@@Nu11S3t Great question! From what I can tell the throttle does respond well to your inputs. I’ve driven some other newer cars that have terrible response or give 80% with 20% input, etc. Congrats on that. I think you’ll really enjoy it 🙂
Great question! I've had that sitting on my mind for a bit. I think now that you mentioned it, I should do it sooner rather than later. I actually have a different break in approach that people might find enlightening.
The most technically optimal way to breakin an engine is to rev it at every different point of the rpm range so that the engine components are exposed to different pressures. You can find manufacturers and engineers talk about this. This is what i've done for all my cars beit new or 28 years old with a new engine. It's the best way imo and you can safely beat on an engine at the track even when you don't use it for 6 months.
As long as you don't go on a race track, this car is great. This car suffers from low oil pressure in righthand corners which causes the engine to fail.
@@samserious1337 You can very much go to the track, and plenty do. Just like any car, there are some steps to take to prep it to run it safely. There’s plenty of information proving it to be a solid platform.
@@shift__robinson There is plenty of information that you should NOT go on a race track with this car, you only can mitigate the oil pressure drop problem by short shifting, 0.5-1.0L oil overfill, oil pan baffle and/or installing an accumulator.

Roadster vs Coupe, 2 seats vs 4 seats, power and weight are close but not the same, wheel base length is different, driving characteristics are different, overall chassis design is different, and of course the obvious power plant differences as well. I appreciate it. Are you a Miata owner and had a chance to drive the BRZ/86?

I don’t like convertibles, even though I had a NB that I enjoyed driving. It comes down to preference and purpose. I like the trunk size and using back seats as storage, just makes more sense for me. I also prefer the Toyota interior vs Mazda.

@@shift__robinsonthey’re full of shit. I have a 718 gts 4.0 as well as a gr86 and the 86 does not feel slow to me. You’re still faster than the majority of street traffic (if you know how to shift) which is all you need.

If u put a turbo on it, u add 75lbs towards front of the engine , and it messes up the balance of the car
