I always felt Opie doing jocktober was like those politicians who pass ani-gay legislation, then get caught blowing a guy. He knew deep down had it not been for meet Anthony, he would be doing the fugitive in Sacramento
I've said it in a different Jocktober clip - while Anthony and Jimmy would annihilate the other jocks, you could tell they were simply having fun with it.
On the flip side, you could hear the actual anger/insecurity in Greggs voice - constantly repeating how long he was doing radio and pointing out the fake jock voice.
He knew in his heart of hearts he would've been a Jocktober bit. He is truly the most insecure person I've never met....along with being a textbook narcissist with a nice healthy dose of the ol' autism.

Isnt it strange how of them can sit in a room together and just make jokes and laugh with/at each other? Theres nothing but laughter and fun. Not a single second of tension, will anyone get mad if I say this, why aren't I getting any laughs, anger at equipment, anger at bosses, gotta hurry and get to the next topic. Yet the show still moves, and the joy is clearly present and passed to the listeners. Which style do you think would be more condusive to creativity, or wanting to go to work? Just curious.

While I understand the sentiment, I think Opies awfulness and over sensitivity kinda helped the show in a lot of ways. Sure, he's terrible, but the drama which inadvertently (I in no way think it was intentional) resulted from his terribleness made for some good radio. Fights, tension, and uncomfortableness can be fun to watch. Drama is fun to watch.
With just Ant and Jim, we wouldn't have had as much of that, I don't think. Yeah, it would still be funny, obviously, and they'd certainly be happier but, I don't know if it would've been more entertaining (which is vastly more important to me than their happiness).

Honestly don't get you guys. It seems like you HAVE to hate someone. With Opie it was obvious to anyone that he was out of his depth amongst naturally funny people but it's not obvious with Sam at all. The criticism I've heard from his haters is that he likes wrestling too much and they don't like his voice. It's a bit weak guys. I could write a fucking essay on Opies flaws but comparing him to Sam is absolutely demented.
I'll admit I would prefer an Anthony and Jimmy show but have never had a problem with Sam, the guy worked an unpaid internship for years, whenever he was on air in that time he wasn't anywhere near as annoying as Opie.
Plus with the level of freedom Anthony has with his own business I really can't see him taking a job with the company that fired him. Maybe they could get him 2-3 times a week as a freelance thing but you guys may be flogging a dead horse

I like Sam, ideally the show would be him, Jim, Ant plus whatever guest now and then. I find him funny and more up-to-date with what's going on these days, and I think he knows his strengths and weaknesses, so he can carry interviews by himself or with others, and he can let others be funny and not get jealous.
When did they join up? I canceled my Anthony Cumia subscription bc it wasn't as good to me but this is what I've been waiting for a Jimmy and Anthony

I used to dislike opie as much as the next guy and for good reasons, but his new podcast is actually surprisingly good, that chef carl guy is interesting and funny, and sharrod, well he's alright, not really my cup of tea, but not bad, opie has great insightful conversations with these guys, where u find out new stuff all the time... ant's show(s) are nothing really spectacular at all, he is still very entertaining and funny on his own but his channel or whatever u call it is just him and a bunch of buddies chit chatting about nothing with no direction and jumping from topic to topic and a bunch of inside jokes that alot of people don't get, it's too buddy buddy, it's really "local" rather than universal in its appeal, I mean unless ur a pest from day one then u won't get what they're talking about and won't care about all the inside jokes from all his no named guests, and the stunts are bush league and childish, I mean keith pulling the chair out from naked cowgirl? real nice, real classy guys... and jim and sam? ugh that shit show is not even on my radar, I have a good mind to call in and ramone their untalented, unfunny bitch asses... that is all
