Definitely prefer Arena drafts, regardless of whether they are Bo1 or Bo3, if only because the cards are so much easier to read.
But where is the lake destruction?
This is absurd, it's much harder to read cards on the arena 'slanty' board
On arena they're much easier to read during the draft, but less so during the game.

I really appreciate that you have been playing out some games that you're unlikely to win recently. The number of times I've seen your opponents make mistakes OR make a hyper conservative play that gives you a chance is much higher than you might realize.
That Birthing Ritual deck was sick as hell!

I think it's pretty funny that he opens a flip planeswalker in pack 3 and doesn't even mention it because he also got Writhing Chrysalis

MTGA is nice in newer formats where I don’t know the cards yet cause the mouse over feature is nice. But mtgo works when I know the cards like with cube

Yes, MTGA looks prettier and more streamlines, but thats exactly, what bothers me.
I really, really prefer to see all the cards in hand and on the battlefield fully, not the cropped version on MTGA.
Otherwise I would prefer arena, but I really like haveing information on the screen :)
For me personally, I like Arena much more from a viewer's perspective. The cards and their effects are much clearer and brighter, so it is easier to understand what is going on for the viewer. However, the general quality of gameplay and the fact that MTGO is always best of three makes it better from a gameplay perspective. Plus the opponents seem to be more competent on average.
You know, it’s not so much that the Eldrazi are too powerful per se, but the fact that so many of them have reach that really put them over the top. Traditionally these kinds of fatty decks are weak to fliers and might only have some dumb spider at 4 or something that you may not want to main deck or like one bigger costed fatty that also has reach.
i dont think the reach part is more powerful than the stun affect for example. i tend to aggree with your overall statement, but a spider thats weakly stated would be awful in this draft format.
@@lordmatz3435 the reach part isn’t the “powerful” part, it’s just what take Eldrazi over the top in this format. What I meant to say is that the effects that are powerful (like stun) usually don’t come with reach attached to it. It’s “free” reach that doesn’t cost you anything. Precisely what you said about a weakly statted spider not being good is exactly what I mean. Having reach in a big fatties deck usually “costs” a worse body. In this format, there are like 3 or 4 common Eldrazi that just have reach stapled on where the analogous cards in other draft formats wouldn’t have reach. In order to combat a fliers strategy, ramp strategies would have to make their deck worse. Eldrazi in MH3 has the best common by a mile (writhing chrysalis) and it has reach! You’re actively making your deck much better by including reach creatures. It’s crazy!

Definitely prefer MTGO, tracking your deck while you are drafting on the Arena client is so much harder for me since I am fully LSV organization brained.
I find MTGO so much easier to follow than Arena. It also doesn't have the obnoxious animations (though these seemed to have been toned down for more recent sets) and hand-smoothing.
I find skittering precursor to actually be quite good in the eldrazi decks due to the large amount of fetch lands I end up with 👍
I prefer MTGO because the card text is visible in your hand and on the battlefield. I don't know a lot of the newer cards. So, having that text available makes it much more engaging to watch.
One thing you could do to make MTGA a better experience is to spend more time clicking on the cards you are talking about to make the card pop up and the text appear.
Regardless, always love the content!
Invert polarity is nuts. Its won me a ton of games. Super underrated
I haven't worked up the courage to try and succeed at MH3. the more you post the better I feel so play on lol.

I prefer Arena when it's available on Arena. Obviously VCube isn't on Arena, but if a draft is available I'd prefer it tbh.

I prefer arena for MH3 drafts, it's a joy to watch and has a great visual design, MTGO's interface is just quite a few design generations behind the times. I really hope they renovate because it's been around way longer & more powerful.l & you actually get to own the cards in a way.
I definitely prefer best of 3, in whatever vessel it occurs! That said, my personal client of choice is MTGO

I like a mix of both. You can comeback against scrubs on Arena due to misplays and the cards are easier to view on my tiny laptop.
MTGO you get to play against other mutants and the interface is way better from the actual person playing's perspective. BO3 actually makes side boarding a thing which is awesome.
Chumping the gatekeeper when you could’ve killed it is such a skilled play that will be overlooked.

1:01:03 i'm 99% certain they meant to click the goblin because of mentor, they must've thought that they had to target. youc an see they pause after clicking, which indicates that they knew something went wrong
I vastly prefer MTGO videos to MTGA ones. With MTGO I watch the entire video but for the MTGA ones I almost always just watch the draft portion and then stop because I don't like how the games are presented on MTGA.

Nice draft LSV. I definitely prefer Arena as someone who has never played MTGO and has no interest in trying it. I may watch anyway but I think Arena is much more accessible and presentable for videos.

I really enjoy watching both. The Arena drafts are a nice break from the Vintage Cube drafts, which can get a little tiresome if that is all the content you do. Keep up the good work!!

i’m too old for arena. i don’t want to see only 45% of the battlefield so that some cat or dragon and all the cards i cast can fart confetti and fog across the screen for no reason.

@@dougisacat I'm sure they're being hyperbolic and that their general point is that they don't particularly like valuable screen real estate being wasted on pointless objects with pointless animations that add nothing (while eating RAM).
Gotta enjoy Eldrazi while we can. Wont be long before each table has 3+ Eldrazi drafters given how obscene the deck is.
I'd love to see more constructed videos!! I'll watch whatever you post, but I PREFER to watch:
1.) Vintage Cube
2.) Constructed on MtGO
3.) Anything on Arena
I'm pretty much the same. Basically: Vintage Cube > Any other format on MTGO >> Every Arena format except... >>> Chromatic Cube
another vote for arena over modo when the format allows it. personally i hugely prefer arena, to the point where i'll rarely watch a video if it's done on modo (cube excepted)
What about arena best of 3? Is that viable? Seems like the best of both worlds.
I think you should consider bumping Malevolent Rumble up your pick order. This is exactly the right deck for it and its overall GiH WR is 61%, 13th highest in the set.
I probably like a split of 70% arena and 30% mtgo. I like the high level matchups MTGO still offers
That poor Phelia play. I have made the same mistake of mixing up the Phelia and mentor triggers on Arena.
I just want to understand what kinda staged paid actor draft this is with a 7th pick Fleshraker. Ain't no way that's happening on arena with 5 Eldrazi drafters a pod
I prefer playing arena (especially since I got rid of my old busted laptop, and only have mobile now), because mtgo is too slow with crashing issues. I wish mtgo didn’t have those issues, and was on mobile, then I’d choose to play more mtgo. As far as watching goes, you edit out all the tech problems, so six of one, half dozen of the other. Doesn’t matter for watching.
What do you think of taking the sundering eruption p3p7 over the fourth warped tusker?
Mtgo drafts are much better for me because I can read the cards on the field anytime. On arena if I forget what a card does I just have to hope you hover over it
I often find Arena resolves stacks so quickly, there are times I have a hard time processing what all just happened. I'm also not a huge fan, as a spectator, that it doesn't have the full card for the cards in your hand - especially newer sets - because I don't know cards by name.
It's funny because the old clunky UI of MTGO is easier for me to watch, even for newer cards.
I do appreciate how large the hover-over is in Arena, and I don't find Arena awful, but I think I prefer the simplicity of MTGO for watching.
0:17 I always prefer Arena over MTGO just because I can't actually see any of the cards on MTGO. Can't read any of them. Much more enjoyable on Arena for sure.

Two Fleshrakers is nice. You'll win a lot of games without even attacking. Casting a tuskar with 2 Fleshrakers in play is 8 damage alone.
Mtgo > mtga. Sideboarding. You could elect for bo3 draft on arena, but even then i came for vintage cube drafts

Arena for sure. You can do bo3 on it, but people tend to be a coward and don't because they like the "hand smoothing."
I detest invert polarity's design. Flip a coin to decide win or loss. The antithesis of gaming. Let's just play War...or flip a coin and call it, except it costs money and takes up a decent chunk of time.
My friend have you noticed that you draw cards from a shuffled deck.
Except it's win or win-more. It's a counter spell with potential upside (except against global effects).

Vintage cube team drafts on MTGO, new formats on Arena
I strongly prefer vintage Cube as a format, which isn't in Arena. Otherwise it's not a huge deal. I slightly prefer Arena for gameplay and MtGO for the drafting (since you can see the cards in your deck and curve better).
I prefer MTGO since the skill level of who you face is generally higher.
MTGO always, every time.

honestly i just like arena better because cards are easier to read. i'm not into magic deep enough that i know what every card does, so legibility matters a lot. But I still watch mtgo videos and just google things if i really have to.
Arena is a lot more viewer friendly, especially for anyone newer to magic.
I genuinely find MTGO to be more viewer friendly.

It does seem mad that even most on colour rares don't make the deck when you build an Eldrazi deck. The ridiculous 8/4 that gains you life should so be a rare.

Arena for me, though I'd still prefer best of 3. Since I don't play MTGO myself, it's often difficult for me to follow what's happening with the stack and targets and whatnot.

I only watch arena videos
i wouldnt take this series of games as a good sample size for idol of the false gods. its much better when you run into decks removing your shit and even in that last game you were saing its weak look at how synergistic with Razor and Chyrstalis it is (those 2 with the stun counter eldrazi being some of the betters) it just enables so much bullshit. obv there are spots where you just want a mana dork but its better then a mana dork often as well.
Idol is terrible in a large percentage of games. I wouldn’t play it unless it was a sideboard game against a really removal heavy deck and even then I’d probably just want another threat.
