    I like how every video I've watched on this delete process says to put that bottom plate back on because there's a brake line attached to it 🤨 it's the same as a brake line but it's actually for your clutch!

    The easiest way to get to the front EGR nuts is to remove the battery 👍

    My suggestion for a cleaner resistor installation would be to get the other end of the PAIR valve electrical plug (off the removed hardware) cut the wires short and solder the resistor into the circuit and cover it in heat shrink or something, and just plug that in.

    Does it cause any issues.
    Why is it there is the first place?

  • @TheWeirdSide1
    @TheWeirdSide1 5 дней назад

    #6 cylinder is supposedly prone to overheating which leads to head gasket leak, because single exhaust manifolds or whatever concentrate heat there.
    And the EGR system supposedly lowers operating temp(straight from the service manual).
    So obvious long term concern is in question.
    I've seen tons of delete videos and zero follow ups
    What's the word 3 years later?

    • @Leon1982db

      get them figured out ? when dealing with a lot of vacuum lines use multi-colored zip zies. one on the hose, and one where it goes. you can souble up for more color variations too. snip them for a clean look and just leave them on for future maintenance! 😎

    • @taterchipwheeling
      @taterchipwheeling  3 года назад

      That's the first thing I go over at the 17 second mark. You basically just take it and the bracket it sits in off with a 12mm, cap off the vacuum lines that went into it, and the put the 12mm bolt back in the engine so there isn't a whole.

      Check out 3.slow gang. That happened to them I believe and they welded it all shut with good results if I remember correctly. You can also probably weld a nut to the stud and extract it that way if you’re already going to be doing some welding.

    What if you just pull out the hoses and cap them off like you did, but leave the 3 valves in the engine bay which you have removed in the video but also cap the valve ports to just avoid getting block off plates ? Or do you think it won't work and just get the block off plates and remove all 3 valves. Lol my lazy ass trying to do the least amount of work possible 🤣 .... But man great video. It is clear and so understandable. But I mean $20 for the LC kit is not bad. But I just want to avoid taking those hard to reach bolts off lol 😂

    • @taterchipwheeling
      @taterchipwheeling  3 года назад +2

      I don't know for sure and don't want to miss lead you. I'd just get the kit. Removing everything gives you more space in your engine bay too which is nice. Makes doing your spark plugs much easier.
