Hey if anybody checked this video do not just pull that like he did the green thing you're supposed to push if you have a 2007-2009 like I have it won't be a green thing will be just a white skinny thing but still you push it down then you pull the cable
That is the/a service hose. Someone posted the part number in one of the comments. You can also call the chevy house and ask them for the part number. That hose connects to the EVAP Solenoid. Supposedly, this is the part #12581282 but please make sure it is.

Sorry for the late reply. I ordered mine from www.rockauto.com ; I got tha ACDelco serpentine belt, ignition coil and spark plugs all the same brand. It's been a year later and still those products are working top notch.

Smoke test or soapy water and air to see if it leaks from the valve

On the fumes in the gas tank reach a certain pressure the purge valve opens up and burns off the gas fumes
