The flare leg is probably my best look, but the length and heel height is so absolutely critical that I tend to lean more toward a skinny or crop. Also, I learned that for travel one can't beat "skinny". Makes potty stops in less than pristine conditions so much more bearable.
I was happy to see the poncho idea. I have a question though. How does one wear a poncho with a cross body bag? Or is a cross body bag simply wrong with a poncho? I can never seem to get a look that makes me happy with that combination.
Hahaha you are right... When that happen to me when I am wearing trouser kissing the floor...Before I open the restroom door already one hand is pulling up my trouser... to avoid touching the restroom floor.
I'm 5'10 and 115 lbs so I LOVE bootcut jeans because it allows me to look curvy! The Audrey bootcut jeans by BKE are my favorite. I get them from Buckle and I can choose the length to be extra long to go over my cowgirl boots 😊

I sewed in a flare into the seam of my jeans for Halloween for my Hippie costume at church and everyone loved it! I'm thinking about making a pair for my actual wardrobe. I love the way you styled these looks! I would wear any of these outfits! I remember when the straight legs were first coming into style in the early eighties and I swore I wouldn't be caught dead in them. LOL! I love them now of course but I would be excited to throw in some bells for fun! Thanks Erin!

Girl, I still have flare bottom jeans that I wore the FIRST time (in my lifetime) that they were in style. Lol! Just found a box in my attic with with at least 10 pair! They're slightly less flared than the ones you're showing, but they're definitely not boot cut or skinny. However, I'm with you...I'm kinda partial to skinny jeans. For now anyway. 😉💕

Finally found 100% cotton ones. This was a mission impossible. Took a lot of thrifting. Even the length was spot on. I was probably time-warped from the seventies, when they did not knew you could mess up denim fabric with elasthane.

I love my flared jeans! I was so sad when they kind of went away for awhile. Whenever i do break mine out i always get compliments. I’m short 5’1” and have a short torso, but i feel like the flares really accentuate my long legs since i have always worn mine this way - with high heels and covering my shoe so they touch the floor. My husband always jokes that i spend a lot on pretty shoes that I’m just covering up with my jeans 😂

Erin, looking lovely as always! Love these ideas. One concern though: if you keep the jeans to dust the floor with shoes on, then the issue is when you have the shoes/boots off at home, you look silly! Tripping constantly. What do you think?

Hi Erin, do the 7jeans have a higher rise? My experience with them are that they sit a bit lower on the waist but they look higher on you in the video.

White House Black Market used to make good flares. If anybody is going to look into it, they vanity size like crazy. Their denim is fantastic.

at 5'11" hourglass body....I love high waist wide leg jeans and pants but find I have to pair them with heels to get the best effect. Skinnies I pair with flats and boots and longer, oversized tops or sweaters to avoid feeling like a sausage in tight casing lol
Great video. I always wonder why no one ever mentions zipper length in getting a good fit with jeans. A shorter zipper is so much more flattering than a long one that may make one look bulky in an area most women do not want extra (ahem) fullness.

I love the look of flares - I just bought a pair of the 7 for all mankind dojo trouser jeans. Every time I wear them people stop and ask me where I bought them
I'm short and also live in a rural area where a ground grazing Jean is not practical. I buy cropped flares and wear with flat boots. The combo of my shortness with the flat heel makes them fall just below my ankle. Not as leg lengthening, but still stylish without getting the hems nasty and frayed.

Same length applies! Tailor them 1/2 to 3/4 length above the floor, with whatever shoes you plan to wear! xo

NY & Co. is an inexpensive alternative and they are kind to us "big girls" with constant bogo (buy one/get one) deals and sizes going up to 20.
I'm short and also live in a rural area where a ground grazing Jean is not practical. I buy cropped flares and wear with flat boots. The combo of my shortness with the flat heel makes them fall just below my ankle. Not as leg lengthening, but still stylish without getting the hems nasty and frayed.
