection* is the most ridiculous one. Even cheap 5$ glasses you buy of the streets today often have a 100% UV protection. All the fakes have it nowadays because they have to compete with each other to make the best fakes lol .. even 1.5 $ aviators on aliexpress have a UV400 (100% UV protection) *Besides most fakes, and a lot of genuine raybans are made of POLYCARBONATE* which has a 100% UV protection without any further treatment. Plastic has around 80 and glass has zero without a UV coating .. But all the fakes have it, you can get them tested lol.
The only way to beat the villain is by buying from online stores that don't play around with prices! I have a comfortable collection of REALLY cheap sunnies by shopping at civil eyewear.
+cali kali exactly! i just saw a segment on 60 minutes where they Examine the parent company Luxxotica and it turns out that it only cost the company 30$ to make.. and not even in a sweat shop environment... and yet people are wasting up too 400$ on these things!! fucking nuts!!!
+mmmodafoca I don't need 60 minutes to tell me that. Just look at the crude construction (the appeal) and the raw materials. It's cheap as fuck. People are idiots if they willingly pay $150-$200 knowing this.
+varun009 You'll be surprised at the people that wouldn't care about the construction as long as its good enough :/ I've seen people buy garbage $60 A/X glasses that where less quality than a $15 Walgreens pair and where proud to wear them.
Gabriel Soria When you buy any fashion product its more about the feeling of the image it gives you than technically how good they are for most people.
Great video. I have a number of Aviator models in different frame designs and glass colours. Also a good way to spot a fake is to just wear it. As you stated, the fake ones doesnt fit comfortably right away. The coloring of the lenses is also easy to notice. I have a gunmetal frame with green/grey lenses and compared to the fake ones you review here, the lense has a deeper coloring, almost black. However it is still more comfortable to the eye when you wear them. Fake ones tends to be either too dark or too light when worn. Thanks again!
Nice observations. Also, seems to me people think that when you buy fakes you are paying half the price or something like it... Not so, I've seen fakes being sold for $170 and up and this is the MAIN reason why one would care to be able to spot a fake. If you know you want to buy a fake and pay a decent price for it, then good for you but if the seller misleads you and tells you they are real when they are fakes and you paid hundreds of dollars then you didn't do your homework.
Right!!! To me the only way to buy the legit product is going straight to the store, online or at the mall etc. I have been taken advantage once and won't let it happen again. Many years ago I bought a Tag Heuer watch at Costco jewelry and paid over $800 for it. I was very happy for years and just for the heck of it I looked up the serial number written on back plate and came up it was serial posted on fakes! What! I thought because I bought it at a "store" I was safe, not so. Sometimes the stores will sell it thinking they are selling the real stuff but depends who they buy it from. I had not kept the receipt and lost the box in a move so there is no way I can prove I bought it at Costco BUT I KNOW!!! It sucks not to do the homework!
Thanks, this video is very helpful. While the differences are so minor, you have really pointed-out what the tiny differences are. And it is really important to know, as best you can, that you are spending your hard-earned cash on something that is genuine, especially when it comes to designer wear. So, cheers Honey; your video has helped me to ensure (as far as possible), that I am getting what I paid for. I guess that the only downside is, that you have to buy a good fake pair of glasses in order to conduct a good assessment of the 'genuine' pair. Thanks 😃
i still have my rayban aviator similar to yours, brown casing and all. i bought it 1990, 28 yr old rayban, even used it for welding jobs. didn't realize it still have good value to this day. it seems the style, shape never goes out of style.
Hi guys In my opinion as optician, there is no real and fake ray-ban except those who are made in underground in asia. Since luxottica has bought ray ban brand from b&l, they expanded their manufacturing to China, India, United States and Brasil The Group operates in China since 1998. There are also first, second and third category in some brands.
Thanks for the great video, people buy ray bans because you can wear them all day and your eyes don't hurt. Clearly higher quality optics cost more money than cheap sunglasses. And the thing I have come to notice from buying thousands of dollars of sunglasses is that ray ban aviators are 500-700$$ glasses they sale for 150-200$. The quality cannot be beat for less. They have such crisp lenses that you can see, so many sunglasses, especially plastic lens distort one eye differently than the other, and after a couple of hours makes your eyes tired from compensating for the distortion. They also, because of how crisp they are the dark g15 lens can block out midday sun at the beach and provide excellent contrast and depth but also provide good viewing during lower light later in the day, and cheap sunglasses cannot do that. Overall, you cannot come close to the quality for the money, and their is not one brand of glasses you can buy for less than real ray ban glass lens glasses for cheaper
what the heck are you saying? luxxotica have factory both in italy and china. same material used only cheaper labor in china. are you trying to say that ray ban made in italy are not made in luxxotica factory?
Your statement is not logically sound. Just because one company owns multiple brands doesn't mean they're "low quality". They are actually quite high quality, maybe a bit overpriced, but very sturdy.
MutantSushi I guess you didn't hear the when they said they use Luxotica to make brands like Gucci etc. Using $100 RayBan frames to make Gucci sunglasses then charging $1000 is a fucking scam and no glasses in the world are worth that price I don't care how sturdy they are.
Haha, I buy all my Ray Bans from an authorised (physical) store in Italy. And you know what? The boxes open from both sides. You may have gotten that part wrong (generalised). But the rest of it sounds about right, so maybe the newer ones are like that. My aviators are quite old now, although still RB-3025 code. I know your video is 4 years old but it is still helpful for many people my friend.
I’ve bought polarized aviators from a trusted store, theye were more than 200$ but they don’t have any writings on the nose bridge part. Does that mean that they are fake?
Ray-Ban and fake Ray-Bans are made by the same company Luxottica. They make 95% of all glass and sun glasses in the world. They own Ray Ban and many others.
*FALSE!!! YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT SUNGLASSES MIDGET! IF YOU BOUGHT FAKE ONE SPECIALLY THE POLARIZED ONE THEY ONLY PROVIDE 60%-70% UV PROTECTION. UNLIKE THE AUTHENTIC ONE THEY PROVIDE 100% UV PROTECTION! SEEMS LIKE ALL YOUR THINGS ARE FAKE! I GOT YOU MIDGET! GO AHEAD AND DO A UV TEST SO YOU CAN PROVE IT TO YOUR SELF. FAKE SUNGLASSES ARE NO VALUE IF IT DOESNT SERVE THEIR PURPOSE AND THAT IS TO PROTECT YOUR EYE FROM UV RAYS*
a simple and Sure Test to know if its an Original Ray Ban from a fake is the etched letters BL on the top edge of the glass for each lens. If its only painted or that the BL initials are only found on one of the two lens.... then guaranteed it is fake. It also has a serial number etched on the shooter frame. I had my Ray Ban aviator for the past 20 years now and the gold frame has not even tarnished with all the sweat that I had throughout its everyday use for those 20 years!!! That was when RayBan was not yet bought by Luxxotica!!
Very good discussion, but you didn't check for a polarized lens. It is easy to determine if a lens is polarized by holding two pairs of glasses up and looking at a light source through both lenses .if both lenses are polarized the light will not pass through unless the polarized lines are parallel. When you rotate one of the lenses causing the polarity lines to become more perpendicular, the light through the lenses will gradually darken until it becomes totally blacked out, when the polarity lines are at 90 degrees to one another. This process will not work unless both lenses are polarized
Not 100% sure if the sunglasses are fake, those things on the logo sometimes happen (the B thing, sometimes is the R too) and the diference on the cases is because the bigger one is used on aviators size 62mm. Maybe just both cases are original.
that's the thing with a high quality knock off, if they sell it cheaper you'll know it's a fake, So they'll sell it at the same price as the original, but maybe give a 10% or 20% discount.
*FALSE!!! YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT SUNGLASSES MIDGET! IF YOU BOUGHT FAKE ONE SPECIALLY THE POLARIZED ONE THEY ONLY PROVIDE 60%-70% UV PROTECTION. UNLIKE THE AUTHENTIC ONE THEY PROVIDE 100% UV PROTECTION! Jose Martinez they are not, im an optician, have seen the fake one in the first seconds. the failures are explained very good, thank u Behram Dienlyle for uploading!
Aliexpress! Just type in aviator sunglasses and look at the picture reviews and you will see the ray ban symbol. But in the actually post for sale you won't see the ray ban symbol because they don't want to get in trouble. I got 5 pairs for 4$ each :)
No, it's not the same, because fake don't have the actual UV protection, and fake or cheap glasses are dangerous for your eyes because since they don't have the UV protection they just widen your pupils because they're dark and they allow more sun UV rays to come through to your eyes.
No, the fakes are UV400. They are not dangerous. Dangerous is folks like you who pay $150 for glasses you can get for $20 and can't tell them from the originals.
Ray ban used to be an American owned company. But, it is under control by an Italian company. The glasses were make in Italy and licensing manufacturers in China. In US, you can buy Ray-ban that were make in either Italy or China. Most people prefer those that were made in Italy. But, those glasses that were made in China were not fake.
Ray ban laser etched their initials into the opposite lenses of the logo typically crystal lenses will have it in the front of the lens and Polycarbonate lenses will have it on the inside.
The point on sunglasses is not on the skeleton but on the glass. If the glass is low quality its gonna damage your eyes. The interesting part in this video would be to tell us if he realises any difference on the glass between fake and original when he wears them. Nice video.
@@jrtan8613 lol an Italian company named luxxotica bought the company... Since then luxxotica is the designers as well as the manufacturers of raybans... So as the brands such as Oakley, bvlgari, chanel, dolce&gabbana and all the rest of the elite brands sunglasses are designed and manufactured in the very same factory...
Can I just say that you are wrong about the case, both cases are real they are different because the polarised one is the case for polarised aviators and the normal one is the case for normal ones, the case I know the case is real because I have a case like that that came with my pair of Ray-Bans that I ORDERED off of THE Ray-Ban website.
+Stephen Burack You are correct. I'm a Ray-Ban distributor in Europe. He was right on the box as they have changed it. To compare 55mm lenses to 58mm lenses is a very poor comparison. The only real way to test authentic glasses besides the obvious, is testing the lenses with proper equipment to assure they are 400 UV. This is a very poor RUclips demo, and he is grossly incorrect on some of his assertions. Here is Europe, there is a lot more stuff that comes with the glasses, which is much different than the U.S. market.
They faked pretty good. You just help the bad guys for their marketing. Good job there! And you just told me the good guys RayBaned me $200 USD each time I buy their products.
What does it matter if those "authentic" glasses only cost Luxxotica 30$ to make.. and not even in a sweat shop condition. People are stupid selling the idea that expensive GLASSES are worth the money.
As you say, they are extremely difficult to tell apart, so I'm quite happy wearing my Fake sun glasses and no one has ever asked me if they were genuine, neither have they ever asked me if my Rolex is genuine, which it isn't:)
I saw a pair of used aviators in a 2nd hand store today but a few things made me walk away. First, the white "RayBan" printing on the right lens was too far away from the frame, maybe a full 5-6mm away from the metal frame. Secondly, there was no RB or BL etched into the lenses. The pair i saw were gold frame, non polarized G15 colored, glass lens, spring hinges. I want to look at them again but i just don't think they're real. Are there any real raybans without the laser etching? I have some old ass real ones and they all have BL, and every modern pair i've looked at has the RB on the lens.
instead buy it from manish market in mumbai,india... thieves steal raybans from customs and sell them for abut2-3 dollars...but beware of cheating as u should understand the difference between real and fake ones...else u lose
one more thing u haven't tell in genuine ray ban on one lens it has written RB only inside the lens just like crizal lens on the extreme side.so plz check it out
arun nigam sorry but this is not true..the RB engraved came out of the lens ..I have around 12 sets of Ray Ban from Diffrents U.S RayBan Distributors. ...from Luxotica Era ..more than 12 years ago..and they came out side..and inside too..additional the only model make the lenss in glass are the Pilot..the other models comes in Polycarbonate
ray ban was originally founded by American company B&L, later sold to Italian company Luxottica...though the cost price is low..the shades and frames are very expensive...its monopoly.
Please answer. Do all ray ban models have an "RB" scratch on the right glass in addition to the "ray ban" signature on the left one? I've got a pair of glasses. The signature on the left written "ray ban" is there. But there isn't the "RB" scratch on the right side of the glass. I've seen a lot of ray ban glasses with that scratch but my pair hasn't got it. My model is Ray Ban 3362 Cockbit Brown. Does this mean it is fake?
I like how u flipped the aspect of te real being fake... it's like asking what makes the real real? you know... because if it's the price then you're over paying for something that was made for like 20-30 American dollars...
Fernando Ramirez i don't follow you drift, but the basic message is that a small company is marketing different glasses brands from on one company, causing a secret and home grown monopoly. in other words, causing an artificial high price. it' a scam.
they are actually pretty solid glasses I have had mine for 2 years and I got them after they fell 80ft off a roller coaster. in the same spot theres tons of exploded Oakleys and other glasses
hi.. its difficult..but i bought a rayban last year the cover style(leather one) as you said is ie the top side(cut) is straight type design for a fake. But the one I bought was also straight type design.Does it mean my one is fake.?..No way I bought from branded store only...
I only buy copies....... Glasses, Watches, T-shirts, Shoes, Underwear....... everything. It allows me to change every year for an upgrade. Who wants things that are out of date that will last for years? After watching this video, I would say that the copy product is clearly the better deal. Another thing........ Damaged or lost original, vs damaged or lost copy........ Original makes you cry........ Copy makes you shrug your shoulders, then be happy about your next new copy.
+John Paul Brotherton well because it's true in the fact that if you loose your fakes you won't feel that bad because they weren't expensive.. to where if you lose or break the real ones it will leave a small hole in your stomach...
I bought one pair (aviator but not polarise ) from Myer store in Sydney last week and to compare the video I got real one with the case what you said is fake. They said this type of case not fake in any way which is suitable for my ones.
Afroza Khanam yes tottally..True.!!....I been having ray ban shades all my life...!..from 80's era....I can tell the same as you said.!!..I got one set. around 6 years ago (Pilot style)..and comes with the same case..I bought it from Ray Ban distribuitor in Ft lauderdale ...
The thing is that by buying the fake ones, you don't pay the original makers, therefore people and the company that built these glasses back in 1937 are not recognised for what they ve done.I think that the "ignorance" of buying something expensive could be approached in multiple ways..
hey i just bought a pair on ebay and going by this video - the outter box is looks real, the serial numbers and barcode match up but the glasses case looks fake; it has a flat cut not a curve, and the logo is a bit shiny and the stars and text is not perfect. as for the glasses themselves.. the logo on the lenses checks out, you can feel it slightly raised with your nail and the "B" looks right.. but as for the nose peices, they don't curve with the lenses like you said they should.. so i got fake ones?
So I got two pairs of real ray bans from a yard sale yesterday in perfect condition for 10$ each, they're defiantly real, also my fiance got some name brand outfits with the tag still on them they their grandchildren never wore (seasonal clothing) So I think I won pretty hard. My opinion on real vs fake: It absolutely does not matter especially if the fakes are just as high quality, I'm very glad and lucky to of gotten two real pairs for so cheap but I would never spend a bunch of money on sunglasses
so it is wise then to purchase 2 ray bans a fake and real one to determine whether it is fake or not. the makers of the real one must put a control no on all their products and a no where we can verify the products being sold whether real or fake.
As an optician and optical technician myself i have tested many of these products. The difference in the original vs fake is not just in appearence but in the quality of the materials. In the aviator model in this video both the glass and the metal are totally different material when compared to each other. the glass lenses in an origianal is toughned crown glass which is much more durable and resistant to impact and will not shutter in a 1000 pieces like the fakes. The metal in an origainal rayban frame is steel and will bend without snapping. The metal on the fake raybans or a mixture of alloy metals which will snap when put under pressure and also will tarnish or peel. When you pay 100 dollars or more for originals you are paying for an authentic quality product with a history and story behind its name. It is like everything else on the market. For example car parts. Im sure if you own a Mercedes you will find cheap chinese replacement parts but is the quality as high as the original? everybody knows that genuine parts are best.
the left case is not fake, that's a prescription ray ban case, I had my real ones converted and they gave me that case from a ray ban authorised seller
Jasshands1 yes tottally..True.!!....I been having ray ban shades all my life...!..from 80's era....I can tell the same as you said.!!..I got one set. around 6 years ago (Pilot style)..and comes with the same case..I bought it from Ray Ban distribuitor in Ft lauderdale ...
LUIS medina me too. I paid 500 bucks for 2 pairs, and they both came with the same cases. They're original as you can tell on the nosepads but the cases are real.
Not all sunglasses are UV quality. And actually, that is the principle reason for wearing sunglasses. A colored lens just reduces light intensity but does not block the harmful UV radiation from the sun.
I have an absolutely real pair of American RB Aviator Shooters. I bought them in 1995. I've never used the cigarette holder circle centerpiece. I don't smoke (cigarettes). It does look pretty cool, though. The top of the frame crosspiece is properly engraved "Bausch and Lomb Ray Ban", and the let lens is properly etched, but like MacArthur's and Elvis', the right lens doesn't have the white Ray-Ban logo on it. I think they look much better without the logo.
I like them with the logo. There are a ton of gas station style aviators that you can get, so it’s good to have the logo to show they are actual Ray Bans
@@willitbend7262 Older American made Ray-Ban Aviators, like mine, do not have the white logo and they are the real thing, for sure. There are other more subtle, less openyl visible ways to tell if they are real or fake as this vid indicates. The only purpose for the logo is to let others know it, if that matters to you..
The shape is different because you are comparing a pair of Cockpits to a pair of Aviators. The Cockpits have a much more narrow lens, but similar style.
This video is cool. thank you. If the fake one gives me the same protection as the genuine one on a way lower price and they look similar. how about going for the fake one?
if you are pilot wearing $10 glasses they think it was authentic but if you are bus driver wearing the real one they will think it was a fake..
Ali Sani u said it
Sums it up.

That is true, the better quality Ray Bans are made in Italy, and the cheaper Luxotica brands are made in China.
what the heck are you saying? luxxotica have factory both in italy and china. same material used only cheaper labor in china. are you trying to say that ray ban made in italy are not made in luxxotica factory?
Afiq Ahmad Shakri when did he ever say that
Clubmasters are made in china
Thanks for this very in depth video dude, concluded that I bought real ones!
I don't mind fake if the price is right, they both look identical.
actual video starts at 9.29 before that is everything else except sunglasses.
Thank you.,...
So.. where do I get those high grade fake RB Aviators?
aliexpress
+Madhoob ebay : cheap n best
lol
LMAO
Madhoob Thailand. About 100b or U.S. $2.85. You'll find them in many markets.
No such thing as high quality glasses because they're all made by the same company, Luxotica
ZyanHD idc if someone sees me wearing the gucci brand and recognizes the value, then they're worth it to me lol
@@Aznsensazn lol they do...
You pay for brand name. Even if they are same there is value to the brand name.
Darryl Dickson FACTS!!! That’s exactly why I stopped purchasing directly from the luxury brands....same manufacturer different vendor.

a simple and Sure Test to know if its an Original Ray Ban from a fake is the etched letters BL on the top edge of the glass for each lens. That was when RayBan was not yet bought by Luxxotica!!
not all true rayban usa glasses have record BL in his glasses .
your ray ban is geniune since you had it before the company was
bought by luxottica
I'd buy the knockoffs for $10 over the name brand any day...It will look good with my $5 Rolex.
i find it intriguing you found a watch cheaper then ur sunglasses xd
that's the thing with a high quality knock off, if they sell it cheaper you'll know it's a fake, So they'll sell it at the same price as the original, but maybe give a 10% or 20% discount.

rayban polarized glass and rayban normal glass is diffrent. why you are comparing between 2 different glasses,?
If you want to rape your eyes buy fakes
both glasses are original they are different models.. you need to buy the exact same model so you can see the you do have original glasses
pretty Both are original.

original rate of ray ban glass
Best video I have found on this subject
technicaly all brands r fake , as all brands are made by luxotica .
Luxottica is the right name but you are right .. 😉
@eduardo ramirez ray ban isn't ray ban since 1999
so.....where can i get original looking fake glasses......
Aliexpress! Just type in aviator sunglasses and look at the picture reviews and you will see the ray ban symbol. But in the actually post for sale you won't see the ray ban symbol because they don't want to get in trouble. I got 5 pairs for 4$ each :)
Dont be lame, you cant find high quality for $4
Nelson Brown oh don't worry, cheap copies are designed to look real , not feel real. but most likely will.
But you can for $20.
IF your eyes get damaged don' complain then.
Who gives a fuck if they are fake? They are exactly the same. You just paying more to luxotica brand.
You're right but some are getting charged the same as the real thing, which is overpriced to begin with
but the fake is illegal and wearing a fake is pretending you have high quality gear when you actually don't poor boy
BluMixes Not the same at all, the uv filter and quality is only on the original. You can't pay big bucks then search for other brands
love your videos...you inspire me!
Thanks a lot. I was almost purchasing a fake one until I saw your video. Where did you buy the original one?
A ray ban store
Ray ban.com
Thank you for this video! Helped me a lot!
Did they charge the same price as a real one?
Wouldn't it make more sense just to buy the genuine ones from a reputable dealer in the first place?
Ray ban laser etched their initials into the opposite lenses of the logo typically crystal lenses will have it in the front of the lens and Polycarbonate lenses will have it on the inside.
and who owns all these brands??.....ans is LUXXOTICA

RAY BAN .MY FATHER'S FAVORATE. THEN ME ALSO
And u do get model no. In embossed On the nose frame In the original one
I bought my Rayban Aviators from a store and they came with the "wayfarer" case.. so I wouldn't say that's a giveaway that they're fake
The point on sunglasses is not on the skeleton but on the glass. If the glass is low quality its gonna damage your eyes. The interesting part in this video would be to tell us if he realises any difference on the glass between fake and original when he wears them. Nice video.
How can i get a hold of those fakes? Where are they selling them
They're all made by the same company. What's the point?
They are very expensive and people want exactly what they pay for
+ParkerPlaysDrums Exactly! And I dont think fakes are going to eliminate UV and look after the eyes, fakes are probably just tinted plastic shite
Ray-Ban's are made by Bausch & Lomb of Rochester NY. The quality of workmanship and material justifies the price.
No they aren’t
Here is Europe, there is a lot more stuff that comes with the glasses, which is much different than the U.S. market.
As long as it is high quality fake and the price is right ,who cares. But the thing is no one will tell you it is a fake. They want to rip you more.
+mmmodafoca i just saw the video about how luxxotica makes them all! crazy good thing i stopped buying the rayban brand years ago!
+Alex Lopez (E39) yea i buy from Walmart those 30$ glasses..which are also made by Luxxotica but they don't reveal it!
As you say, they are extremely difficult to tell apart, so I'm quite happy wearing my Fake sun glasses and no one has ever asked me if they were genuine, neither have they ever asked me if my Rolex is genuine, which it isn't:)
How good are the fakes? Test the lens. I'm interested.
I have some old ass real ones and they all have BL, and every modern pair i've looked at has the RB on the lens.
littlegoobie bl refers to bosche and lombe... then rayban was bought by luxottica and then started engraving rb initials on it
I would recommend you to buy fake ones rather than used real one because fakes quality is good and cheap.!
instead buy it from manish market in mumbai,india... thieves steal raybans from customs and sell them for abut2-3 dollars...but beware of cheating as u should understand the difference between real and fake ones...else u lose
one more thing u haven't tell in genuine ray ban on one lens it has written RB only inside the lens just like crizal lens on the extreme side.so plz check it out
arun nigam sorry but this is not true..the RB engraved came out of the lens ..I have around 12 sets of Ray Ban from Diffrents U.S RayBan Distributors. ...from Luxotica Era ..more than 12 years ago..and they came out side..and inside too..additional the only model make the lenss in glass are the Pilot..the other models comes in Polycarbonate
ray ban was originally founded by American company B&L, later sold to Italian company Luxottica...though the cost price is low..the shades and frames are very expensive...its monopoly.
When comparing the fake from the real, can you please put the word fake and real to the item considered so we can distinguish them favorably. Tnx.
Also, on real pairs, the brand and size is engraved on the bridge frame. Fakes will be screen printed.
Terry James no all model doesnt have rb.. like mind ray ban have b and l written on the left
Arshad Afridi Thank you. What do you think about the RB3506 model? Does it look good? What does it reflect?
Terry James mine is rb 3025 b and l . b and l stands for bausch lomb. different model than yours
Arshad Afridi I know, I was asking for your opinion about how it looks like. That's all.
Terry James your model is quite good than mine.. want to exchange with rb 3025? lol
good video, very informative! thanks for posting
The biggest difference is the price......... The original is clearly the scam product !!!!
John Paul Brotherton ummm the fake ones damage tour vision, soooo, no..
hi.. its difficult..but i bought a rayban last year the cover style(leather one) as you said is ie the top side(cut) is straight type design for a fake.
Copy makes you shrug your shoulders, then be happy about your next new copy.
nailed it on the losing your fakes or new shades lol
Fernando Ramirez Hi Fernando, thanks for your message. unfortunately I don't get the drift of your text.
+John Paul Brotherton well because it's true in the fact that if you loose your fakes you won't feel that bad because they weren't expensive.. to where if you lose or break the real ones it will leave a small hole in your stomach...
.

Thanks for your message. It's nice to have money and the real thing, but it still hurts when lost, damaged or stolen..
whos checking...headphones or speakers at 5:18....i surely did..!!!
The originals also have an RB laser etched in the lens
hey i just bought a pair on ebay and going by this video - the outter box is looks real, the serial numbers and barcode match up but the glasses case looks fake; it has a flat cut not a curve, and the logo is a bit shiny and the stars and text is not perfect. as for the glasses themselves.. the logo on the lenses checks out, you can feel it slightly raised with your nail and the "B" looks right.. but as for the nose peices, they don't curve with the lenses like you said they should.. so i got fake ones?
So I got two pairs of real ray bans from a yard sale yesterday in perfect condition for 10$ each, they're defiantly real, also my fiance got some name brand outfits with the tag still on them they their grandchildren never wore (seasonal clothing) So I think I won pretty hard.
My opinion on real vs fake: It absolutely does not matter especially if the fakes are just as high quality, I'm very glad and lucky to of gotten two real pairs for so cheap but I would never spend a bunch of money on sunglasses
so what if all glasses are owned by luxottica? what's wrong with that?
Yep, pretty sure I bought fakes for 100. 🙄 now I only buy from Sunglass hut. Thanks for the video
Where do we get the fake ray ban for cheap?
so it is wise then to purchase 2 ray bans a fake and real one to determine whether it is fake or not. the makers of the real one must put a control no on all their products and a no where we can verify the products being sold whether real or fake.
Isn't in original u get a model no. on the nose frame embossed one?

Were did you get the fake ones from

The shape is different because you are comparing a pair of Cockpits to a pair of Aviators. The Cockpits have a much more narrow lens, but similar style.
