I think a good way to break the anxiety of “ruining” your Bible is to buy one to specifically “ruin”….😊😊😊 purchase one at dollar tree and mark it up. What you’ll find is that once you’re spending time with God, your creative mind will naturally flow; and eventually you’ll come to the point where you’ll want to use a better quality Bible or your Bible of choice. Then, the dollar tree Bible can be saved for reflection of where you started or my favorite donate it; this will definitely be an inspiration for the receiver… Who knows… your time spent with God may just be the saving Grace they needed from God❤❤❤

It is ‘bad’ if you’re writing over the words. Taking notes in it isn’t the same thing as doing that.
There are specific bibles on the market now than there ever used to be for note taking, journaling in AND also artwork! If you feel moved by god to do so, then you SHOULD mark in it, so long as you can still see what’s written in there.

So many are taught that the book part of the Bible is sacred, so dont write in it. The Words are sacred b/c they are inspired by God. He loves that we want to take notes and study His Word. The more you write, the more you know. Write in it everyday. A good Bible that is a study Bible, is the New Inductive Study Bible by Kay Arthur of Precept Ministries. It has questions, space, and helps you inductively study the ENTIRE BIBLE. It is wonderful. Check it out!! 😉

If you’re worried about others judging you at church, you’re probably in the wrong place…either that or they don’t understand what it’s like to really follow Jesus who said not to judge! Idk how they can call themselves a true Christian if that’s a thing.

I consider my Bible, my road map for my life. Everyday, God shows me something new. Even if 6 months from now, I may read that scripture in my devotional, it brings on a whole new meaning that day for what I may be experiencing in life. I'm so thankful to have the Lord in my life and have him as a friend and companion that never leaves us nor forsakes us. But best of all? He's our Heavenly Father who created us in his image to serve and to worship him! What a comfort to know that his word does not return void....and what does that mean?
My Mom has been a Sunday School teacher for over 60 years. She just turned 80 and is an assistant teacher for an elderly class with over 100 members in our class alone within our church. She asked the Lord what does "void" mean? Like void a check or void an invoice? Well, God spoke to her in prayer and told her "My word does not return unfulfilled"!! Oh my goodness, I have chills even typing this. Our God is so awesome! He is the author and finisher of our faith. He has shown me over the years how loving and faithful he really is. He is never late, but is always on time. I pray everyday for childlike faith and to never doubt him nor his word.
I love your Bible Journaling ideas. You can use one for journaling, then have one for taking to church. It's not meant to sit on a shelf collecting dust or to carry to church and open on Sunday. (I know, I was one of those individuals at one time 40 years ago). God wants us get in his word, to get to know him from Genesis to Revelation and everything in between. Not only for the stories that are told, but it applies in our everyday life as we live it today. Love to you all in Christ Jesus! Nana 🙏🫶

Ma'am, you might not think these videos are boring, but for someone like me I've been born again for 23 years. And my fire and oil of the Holy Spirit became less and less the more and more that the issues of the world became my focus. I left my first Love, and in the middle of all of this He never let me go, and the more that I am drawn back to Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, because God is very Meticulous, detailed, concerning everything that has to do with our lives, I stopped running and yesterday I embraced Him and I have been redeemed! And yesterday I first saw your video Ma'am. And I have never journaled before . I read God's Word and study certain things so I can get a clearer understanding of what is being said, and what this means and what that means.
Nonetheless, I am greatly appreciative for you making videos for people like me to see. Because this helped me out more than you know, and I just want to say Thank you for being used to help lift people up.

Instead, believe, meaning fully trust, that in Christ's love for you, on the cross, His one perfect blood sacrifice, when Christ bled, suffered and died, in your place, paid for your sins in full, past, present and future ! 11:22 absolutely hit me hard! I have been struggling so much with reading my Bible after jumping back into Christianity earlier this month. I want to take notes, but I can't take ""pretty"" notes. THANK YOU for saying this so plainly and openly, it convinced me to finally start studying my Bible again! It doesn't need to be pretty, it just needs to be studied and put into practice

I've been inspired by your Bible journaling, but I'm not so crafty and I regularly carry and use a couple different Bibles. So, I adopted the strategy for index cards. I used Bible book tabs to create a section for each book and now I keep sermon and study notes on index cards and sort by passage. Sometimes with color and stickers :) Thanks for the inspiration!

My ocd goes a little left of center some days. So I have 1 pristine bible. I use it on the days my mind is on overload. Just read. Just be still in the word. Then the days that I am whaaaaaa. I have a journaling bible. Highlights. Stickers. Notes. Whatever!
Just saying, it’s ok. Be you. Whatever that might look like on any given day.

I had bought a bible that at the time was my favorite bible and not long after owning it, I dropped it and it damaged several of the pages and just broke my heart so much so it made me cry. But I also write notes and draw in my bibles as I study and I am glad that I am not the only one who does.

Wow. Bible journaling looks like a great way to flesh out the word. However I love reading my Bible without notes or highlights. Lately I am feeling compelled put together a binder of different church and Bible related notes I find myself having to google multiple times to make sure I'm remembering right. I am watching your video for a bit of inspiration for how I could make my notes. You have actually inspired me to read my Bible more consistently so thank you!

@MeWatchingThings - she wasn't being judgmental at all. She was stating what she likes, which happens to differ from other people. You do know and understand that people are allowed to share how they study God's word, and not be judgmental, right? People need to stop getting so offended. I'm not one to journal the way Faith does because it would be a distraction to me. To. Me. I might have a bit of ADHD going on. I have small notes here and there throughout my Bible in the margins, but they're pretty short notes, and don't distract me from what I'm reading. I like to highlight certain passages and verses. That's about as far as I go. Why? Because (and this brings me to the second reason I don't journal *IN* my Bible the way Faith does) the notes I make while studying God's word literally require a separate book for me, so I have a beautiful spiral notebook that I use to write my notes and thoughts in. There's literally not enough space in my Bible for the level of notes I'm taking.
I'm not being judgmental, and neither was OP. Just stating what works for us. You're free to espouse what works for you... but don't go picking fights.

Well ... I just ordered my interleaved bible as I have wanted one. I am using several bibles with you and Cat Woods. As I love to be creative, and now I give voice to that in bible study and verse mapping, word studies, and now chapter mapping and book mapping. I have been a born again believer since 1975 and bible study has never been this much fun cos it uses all me ... I have binders for many books of the bible and my goal is to have 66 on my shelves as well as my bibles ... Cos I have family I want to pass my bibles to eventually ... I am 68 now and starting this journey with you is such fun! I have so many supplies I can use too as my mom left me her massive supply of crafting stuff!
Faith, I praise God you are on RUclips, you and Cat have helped me use my bibles to express myself as I receive with joy the engraved word into my heart and mind.
On my own now I can fill my heart and time with such beauty and fun.

Hello! :) I absolutely agree with you, God is the source of faith! I also believe that God is using Faith (the girl, not the word) as in instrument into bringer more people to Him. I do indeed admire her love and faith for the Lord, seeing the strong relationship people have with God makes me want to get even closer with Him. God wants us to be dwelled in His Spirit and wants us to have a relationship with Him. God wants us to go to Him first and foremost of course, but just look at the Bible, it's FILLED with people guiding others to the Lord and being used for God's glory. I hope that clears that up for you :) Have a blessed day, friend!

Wow!! 😅… my very first Bible ended up like yours and decided to get another one to save that one and show it to my kids to motivate them when they are old enough to read . It truly changed me !!!!! I read it from genesis to revelation! Took me 1 year and a half because I was taking notes and reading chapters sometimes 3 times asking the Holy Spirit and praying to help me understand what it meant. You are such a blessing 👏👏👏👏👏👏

I was hesitant to bible journal at first because my perfectionist side wanted it to be just right, perfect, beautiful. That was the wrong way. I have started watching you & really listen to what God wants from me. I am now journaling with a journal bible that suitable but not perfect in the way it could be. I started journaling the way I feel God is leading me. It is becoming a bible for me to grow in my relationship with God. I am really excited to be in the word. I am reading more, I have my bible dictionary out, the bible study that I am working through & my crafting tools. Most that I had already. I am looking through them to see how to use them in my bible to engage with God. It is SO GOOD.

About a year ago (still lost me) I was an avid reader and loved books. My books needed to be pristine and the spine couldn’t be cracked. I took such good care of them when I read them. So when I got saved and got a bible the thought of putting pen to paper in a book was blasphemous. But once I did it it became so liberating. I now have a journal bible that I write in and I have no system or colour codes. It is just notes in whatever colour takes my fancy. I look at it now and I love seeing my notes and thoughts on the page as a learn more. It will be so nice to see my growth in a couple of years to see how far I have come with God.
