The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is a 1966 Italian Spaghetti western film directed by Sergio Leone, starring Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, and Eli Wallach
Hank Marvin recorded his version of the sound track for his 2000 CD "Marvin at the Movies"
This is my 12th upload from this album - I'm hoping to record them all eventually.

Unfortunately this has now been sold out and no further presses will be made.
Recorded using my Alan Brason Strat with Kinman FV-HMS pickups. Alesis quadraverb Q2 programmed with echoes from the past (EFTP) patch 0-36.
Some Tremolo added afterwards in Cubase

This is, without doubt, the best rendition of this song I have ever heard! I am a big fan of Surf / Cowboy music. I think that The Good The Bad and The Ugly is the quintessential instrumental of this style of music. In my honest opinion, Phil has totally mastered this genre. His technique is as close to flawless as humanly possible. I am particularly impressed with how to uses the tremolo bar. It is constantly in his hand as he plays, and he knows how to apply it with the utmost delicate finesse. I have listened to many accomplished guitarist in my lifetime. Few have impressed me as much as Phil. I can only wish that I had a fraction of his skill. Appreciate this man while we still have him around. He is truly a brilliant student of the guitar!

Agree completely. While the piece is not technically challenging, it takes decades of experience to get all the nuances just right. I envy this man's talent.
I want you to know that you inspire me. I am almost 65 and started learning to play a music instrument a year which was the ukulele and now brave enough to try guitar last January despite the fact that I have severe arthritis and neuropathy. I have waited since I was 8 years old to finally have the chance to learn to play music and being handicap is not going to stop me. I waited to long to finally have the time to do this and it is your channel that I go to for what I want to learn next, thank you.

Its a 'tragedy' that this Marvin MasterTrax backing track series is no longer available, because I would have joined many others in jumping all over that one! Shoots, I'm still working' on the Theme to Shane! Haaaa!

This theme seems like it would be fun to play. I grew up seeing a lot of these Clint Eastwood westerns and remember this one well mostly because of the music. Well done.
