I kinda want to get this game even though I generally hate pvp. The thing of everyone is stuck with the same gear makes it more balanced. One major issue is camping, I have seen a video where a team would sit in a room and cover all the entrances the entire match (go to the same room every round). There is another game mode. So far I think there is just team deathmatch or whatever you want to call the game mode played in this video. Then there is like bomb where one side gets a bomb that they can plant anywhere on the map (or even have someone carry it around the whole time.... only issue it makes a beeping noise I believe and has a very bright red light that blinks). Looking at the roadmap of the game they plan on adding more maps (Q2), more weapons (Q3), character skins (Q3) and a zombies game mode (Q3) which I would love to play if it's pve oriented. Also they plan on more game modes (Q4), maps again (Q4) and photo mode (Q4). (Plus other stuff like improving performance and anti-cheat but I just left out anything not content related). (edit) I just remember there is at least two other maps currently in the game. One is just in the woods.... no real landmarks from the few times I saw gameplay on it. Also a house.
Well considering it's early access...yeah probably especially since they've been working on this since 2008 yeah probably I'm not putting in almost 20 years into something then giving up on it

as someone who has played the game via steam family share, I can confidently say that the game has INCREDIBLE graphics but really unoriginal gameplay. The gameplay is very similar to that of other generic fps games, maybe i don’t like this game because im tf2-pilled but I just do not like bodycam’s gameplay!
Game looks super scuffed even if it’s cool. I get it’s supposed to be realistic but getting shot from the darkness over and over doesn’t seem like that much fun. Drone mechanic after death is pretty sweet though.
Doesn't change the fact that it's not fun for many people having to hunt the whole building for a guy camping in a pitch black corner. It's just ez cheesing because you'd HAVE to use a flashlight to see them, which they'll see coming from miles away
i mean realistically a gun isn't going to be glued to your vision (what nearly every game does), it's likely a little odd at first but doesn't seem bad at all.
I loved this concept but feel it definitely was not suited as a multiplayer fps, a story game immersing itself as just watching a random soldiers body cam would have been fantastic and now that opportunity is seemly gone. What we got isn't terrible but I can't help but feel it pale in comparison to what could have been.
The game is fun, but i hope hyper realism doesnt become a trend in gaming especially when the setting is something as violent as this. We already see video game footage (like Arma 3) getting passed off as real life to be used for fake news stories all the time.
@@Dehzeyy yeah alot of people are claiming it's a rip off, although they seem like entirely different games. bodycam seems more PVP and unrecord seems like it'll be more of a ready or not kinda thing.

The graphics are amazing and all but that looks so awkward to play with the aiming and movement
That's what makes it good, awkward gameplay adds that friction.

There's Bodycam and Unrecord. Both are very similar in appearance and play style. I'm not sure if one is a ripoff of another.
This was obviously inspired by unrecord, but thus is multiplayer, unrecord is not.
