This was such a great roundup of everything - Sezane should take note. This is the type of info we want and NEED to be able to make better purchases! Love it, love your channel, thanks for being such a great resource!
Awww and your comment is why I’m doing this! It makes me so happy when my videos help people! Sometimes the photos on the website (although absolutely stunning) leave us with so many questions ☺️
So glad I stumbled upon your video. Almost got L’Iconique Droit jeans as they look nice in this mid wash denim, but glad I waited as I did not know that they will that long. I am 166 cm and slimmer jeans in this length (71 cm) normally fit me just below the way you folded yours, but these look really long. Interesting 😮
I just discovered your channel recently and really ❤ it. I have been going back to view the older videos. I love going along on your shopping🛍️ trips. These jeans are great and definitely my style. It’s really helpful to get your take on the fabrics and fit. One thing I did want to note, “Mom” jeans were a very specific style back in the 80s. They had pleats in the front, an elastic waist in the back and were very baggy. “Mom” jeans was a negative term for jeans that were very unflattering. I realize it may have a different meaning now but I think it is the wrong term for these jeans that have a relaxed fit. Just a thought 😊 🫶🏻
Thank youuuu!! And welcome to my channel. I know exactly which reference you are talking about with the 80s mom jeans. It's true what many brands call "mom jeans" now is quite different. I think you can find a bit of similarities with how the jeans fit on the booty but a lot of the other elements have been changed. Back in the 90s we called jeans similar to Sezane's Mum trouser "carrot pants", because of the shape of the leg. It seems like the modern day design is a hybrid of few different designs
I'm on the fence about buying Sezane jeans as I don't know which style and fit is right for me. I didn't order a pair a long time ago and they were too tight in my waist. I'm 5'2" and 125 lb. The jeans you are demonstrating here would be too long for me. But! very helpful for me to decide which one to try next. The coffee color jeans are my favorite right now anyway. Excellent narrative, thank you.
I'm glad the video is helping! Usually most Sezane pants/jeans are very long on me too! The only time jeans from the brand fit me without needing hemming is when they label them "crop" or "ankle length" :)) Maybe down the road Sezane will implement different length for pants!
Jeans and more Jeans. I am a jean fanatic. So this video was amazing. Thank you for trying the mom’s jeans. I am thinking of getting them. I have a few of Sézane jeans. But I still can't try my last purchase as I fractured my wrist and can't do the buttons. So I am hoping they will be the right fit. Have a good evening. Cheers!❤️
I wish Sezane starts making clothes for petite, I write them every years in their questionnaire. I have read statistics and most women in the world are a petite size (less then 170cm) I don't understand the obsession with cut for tall.
My guess is that it's because one can always shorten the jeans but the tall ladies can't add length if the jeans are made too short. To me all the pants are too long as well hah only when something is labeled "cropped" is when I know it will be perfect full length on me hah
I disagree so many brands cater to petites.. some stores have entire sections for petites! If us tall girls can have one store that gives us the lengths many stores fail to offer it should be celebrated! I love sezane and it’s the only store other than Aritzia I can shop at - in* person* (not online*) where the pants don’t look like floods.
Wish for the same! I had to send back the jeans because they were so high waisted they came up to my bra, yes I can hem the length but I cannot adjust all the other measure like rise and knee placement. Most petite women have shorter bodies, not just shorter legs
Thank you soooo much, Zory. This is super helpful! I hope you still have the L’Iconique Droit Trousers with you. Would you mind measuring the waist width for Size 4 for me? I'm not sure if I should order size 2 or 4. Really appreciate that.❤
The Le Crop denim looks like dark brown, while the new coffee color on their website is much lighter. It’s a big difference. So the true coffee color is this dark? Thank you for sharing this!
Thanks for this review Zory! I’ve been looking at a few of these so this is really helpful 😊 One question - do the Crop jeans in Coffee hold their shape throughout the day? I hate it when pants fit great in the morning but are a baggy saggy mess by the end of the day 😂 Cheers!
I haven’t worn them out (they need to be hemmed) so I can’t say for sure but I feel like the elastine in the composition should keep the shape well. I haven’t seen people complain about Le Crop being saggy
Thank you for this really helpful video! I'm thinking of getting a pair of le crop but i don't know whether I should size up or down. I'm between a 36 and 38. The Sezanne website advises to size up if between 2 sizes but i don't want them to stretch too lose as I wear them. Have you any advise on the sizing of the le crop you got? Sorry if you mentioned this already. Thank you😊
I sized up. I think they run just a little small so I do agree with the website that if you are between sizes you should take the one above ✨ hope that helps!
They usually do restocks Fridays and Sundays (before the new drop, maybe 30 min). I’m not sure if the Ron will return. Maybe customer returns? It’s a very popular item so you might have to check often to snag one
Hi zorymory, thank you for the review! I like the Mom jeans from Sézane, but I'm wondering, how is the rise? Is it mid rise or inbetween mid and high rise? Could you provide the length of the rise, so I can compare it with my jeans? Thanks in advance! Greetings from the Netherlands, Lisa
It's 28 cm from the crotch seam to the top. Hope that helps! I love the Netherlands! I was trying to come visit for tulip season but unfortunately I won't make it this year (fingers crossed for next year)
How high could you theoretically wear the 90s jeans and get away with it? Since the 90s were known for low rise jeans, I'm thinking this must be the reason for the wider waistband.
hmmmm I guess you could use a belt to bring the jeans higher but then I'm not sure how the drape of the legs would be. I already returned the size 4 90s as it was too big on me and can't try and say for sure. I think Sezane made the 90s to sit low rise on your hips
Very different designs. The mum jeans are more fitted, a lot less fabric and about an ankle length. The 90s are oversized and baggy with lots of fabric that drapes. I think it comes down to which silhouette you'd prefer. Up until this year I would have gone for the mum jeans or the straight just because it's more of my style (more fitted) but I'm trying to branch out and try new silhouettes which is why I'm trying to find wide leg denim that works for me. What about you? What kind of denim do you usually gravitate to? What's comfortable and fits your lifestyle better?
@@zorymorythanks for the great response! I’m up until recently skinny jeans girl (hi millennials!) so trying to branch out! Which ones did you end up keeping? You look fab is all of them!
Thank you @@raduna2106 Honestly the whole order is still here and I'm debating on keep vs return still. The 90s are going back because they are too big. As for the rest, ask me in a week :))))

Such a great video. I was worried the Iconic straight would be too short on me, but you've give me hope,
There is definitely length there! Try them!
This is so helpful! I would love to see more styling ideas with the coffee color :)
Yes! I just need to hem them!

Sezane pants tend to be very long! Most of the times i have to hem them (unless they are listed as cropped, that’s often full length on me)

Awww get well soon! I have another jeans video coming (maybe next week) featuring wide leg jeans from different brands (sezane, levis and everlane)
@@zorymory wonderful. Thank you❤️

it's like 14 inch lay flat. Do you have other pants by Sezane that don't have stretch? Which size did you get 2 or 4?
I love your styling of all 5 pairs. The one thing I don’t like is the “whiskering “ at the crotch area in most of these pairs.
Hi Zory! Loved your review. But, actually the Iconic has 1% elastane!
Oh yes! You are right! I totally didn’t see that, they don’t feel that stretchy (especially compared to the brown Crop)
The Le Crop denim looks like dark brown, while the new coffee color on their website is much lighter. It’s a big difference. So the true coffee color is this dark? Thank you for sharing this!
Hi there, Le crop denim vs mottled ecru, are they same fitting? I heard le crop denim runs small. Thanks ❤

Thank you! I like the light wash denim with pastel pink! Perfect color combo for spring!
Hi! Are the Le Mum jeans soft? I’m looking for a soft, lightweight pair. Thanks so much! Love your videos 🥰
They are soft. I'd say they are light but not paper thin. They kind of need some body to have the shape that they do have.
Thanks so much!

Which jeans would you recommend for boyish figures (wide waist, narrow hips)? The 90s? Thank you Zory!
Thank you for reviewing the l’iconique droit!! I have been trying to find reviews online since they came out! Did you also take a size 4?
Oh I just got to the end where you said they’re US 4!
Yes, all the jeans in this video are a size 4 so the comparison between the already very different designs is easier to show ✨
Hi, do you know when Sezane will restock Ron Top and how often they restock? ❤❤
They usually do restocks Fridays and Sundays (before the new drop, maybe 30 min). I’m not sure if the Ron will return. Maybe customer returns? It’s a very popular item so you might have to check often to snag one

Yeah, I think so. They are a similar thickness but the Mum jeans feel just a little bit softer
