please don't hesitate to visit those darker topics when it comes to talking about games. I think it makes you more human to be able to discuss a wider range of human emotions and experiences. Our memories and typically full of happy and sad times and everything in between. I'm happy you were able to relive those moments with your father
Now I realize sad time is, officially, over, but I'm sorry for your loss. Also your videos are great, I gotta respect the effort you put into editing them, and I hope this next year is better for you professionally and personally (at least a year without having to consider mortality).
Finished the video. Also not a fan of MMO's and most years, i will come back for the new worlds and story updates and leave for awhile. Definitely worth picking up for a casual fun story to playthrough with friends. Not the best experience alone or ignoring the story because I think that's where most of the enjoyment comes from. The people and the narrative.
Hey! I just found your channel, and, I must say, that was a great video! I loved this game too, when I was younger. I vividly remember going into the public houses and playing tag with a bunch of strangers, and it was a blast. I also had an experience with my father in this game. We would play together a lot, bond over the goofy story, and get stuck trying to get to Firecat Alley with the silly quizzes. Although we are no longer on speaking terms, seeing this game allows me to remember the good parts of our relationship instead of the bad ones. Thank you for reminding me of this game, and keep making videos. Sorry for your loss.
2:15 This, this made me sub. Kinda want a glass of milk now Aside from this being a huge part of my childhood, then playing Skyrim & every Fallout game as I grew up…
A video about W101 was absolutely not what I expected from your channel but this is a welcome surprise! I still play it to this day and I love to watch videos about it, so thank you for talking about one of my favorite childhood games!
I played through this game up to level 50 and beat Malistair recently to complete a childhood goal of mine. It was a bit of a slog but I felt very satisfied when I finished. I don't think I will play any further as my nostalgia only took me that far but I would say that the game is still fun and recommend it to anyone who has similar memories of playing the free areas of the game over and over again. Thanks for the vid!
The passing of my father also deepened the connection I have with Wizard101. My dad introduced me to the game, and we played it together a lot. I did, however, continue to play for years until he passed. I remember trying to guess the maximum level with him; and he told me it was probably 101. When i made it to lvl 101, i actually cried. I will never be able to tell him that I finally hit that level, let alone now that I’ve beaten the game (max lvl is 170!) Its very special to see that this game has touched so many in a somewhat similar way.
Hey sorry for your loss. Nostalgia its a dangerous thing, and this game is no exception, it makes you remember the people you play with and the good times you had. I believe thats the reason why you aint coming back to this because its gonna keep hurting you. As I currently playing the game it brings me joy seeing people enjoying the game and talk about the game.
Sorry for your loss, but also thank you for sharing this special game from your childhood with us! I don't think I ever saw commercials for Wizard101 (probably because I'm from Eastern Europe) so I had no idea this game existed. I think I would have also loved playing it as a kid!
Wizard101 was also my first experience with MMO and my Grandpa would play with me on his own account. He gave me my very first permanent mount, the blue and white Pegasus mount. I wish I still had it bc it meant so much to me at the time and he's no longer here. I still have him on my friends list.
I don’t think wizard 101 is ever gonna go away, people love this game and keep it alive, I also wanna say that you can buy every single area in this game for about $180 worth of crowns and have it unlocked forever, and that’s cheaper than most super expensive board games that have tons of expansions. And once you have all the areas unlocked you have them unlocked forever, I unlocked all of them in 2012 up to dragonspyre and I’ve had them unlocked ever since, I still need to do it for up to where the game is now, but it really isn’t too bad, it’s no different than spending $120 on the deluxe gold edition of whatever the game of the year is
this was totally the first mmo I played. besides maybe free flash stuff like poptropica. remember my friend turning me on to it in middle school. just the idea of so many people together was really cool.
I mostly remember the edge oozing from everything while playing a Death School character, and also using cheatengine to cheat in the carnival minigames and realizing even with cheats it's annoying and worthless.
this video, and the title alone describes my whole childhood. i was up all night playing Wiz, and when i was able to spend money on gaming, i instantly bought some membership and grinded all night long, like i used to! sweet memories!
I also remember playing this and running into the paywall when I was in middle school (ages 11 to 15 in 2006 to 2009). I thought it was pretty neat,. I enjoyed the designs of the characters and the little puns with names. Still wild to me that some of these games are truckin along. Neopets is SOMEHOW still here. I was more into the harry potter role playing forums. There was also one for the tv show Lost. I've learned I am not good at "acting" or Improv. So kudos to everyone who can do 50 to 200 words or more roleplaying.
I come back to this game every time I’m on a break from school, and I get addicted everytime 😂😂last night I just did a 2 hour boss fight with 4 ppl. Felt like it would never end
I'm sorry to hear about your dad especially with you so young losing him. On Wiz you made a cool, well edited video and i hope you make more on Wiz when there's free membership in 2025. There seems to be free Wiz City and krok, free first arc a few times per year and free entire game mostly around Christmas, so don't be a stranger!
There used to be a time when you could finish the main story without paying a dime. Only the optional worlds not relevant to the main story were locked, like dlc. The change happened when i was still playing as a child. Hurt so much when it happened.
We had that version of the game here in Turkey. After people from the other servers found out that we had the free story mode everyone flocked in to the game. But unfortunately Kıngsisle got the wind of it and shut down the Turkish server :(
Sadly never was true for the US servers, unless you're counting the closed beta pre-release, but there were no side worlds until Grizzleheim in 2009.. I remember starting in 2008 as a kid and convincing my parents to buy me a year sub so I could keep going with my new friends.
I started playing this game when I was three years old lol, but later on, when I revisited this game around 2015 I got hit by the paywall and I was disappointed and haven’t touched the game. But the micro transactions can be very dangerous because you can get addicted to gambling since there are packs 😳
sorry to hear that must be awful losing a parent so not exping that myself more so as my dad never really got to meet or know as was gone before i was born but he is alive. neares simlar thing is lose granny and grawps to cancer. you can join some boss fight if game allow teleporting to them but a lot have your friends is busy pop up.
Despite being a kids game, I'm positive most of the people playing today are adults who played as kids (coming from an adult who's playing this game). Passing through the commons to see cute chat bubbles popping up about people complaining about NFTs or talking about their jobs is so liminal.
When I was young, I was so gollible, this game taught me a harsh lesson. From is commercail. The graphics grabbed my attention. Still waiting on that UHDR Graphics pack KI 😂.
On KI’s defence, they gotta pay the employees who made the game SOMEHOW. That’s why almost every online game has a membership option and optional microtransactions. And as someone who has experienced death (as in I have been temporarily declared legally dead) once, I am sorry for your loss but I know your father went exactly to where he thought he belonged. Given how you don’t speak badly of him, I assume he was a good man and so he probably thought/hoped he would go to Heaven, which is likely where he now is.
I've always heard about Wizard 101 but I was too busy on flash games and Runescape to try it myself. I definitely would have to pick the death school though, I don't know what it is but I can't stay away from these edgelord classes in games, I always pick Necromancer if it's an option lmao. it's always vaguely reminded me of Adventure Quest and those other games too when I hear about it lol. Good video as usual
I think I may be the only kid on earth to have played Toontown and Runescape but not Wizard 101 lol, I swear the overlap for those fanbases was shocking lmao
I used to really love wiz, but they got worse and worse with their monitization over time. You *can* play with just the subscription, which isnt a particularly bad thing, lots of games have subscriptions rather than a purchase, but if you want to actually progress in all aspects within a reasonable time you are heavily encouraged to spend money due to overly tedious progression systems (im looking at you pets) and poorly balanced pvp
Miss. Content creator, I know just like me, the Adds on TV Kidnapped your attention or grabbed it🙂. Thus begins the start of entertainment, that quickly got misused by us as kids, without parent (Super-Vision😉).
I have spent so much time on trivia i have a second account i beat malistare with during the free membership so i could gift my main account packs with the crowns i get from the trivia every day i do 20 quizs a day i have money and a job but can't bring myself to spend money i have been doing this for years i don't think i'm even having fun anymore send help.

Bro what is this Human studies 😂
The fact this game is still around and getting updated blows my mind!
Come play
i mean so is everquest 1 most mmo's hang around
The devs themselves arent getting updated to empower to think beyond what they know Unfortunately.
This is a human centric issue.
Now I realize sad time is, officially, over, but I'm sorry for your loss. Also your videos are great, I gotta respect the effort you put into editing them, and I hope this next year is better for you professionally and personally (at least a year without having to consider mortality).
I’m sorry for your loss. It’s special to have those reminders of the ones we love. Thank you for making this video.
Blows my mind you uploaded this as an avid wizard101 addict myself
Finished the video. Also not a fan of MMO's and most years, i will come back for the new worlds and story updates and leave for awhile. Definitely worth picking up for a casual fun story to playthrough with friends.

keep grinding and you finna blow up this year, you got good videos
The game honestly does get pretty difficult as you progress if you want more of a challenge lol, video is super good too!!
I want to confirm that I, genuinely, drank a tall glass of milk while watching this.
Truly the best beverage of all time
Talking about real life and its experiences should never be looked bad so feel free to speak your mind.
2:15 This, this made me sub. Kinda want a glass of milk now
Aside from this being a huge part of my childhood, then playing Skyrim & every Fallout game as I grew up…
It's so cool that you were able to revisit it, so many games are inaccessible anymore
A video about W101 was absolutely not what I expected from your channel but this is a welcome surprise!

The narrator throughout the game at 6:50 is Mother Raven who also helped create the spiral. You learn this near the end of Grizzleheim.
Rip Grandmother Raven(and narrator) we will miss you Dell

2:40 had me CACKLING BRO WTH🤣🤣🤣
watched this on my second monitor while fighting sandor spearcaller in dragonspyre on my lv45 death on the main monitor

This video is rly amazing well done
i woke up this morning and opened wiz then immediately closed it while yelling "im addicted!"
The most awesomest youtuber of all time

Omg you can ride the Ferris wheel thing I gotta try that haha
haha they added that with the Wiz City updated graphics about 5 years back, have fun
ur editing is so funny loved the vid ❤
Great edits by the way😂.
Whoooo!
this is the perfect game if you're constantly scrolling tiktok through the spell animations
Wizard 101 is a pilgrimage site for gamers; also, sorry for your loss. I wish you the best.

Watch for free wiz city and Krok/first arc/member through the year. RUclips Richard unicorn caller usually shares wiz news
No one ever really quits wiz.
been playing wiz since I was 10 still playing at 25 my friends tell me I should stop playing it my simple answer is no my longer answer no never
sorry to hear that must be awful losing a parent so not exping that myself more so as my dad never really got to meet or know as was gone before i was born but he is alive. neares simlar thing is lose granny and grawps to cancer. you can join some boss fight if game allow teleporting to them but a lot have your friends is busy pop up.

great vid, and my condolences
I play a myth wizard as my main, judge me. Lol
When I was young, I was so gollible, this game taught me a harsh lesson.
From is commercail.
The graphics grabbed my attention.
Still waiting on that UHDR Graphics pack KI 😂.
That mmo curser is cursed, kept thinking it was an ant
She’s basically is a gardener wiz build!
Your video came just in time! My Death Wizard Dorian Silver missed me and my pets
Yeah, that's right, that Pink Nintento DS, was eye appealing to me too, even though I am a boy, something about its shape caught me attention😂.
The voice of Merle Ambrose and Grandmother Raven are gone. Makes me sad.
There's actually deep lore about the narrator, especially in arc 3
For moving your wizard you can also use the arrow keys
Randomly stumbled upon this giant nostalgia hit, just to be startled by a Boris Todbringer one eye gag 😂
I dropped my phone on my face
Did not expect to see a video on this game at 2am... cozy ass game #StormWizardGang

I played this hella much back in 2011 - 2013 now it’s coming to consoles I’m happy about that (I don’t own a pc)
Hearing about the personal connection, there is not much I can say or offer other than.. hugs
i started back a couple of months ago after a 4 year break and have been playing a ton and the combat gets quite a bit harder after the 1st arc :)
Great video
Lovely video as usual milk 😊
I thought the watermark in the lower right was a crack in my screen for a second there 😂
Life is the hardest school, deathlords wouldn't understand.
Where milk drinking addictions begin
another banger video 🔥

Absolutely based taste.
RIP ambros
Drank milk 101 times while watching this
I think I may be the only kid on earth to have played Toontown and Runescape but not Wizard 101 lol, I swear the overlap for those fanbases was shocking lmao
some would call it an initiation
This video is litty

Thus begins the start of entertainment, that quickly got misused by us as kids, without parent (Super-Vision😉).
Also, wizard101 is not a Childrens game, it's a game that's specifical made to target younger audiences.
Who up drinkin they milk rn???
I have spent so much time on trivia i have a second account i beat malistare with during the free membership so i could gift my main account packs with the crowns i get from the trivia every day i do 20 quizs a day i have money and a job but can't bring myself to spend money i have been doing this for years i don't think i'm even having fun anymore send help.
why 20? you can only earn crowns doing 10.
I wish you would’ve roasted them more for the pay-to-win and micro transactions, this game deserves to fall
Based game
Do not play elder scrolls online, do not do that to yourself
