- Gayton McKenzie (born 10 March 1974) is a South African politician who is currently serving as Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture since July 2024.
He is a former criminal who was jailed for robbery for 17 years. He is a businessman, motivational speaker, author and former Executive Mayor of the Central Karoo District Municipality in South Africa. He is also the president of the Patriotic Alliance political party. He came to prominence in the early 2000s for his role in a prison exposé that eventually led to his early release amid an investigation of prison corruption by the Jali Commission of Inquiry. McKenzie grew up in the Heidedal neighborhood of Bloemfontein, South Africa.

We are all aware of his past and actually his past is not we worried about. He is a changed man and he is continually changing the lives of people. People we need to understand one thing, people can be rehabilitated and change. So stop worrying about his past because he's the only politician that is transparent and furthermore he is not even taking a salary. Change is coming in South Africa, you can either be part of the change or stay in your own bubble in the past.

Gayton Mkenzi has made the best out of his second chance and he is very motivated becuase he has enough money to just sit beck and relax for rest of his days but he chooses not to and to make poeples living conditions improve town by town so all respect to him , i might not always agree with all his policies but hes on the right track so big ups to him.
If seen worse ,nothing dark abou this man ,the future looks brighter when i see him open his mouth things gets done unlike some politicians in this world!
