Growing up in the South with beagles I always lose it over them. 1 part nose, 1 part stomach, 1 part howl, 1 part heart = Beagle. They aren't the smartest dogs but they are sweethearts.

My wife is now angry at me for waking the baby while laughing out loud at that line.
Definitely reminds me of my own terrified dog.
That was my favorite part, too! My dog slipped once on hardwood steps and is now permanently afraid of going down them.

If you looked closely, the beagle was actually a girl. Her name is Flute IRL. She is a gorgeous, well behaved, and well trained show dog.

As someone who has raised two neurotic dogs and have a friend that runs a special needs animal shelter, I can't stop laughing. I actually had a dog that was TERRIFIED of smooth floors and car rides. This needs to be a real show, every week people call in with their insane pet stories!!

When my shih tzu was a puppy she was terrified of rubber bands. Specifically, rubber bands being strummed. She also hated pooping so much she would *literally* try to climb up walls to get away from her own urge to poop. She's better now... Still weird, but love her silly self to pieces 💕

Throughout this entire sketch I could only visualize my former neighbor's dog, who was so afraid of loud noises that she would start screaming and sprint directly into the nearest wall as fast as possible to get away from it
I was thinking of Walter White Jr. a big white English bulldog whose on Insta. Lives on the UES & likes barking at the step ladder & gate in his apt.
Watching them all try not to cuddle the puppies is probably the best part of this skit
The beagle was the best performer of this sketch.

The "Buffalo chicken bones from the sidewalk" really hit home for me 🤣🤣
My dog always finds something “good” near our dumpster… thankfully never bones. She slurped up frozen coffee somebody dumped on the snow the other day! Who knew dogs like coffee?
A lifetime supply! 🤣🤣🤣 the bathroom garbage 🗑! I died. A former roommate of mine had a dog that would pull dirty underwear and sanitary items out of the bathroom. She would only do it if we had a guest over, of course. Like a gift! The best was when my roommate had a guy pick her up for a first date and her 🐕 brought a vibrator out to show him. She left her drawer open just enough so the dog could open it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I will never ever let her live that down. Animals are the best and the worst!
My brain is morphing Willem Dafoe's dog-commentator with Fred Willard's from Best in Show, and it feels like there's hours more ad-lib footage to shoot...
I want rehearsal/outtakes from this episode--Dafoe nailed every sketch with both impeccable skill AND joie de vivre!
Oh god...if they ever want to do more "Fred Willard style" dog shows, he would be a perfect heir to that kind of character. RIP to an absolute legend!

I laughed too hard at this probably because I have a new puppy and she was barking at my husband’s hat the other day. It was on the floor-so that’s too weird for her 🤣
I caught my puppy barking at a pop can someone left outside for ten minutes - they're so cute 😂. She's also obsessed with her shadow and sees herself in the window at night to the point she freaks out and wants to go outside and bark at the strange dog.
My dog is older and wiser now, but one time he was going crazy barking at something - it was a watermelon in our pantry!
I could not make it through this sketch without crying real tears of laughter. I fostered a special needs dog who covered my apartment in poop three times in the first 24 hours and then didn’t poop for a week, while I washed his sanitary area every day cause his scrotum was infected, and he tried to tear down every tree with his teeth.
I loved that damn fucking dog.
The fact william was the one to say "If you've got it, flaunt it" when we all know full well the dude has a fire hose. Hahaha, what a legend.

We totally have your back, Melissa!! The comments passed the vibe check, so so happy to see people be kind to others when they see them struggle. I don't know, but I don't think people would be so supportive a few years ago. ETA: About people comparing her to Leslie, I don't think that's fair or appropriate but my sincere advice to Melissa would be that she could learn from Leslie not being so hard on herself when she fumbles lines and try to adopt a similar carefree attitude, no pressure, just humor
As much as I love the fact that the comments have her back it's sad that people are pitying her against Leslie and downgrading Leslie too, both are amazing
@@priyachoudhary9896 that's true, I don't think they should be compared, but I do think there's something Melissa could learn from Leslie in the way that she reacts to fumbling lines, which is that she doesn't seem too hard on herself, she just rolls with it & you're still able to laugh without being too concerned for her, it doesn't distract you from the comedy. I don't think Melissa should be hard on herself by any means because there's no reason to be though that can be easier said than done and I don't want to trivialize that, I'm just advising that she works on keeping a light-hearted comedic attitude even when she fumbles because it would make a positive difference for her and the audience

"my life is hell and I miss my friends" was actually ad-libbed by Melissa and was her honest reaction after fucking up her lines
And, considering that season 47 (where this episode is from) was Melissa Villasenor's last season, that probably was how she felt about being on the show. Which is a shame, because when she was on "America's Got Talent", she dreamed of being on the show. Guess it didn't work out for her no matter how hard she tried and how much the home audience wanted her to become a breakout star.

I love this sketch for how it makes us use our imagination. We never see pidgeon tripping the lady, or blueberry becoming insane after sliding on a floor, or Luna screaming at her owners boyfriend, but the way we picture these things in our head makes them that much funnier.
This is almost that Best in Show sequel.. the fact that all these doggos looked completely hugable made it that much funnier.

I think Cecily loves dogs too much to insult them like that. But we'll never know because she's not on the show (she didn't leave; she's just doing Off-Broadway until February).

They picked the wrong dog for the mean dog group. Melissa flubbed her lines a bit. It happens. I love Melissa.
I think I had a badminster dog! Her favorite hobbies included barking at cats and fleeing in terror from cats. She also enjoyed ruining carpets and wandering off.
My dog judges the door with her nose til she locks herself in the bathroom. She's always so proud of the fact that she can move the door, she wags her tail, and then she realizes what she's done.
I like how Willem Dafoe went for all of these sketches so hard…

A neighbor on my block has a dog just like Blueberry. Everytime I see her “walking” the dog, she’s carrying it in her arms with the leach attached. I always smile & remind her how well the dog has her trained.
In think it was Jerry Seinfeld that said, "If aliens came to earth they would think dogs run the planet as the humans follow them around and bag up their sh*t."
I kinda wish Keenan and Bowen's dog from that Christmas card sketch made an appearance.
That was a nasty animatronic puppet, not a real dog.

I love how while they're describing how mean Pigeon is he's being the exact opposite. My favorite is when the owner says how he wishes he could go back to when the dog was sweet, all while the dog is interrupting him trying to kiss him 😂
I had a Gizmo, he lived to be 19 and he was the best worst thing in my whole life. I miss him daily. He needed medicine 4x a day for the last year of his life, and went through phases where I had to fix his wiener with lube 5-10 a day for weeks on end. I relate so hard to the owner

I actually loved how accurate the medical issues were. Like I worked at an emergency vet for years and I’ve seen many cases of paraphomosis (weird dog penis that won’t go back in without a vet manually doing it)
As a veterinarian, goddamn this was on point.
