This deck is extremely strong. Got me from platinum into mythic in 2 evenings casual play. The biggest downside is at diamond 1 90 % of matcher are mirror.

i may be incorrect, but feel free to correct me if i am wrong. when amped raptor spins into a creature and says you can pay energy instead of paying its mana cost, it still gets countered by chalice because the spell doesnt change mana value?

The curves, the synergies, the ramp/removal/card advantage ratio are always on the bullseye. My ten year old nephew just got into Magic and he's in love with my Chatterfang commander deck. I was wondering if you have considered making one for brawl? I built him one on Arena, but I'd love to see your take on it. Keep up the good work! :)
mtg is such a silly game why am i even playing this shit? u play a deck brew with new cards and have fun, u ladder up. until everyone finds out about the deck u brewed (or a similar list) and u end up playing mirror all the time. with a deck like this it just comes down to who may begin and good draws. IT SUCKS
Played against this deck 6 times in the past 2 days. My green devotion deck with an Eldrazi twist containing Archdruid's Charm digging for Ulamog or Emrakul with Surrak and Goreclaw then playing them on turn 4 or 5 seems to do the trick since card draw isn't a problem with Kiora, Outcaster Trailblazer and Vaultborn Tyrant
Uhhh just off topic of the video, does anyone else's Arena client just crash in the middle of a game... like frequently? It's like I disconnect but my connection is totally fine. Then I have to pretty much alt + f4 and restart, but when I do that I timeout and it's really stressful :( like it happens every 5-10 mins or so. I just started using the client again recently for the first time in a while and it didn't do this before...
All the more impressive given that this is fair Magic, whereas Winota + Agent of Treachery was cheating incarnate. (To the extent that a 1/1 with 2 keywords + Ascend + token machine for one White mana can be called "fair".)
Soul warden is one of the most toxic cards in magic. It just triggers too many times, the triggers get out of control. I refuse to play it. I'll stay in diamond or platinum. 😂
All these new 2 mana planeswalker are pretty overpowered and dumb, but Ajani sure is the dumbest of them all. Has the power and benefits of about there cards for 2 mana- yeah great crad design :/
this deck is the reason why i play 4 Brotherhood's end in deck. And often 1 is not enough. I hate when WotC create 1drops you must answer immediatly or you have no chance.
@@LegenVD I have a green white agro deck that essentially uses ornery tumblewag, botanical brawler, conclave mentor, Kami of whispered hopes and dusk legion duelist for card pull. Think you could put something together to take this to the next level? I have a vorinclex in there and the ajani that does scry
@@Catalyst512 You're better off trying to make such a deck work in Standard (minus Conclave Mentor). The powerlevel in Historic is too high for a deck like that to be competitive. Innkeeper's Talent is a great new tool for +1/+1 counter decks.

This is the highest winrate list among the ones tracked by Untapped with a relevant sample size. There are variants replacing Amulets for Pridemates which perform about the same. But feel free to share your list that's supposedly far better.

Blessed is better because evasive threat, but if you dont want to burn the wildcards, pridemate works and has some synergy as you noticed!

Yeah I think because it doesn’t change the card’s mana value just how you pay it, it still gets countered
If I’m reading you right, yea you are correct. A spell’s mana value doesn’t change regardless of what you actually pay to cast it

Ocelot Pride is power creep asf. W for 1/1 first strike lifelink is already good, but add word vomit that is actually good makes it more insane

I would get rid of Lurrus to not give information to the opponent and play abiding grace because of the artifact that counter 1 drops
Chalice isn't too widespread and I wouldn't want to give up the free value that Lurrus provides.

I found swapping 2x Soul Warden for Esper Sentinels, it helped vs mirrors and some combo decks.
This dude's voice instantly triggers "hokay, so, here is the earth, gee, that is a nice earth you might say, round, whatever"
