Glad you found this helpful! Though, this video is slightly outdated. This no longer takes quite as much setup if you have a PNG with a transparent background (still has to be in a square format). Now, with the current version of SP, you can just drag the PNG onto a fill layer into the base color slot. You can still use it as an anchor point to drive other channels/effects above.
