Yeah this is how you destroy morale and ensure your staff hand in bad work, what's the point in effort if your boss doesn't recognize it? No wonder the show was losing listeners and syndications in its last 3 years, it peaked in 09-11 and went downhill dramatically until the end, that's why sirius were prepared to lose the show when they fired Anthony, btw he was pure cringe throughout this, the fella has no backbone he just sits their stroking opies ego. That's why his ex wife took him to the cleaners, he was too scared to go to court and literally cried to the judge that he couldn't do it soon as he took the stand.

I hate to defend the Opester here but what he did is his deal. He had fuck you money so he paid Club Soda to drive him. That’s his prerogative. That doesn’t change the fact that Erock was habitually late to work.

Ant and Jim can at least be funny and make their point about how youths don't have the same work ethic (which I don't actually agree with). I usually try and defend Opie, but clips like this make it hard to do that.

Opie may literally be the luckiest guy in the world, Ant made him a multi-millionaire and all he does is shit on people in that condescending, bitchy tone. Opie proved it himself after getting fired that he provides absolutely no entertainment value whatsoever. Looking into his YT channel is unbelievable, a millionaire former radio jock, with a free channel and supposedly 100K+ subs, and his videos only average a couple hundred views a piece... and hes still making them.

I had work ethic very similar to Erock's and it always caused me trouble. He's been reprimanded about it at least 3 times in front of the mic and several other off mic I'm sure. People shit on Sam a lot, but he was on point and he's always commended on his work ethic. I'm really taking a liking to what he has to say.
And yes, Erock is lying through his teeth. He wanted to cover his ass and Sal isn't much better.

Opie is un-listenable now. When Ant and Jimmy get mad about stuff it's funny. When Opie does it's usually something he's wrong about, or over some asinine pronouncement he makes. His whole "jaded radio guy shtick" got old years ago and is just annoying now. Also you can generally tell that when he talks, Ant is just politely waiting for him to finish so he can carry on making actual valid points that are entertaining to listen to.
Ant on the other hand seems to be happy these days.
