How in the alphabet soup did I miss this great video in January? Always a joy to see what you are doing. And your podcast are always worth revisiting. ❤️❤️❤️
What a joy to find someone that journals with color and a different style, one I can relate to!! This video is amazing and I love how you make it look doable. I find making journals so fascinating but never connected to the idea, you opened a new world of possibilities. Will look for your classes and join in the search for my own style. Thank you so much for the inspiration and opening a new crafting outlet. Thank you for sharing. Gisela
dear wendy…im from switzerland and laughed a lot as you talked about your pens and which one you use…your fude ball pen..and how you pronounce it was to good😂😂😂 how you say „ fude ball“ sounds in switzerland like „fudi ball“ fudi means „butt“ in a cute way😂😂😂 its sounds soo good. thank you for making me smile and btw. its unbelievable amazing what you create😍😍😍 i am always so amazed about your journals and the way you create them (as an profesional bookbinder my big respekt) and all your handwriting and mixed media and sooooo much more😍😍🥰🥰 thank you for all the inspiration many greez faithy😊
Thank you so much for sharing! I struggle with writing on my journal pages. Books on hand lettering or calligraphy haven't helped because they seem so complicated. But you made lettering seem accessible! ❤ Thanks again!
When l don't want to write fast in my handwriting l use the "other hand", the right as l am left-handed. This slows my writing down and forces me to control and think of the letters l write and discover a completely new handwriting style that is just mine... 😉
I loved playing around with lettering & also went through the "am I a this kind of 'a' person or this kind of 'a' per person" in my teens. I am a very grammar correct type of person (teacher aide), but I like the mixing of upper & lower case in quotes for art journaling. So that's my challenge for myself.... To let go & play! I love cursive & practiced a lot when younger but many can't read it these days... Becoming a lost art. Enjoyed this one! 🥰
Such a positive motivator you are!! I, too, am a lefty and was always told my letters were not formed correctly . I even had a teacher in college that made me practice, ad nauseam, until I got it right! (I was doing my teacher training a LONG time ago!😏). I love the idea of changing things up and looking at lettering from a shape point of view! Thanks so much for sharing your creative talent!!😃❤️
I was always told by my mom my handwriting was terrible...however...I have shown my handwriting on my channel...and so many people have complimented it. So I now see that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Thank you for your video..I really enjoyed it!
That was such a great video! I have listened to a few of your podcasts and have really enjoyed them but did not realise you had a RUclips channel! I'll subscribe and nose around more. One of my intentions in 2023 is to do something about writing in my journals. Like you pointed out, handwriting doesn't really cut it... and mine is boring, I'm off to find some squared paper and have a play xxx Kathryn
This was such a helpful video. I do struggle with my handwriting. I either print box types letters or very careful Palmer handwriting skills I learned in grade school I would love to do calligraphy but I just don't get the knack for it. I like what you do very much and I'm going to subscribe to your Channel. Thank you so much
Thank you for this lesson, it was very interesting, now I see handwriting in a completely different way!

Names of pen used….reference to past utube
thank you so much for sharing this. how do you keep your lines of text straight horizontally?
One way to do it is to lightly pencil in lines that you can erase after the ink is dry.
Love this ! Would you be able to share the name of the pens? Thank you
Here's a blog post I wrote about the pens I use: www.willawanders.com/blog-posts/best-pens-art-journaling?rq=pens
