This episode NEVER gets old for me.
How about now
Me neither, brother. Linger longer.
@Psilocybin not for me, chief.
Same! The elvis stories are just so interesting
How about now?
every once in a while opie really sets up a winner this is a great segment
Yeah another bit he created that nobody liked was jocktober. Yeah clueless radio hack alright. Never leave comments on ona videos again, child
even a broken clock is right twice a day tsst tsst
He can run a radio show just not a podcast.
he also had no idea how or why it was funny, he was bored
Key phrase here, "sets up".
Not, "was funny in this bit" lol
Cliff was slick.
Well, you know Cliff.
He was good as far as that goes.
He's slick, that Cliff.
That was the longest journey to get to a three word point.
I shouldn’t be laughing at “he burned an infant alive for $1.50”….but here I am
"And Elvis laughed!" - classic
I stayed in a hotel room 70 years after elvis this show fucking needs my story
***** Hole.

“F**king Cliff” 😂
‘I didn’t even know there was drums in Elvis songs’ 🤣
God damn I wish Jimmy called into Elvis Radio and Ramoned them lol
NikoLetsGoBowling That would be amaxing
Excuse me one second 'ere we have a call comin' in from... S T E V E FROM YELLOWSTONE
Raaaamooone, bring me my qualudes
RRRRRAAAAAMMMMOOOOOOONNNNEEEEE!!! Get me the gabagool!!!
"Who's Bocker?" Jimmy... I swear this had me on crying.
This seemingly throwaway Clip, made me laugh harder than any clip I’ve heard in a long time.
And how hard dopie tried to stomp it out ...if it was up to him holy shit
@@joeytrimble1558 Opie's the one who brought it to the show you moron.
Opie “since I was 18” did show how amazing he is in this clip. Tss tss.
@SlowMoRob These idiots go out of their way to bash Opie whether he does something or not.
@@joeytrimble1558 Haha wow you're way off on this one. Was literally because of him that this whole thing happened.
I've listened to this for like 6 times now and I never, ever gets old. I feel sad for anyone who doesn't have O&A in their life
20:40 had me dying for some reason. Opie just speculating they might as well give up.
Also, I love the “OOOOHHHHH” anytime Erock would fire back even the mildest barb towards anyone.
I realized that I spent countless hours listening to this show with all the guests and comedians, but I glossed over the actual show for years. It’s weird because here Anthony and Opie don’t seem to hate each other so much and they seem personable.
I recommend every fan to listen to O&A full shows, you can find almost every O&A "episode" from 2004-2014 here on RUclips. If you only listen to compilations, isolated segments and comedian/ guest appearances you're probably missing out on hundreds of hours of this show.
The Elvis radio host reminds me of Scorch with his laughter after every nothing joke/comment
33:39 "Yeah he had Liberace's original piano seat. It's a coat rack."
Looool
Jimmy's line about the colonel burning the infant had me crying on the floor laughing for at least five minutes
The ass to mouth reference was great too
@The Waco Kid I've had a few moments in my life but they were you had to be there moments
And Elvis laughed...
@The Waco Kid I can’t say I’ve gotten there but Jimmy has made me laugh harder than anyone ever has when he told a story about how when he was at camp as a kid and all the other kids decided to pretend they were dead when the camp counselor walked in. I laughed for like atleast three full minutes just saying “it’s so stupid” to no one.
The one before about the pb&j sandwich and fucking the girl in the ass had me crying on this packed bus.
I guess you know you made it when half a century later people dedicate a show to making up stories about you.
You know you’ve made it when some random dipshit you went to middle school with dedicates his life to you
This would be the highlight of a "Best of Opie" video. Opie actually earning his $ on this one.
STEERING
THE

anthony talking and suddenly doing the elvis mumble is so fucking funny to me
I could listen to Elvis Radio or Elvis Radio via Opie & Anthony all day.
Ditto...I could listen all day ev day
Jimmy is killing it...right out of the park
Well, ya know how the Colonel was...
37:45 "I once watched him burn an infant alive for $1.50. There was a baby and someone said, 'I'll give you a dollar fifty to burn that baby alive'. And he did it. And Elvis laughed."
That’s amazing
Well you know the Colonel...
He was good. As far as that goes.
@@2legitmatt that’s my favorite part because I have no idea who that is and they kept saying it lmaoooo
DJ Fontana played with Elvis for 15 years and only left over pay dispute with the Colonel. He drummed for Jeff Beck and Dolly Parton. He was legit.
He’s also monumentally dull to boot
Dj drummed for Elvis for over 14 years on the majority of his hits
Yeah but Cliff was slick.
Tommy Steward - you know the Colonel
Tommy Steward 😂
That's amazin.
DJ wasn't with Elvis for fourteen years. Not even close to that. He was on many hits, but Elvis dropped the original band after he got out of the army in 1960.
This reminds me a of that old mad tv skit with will sasso playing Elvis in the limo telling meandering stories to his two yes men.
"It was a bad Dick Nixon lobster!"
You ever seen a real interview with Elvis? Even in his young days he was a bore
This is gut busting funny...Jimmy with the accent..."whacha doing there boy "lolll
Ok to be fair Opie made me laugh with “I got Botox on my face” in the Scott Shannon voice
These are the worst stories I've ever heard and I can't stop listening
I'm from the panhandle and every texas-y old guy is exactly like this; the non-jokes the long windedness, its horrifying.
through all the benign story telling i expected Tommy Wiseau to chime in with a "haha what a story mark"
Best radio show ever, love these old clips.
This guy sounds like he did a few blasts before going on air.
I totally get why the radio guys are laughing because it is totally funny listening to them go on and on. But what these radio guys don’t understand is that Elvis never ever hung out with Hollywood types. These guys were all dirt poor normal kids from Elvis’ hometown of Tupelo Mississippi. Their best friend was Elvis, the biggest star in the world. Elvis took all his neighborhood friends with him to the top. All these guys came from nothing so every little detail was so awesome and memorable to them. It’s all they got.
Way to make a dull point duller. Elvis grew up in Memphis btw
@@Buckets50 born in tupelo
@@deebaca3618 considering all the guys from the Elvis channel are from Memphis I’m making the point that the original commenter is talking out of his ass and pretending to be an authority on Elvis.
@@Buckets50 what do you disagree with his original point
RIP George Klein.
I’m glad
@34:05: "golly, man." - boomhower
This is just talking to old people...
1:00:30 Jimmy and Ant with back to back homers.
This is one of those rare episodes where everyone in the room was firing on all cylinders. Tremendous.
Opie is in peak form here. It's not that he isn't funny, just that he's only funny in select circumstances. When he's being a bully, and when he has that frat boy pseudo-confidence, when he's in his groove, he can truly refer to himself as "The Destroyer". He is really on fire in this segment. If this was Opie every day, fans would be begging for a reunion right down to this very second.
I made the terrible mistake of taking a big gulp of water at 37:45. When Jimmy talked about the Colonel and the infant I lost my shit.
The 'aliiiiiive' is perfect.
1:04:10 i don't know why this bugs me so much. i don't believe a word of it. "George, we lost him! you lost your best friend!"
right. the father of Elvis said that to you directly. bunch of bs.
O&A with Jimmy, greatest show ever! This makes me laugh every time. They could breakdown garbage radio, and make it great. Funny stuff..
Apparently you can tell any story you want on that channel as long as you mention Elvis and The Colonel occasionally.
I wish they discovered this channel back in the pests hay day.
This is a shame because there are tons of true fascinating Elvis stories. In 1966 I saw Elvis walking in downtown Nashville. A pregnant homeless woman asked him for a dollar. Elvis got out his checkbook and wrote her a $10,000 check. But the Colonel wouldn't let him give it to her, you know how he is.
That's amazing
@@achmedlolol Hand to God, true story. I was wearin a brown shirt in those days. I yelled at Elvis because he was also wearin a brown shirt. I yelled "brown shirt buddies!" Elvis was gonna smile and wave back at me and buy me some brand new boots, but the Colonel put the kibosh on that. There was nothing the King wouldn't do for you.
@@monsterreign whos the colonel?
@@ThaSentient1he was the one from Boogie nights.....
The Liberace coat rack joke hit me at the wrong time and i almost choked on my soda.
Ill give opie credit, he set this whole bit up and was pretty good in it
My mom heard an Elvis song once, I've gotta tell the Elvis channel my story!
Opie’s career died just like Elvis: on a toilet
I hate that I immediately recognized the Viva Elvis rendition of "Blue Suede Shoes" that Opie was referring to at 4:43 based on _nothing_ but his description of it
Man you just alleviated a massive headache for me. I keep coming back to this segment and it always bugged me that they couldn't find it.
I'm literally crying from laughter right now.
They should listen when the Elvis channel interviewed Elvis’s hairdresser/ spiritual advisor
I love how much affection he still has for elvis ...he seems to have been the rare breed that actually cared about elvis
What a fucking easy job just listening to made up Elvis stories.
@@barahng but they’re hilarious
This is by far my favorite o&a clip, skip to 6:23 to skip to the good stuff
I have a good story for the Elvis channel. This one time the Coronel took 16 quaaludes in a row and at the top of his high he was convinced everybody around him was a Christmas decoration, so he got on the phone and called in five Filipino kids and well.. I don't have to tell you how the story ends do I? We all know the Coronel, once he got like that you knew you were going to find a bunch of little brown toes all over the floor.
And oh man, the Anthony stories I could tell ya. One day we were hanging out at this bar and I told him: Anthony, it don't matter what she says, you saw her coming out of that high school. You know she's not 19... But you know Anthony, good ol' Anthony.
And this other time, he met this lady and her last name was Lightning and that's when I told him: I don't know about this girl Anthony, there's something about her... something don't click right. Next thing you know she's taking selfies in his bathroom and leaving the toilet seat up.
😂
For some reason I read this in the voice of Sleeves.
You really got the humorlessness of the Elvis channel down
“It’s like having Tchaikovsky’s first.....” No....no it isn’t.
Damn Ant's line about erock and colonel sanders was hilarious. He is one of the quickest minds in comedy no doubt
Was, maybe. He’s a sad old man now.
I imagine every other channel had access to other stations content, but OnA were banned for jocktober reasons
You imagine wrong
@@cjr1881 prove it
These stories are still better than anything Jim and Sam have done.
I still think Jim and Sam is a huge improvement over the dreadful Opie Show that we had to deal with
I don't think they're knocking Elvis. They're knocking the channel interviews. Elvis was fantastic.
what was so fantastic about him
what?
i green @
@@lithium23 his dancing sucked and dressed cheesy but u gotta listen to suspicious minds, or unchained melody live and you’ll get why he’s the king
@@chipsoprano9737 He didn't write a single song, he was a performer. He seemed to be the Eminem of his generation but without any of the songwriting. Some of the songs he sings are good (a surprisingly few amount) My favorite ones by him are the early early stuff which were largely covers, also because his voice was better during the pre 60s years.
He was a heartthrob who was influenced by blues early. He just introduced that culture to the mainstream in a pretty heartthrob package. it was fitting for him to go into the movies as early as he did.
I’m surprised people still say Elvis created rock and roll. He’s not even the first white guy to play rock let alone black guy. Being the most successful doesn’t mean you created it
But he did invent deep fried peanut butter, banana and bacon sandwiches with maple syrup and an RC cola on the side. 👍
I wonder if they accept Elvis impersonator stories
If they did they would have a lot of stories, there was an elvis impersonator accused of trying to kill Obama recently lmao
Dunno if you've ever seen Bubba Ho-Tep but Bruce Campbell played the King in it. If only he was privy to this radio station...
Jim norton is a golden god
He's a special boy
Reddit is gay
Kevin Whatley McChipperson fewuuuck yyeeeaahhh
and pays good money for it too
Jimmy is Lord
Anyone else click on this hoping they were jocktobering that elvis morning zoo show
I've started animating these brilliantly pointless stories if anyone is interested!
Yuh get that phone fixed? Whudyuh mea mah?
Cliff was slick
lol, these guys can be lame, yet i still play this and stern everynight...
Howard’s show is significantly lamer but I also listen to both everynight
Jimmy breaking down GK or DJ - whatever the fuck his name is - has me in tears on the bus.
OK I lost it when they realized they had their own Erock
This is gold
10:21 Well you know the colonel. HAHAHAHA
After the Elfish/Fez saga, I completely understand the audience for this station.
OMG! There is NO point to any of these stories!?!?
Marty McFly invented rock n roll
Thats amazing
Fuck, Anthony was shit canned not to long after this.
opie was tolerable in this
Things brigs back good times. I had to go to Memphis for a month for job training. So of course I had to go to Graceland. Its a mansion surrounded by ghettos for miles. Nothing but scary thugs and people talking like this about Elvis. All and all I'd still go back strangely...and I'm not even a huge Elvis fun.
22:20 I larffed very loud at my work.
I wish Opie would have riffed about fog longer...
This shit is a classic funny asf
I have a story about Elvis and a toilet, it didn't end well for both.
Elvis was a performer, not an artist.
I love Denis and Erocks chemistry
36:28 - I just really want the more revealing stories of Elvis too! These stories are so bland, they’re just not interesting on Elvis Radio.
That's amazin'
Starting at 36:50 had me in tears. I love Jim
39:38 😂😂😂
The last story was actually pretty interesting and of course dOpie the professional radio man and board operator completely trashes it.
All this talk of the Colonel and not one Boogie Nights reference :(
Damn shame.
Hush hush, keep it down now, voices carry...
Umm, Tchaikovsky did NOT play the violin.
Opie obviously sucks but atleast he brought one good segment to the show
Yep. Just one. This is the only good thing he ever brought. 🙄 you guys say some retarded shit for the sake of dumping on Opie, and sound like fools.
50:36 for the "Ahem-bocker Hotel"
3.20 that master po impression about the mixtape hahahahahahaha
and now in 2018 the Elvis channel is making fun of opie radio...
That drummer is pretty fuckin good.
Early 70's when Elvis played Vegas... his drummer had that heavy metal sound ..
Elvis sure had a lot of hangers-on.
Deadbeats.
50:35 Knickerbocker
Might be the last great bit on the show. Unless Lady Di internship was after this I forget.
You didn't enjoy "the apology clock"?
There were a lot of good bits in 2014 what are you talking about
@@Buckets50 do you have any you can name? I'll admit there is a good chance I just missed out on them.
@@yatheo2969 they talked about the movie ‘The Room’, A few Louie ck appearances, the lady Di internship was in march of 2014, the third supershow, They trashed The Todd show, they found out lady Di smokes crack, A Bobby Lee appearance with Ron Bennington. That’s just what I can think of off the top of my head I’m sure there’s a lot more. Most of the best lady Di stuff is from late 2013 through 2014
Despite what Opie has said the show was as strong as it had ever been. I guess behind the scenes was a shit show tho
@@Buckets50 Fawk my conception of time must be bad. Forgot about those bits being after it *sniff*
