So funny, I came on here searching how to replace dim lights on lawn inflatables, because the dim-lighting problem I’m having is with this exact same Walmart “Darling Daschund!” This is a great video; thank you for this!!
By far the BEST video I’ve seen (and I watched several) on how to replace the “non-replaceable” LED lights in Christmas inflatables!! Easy to follow and understand. Thank you so much!
Your video is the 3rd one I found and I watched the entire video! Clear instructions, video wasn't blurry and straight to the point. Now I feel confident trying this on my own :) Thanks so much!
Great video. I watched another one and I was like…I can’t do this!!! but then I watched your video made you made me feel like it’s very doable! Thank you! 😊
For waterproof connections, get heat shrink butt connectors. You'll crimp them on and then use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the sheathing. It will melt and shrink to seal up on the connection much better than electrical tape over wire nuts.
Yes, using heat shrink connectors is the best method. My goal was to use things most households already have. We get lots of rain and snow and I’ve never had electrical tape not work for that purpose. There are waterproof electrical tapes out there that can handle the conditions too. Maybe one day I’ll make another video using other methods🌱💚
Thanks a bunch for this! We have the exact same dog (although for some reason mine only had one light), bur it was completely out this year. Decided to try an fix it instead of buying a new one, and it was super easy, only took a few mins. Thanks again! Now I’m going to use the other lights to brighten up one of the dim reindeer also.
You’re welcome! Most small inflatables only have one light, so you’re able to fix so many with that light strand. I’m not sure how long the new lights last, but definitely way longer than the ones they come with. I’m glad you were able to fix yours easily!🌱💚
@@tammychaffin299 Under the title of the video look for a “more” button. When you click that it’ll show a paragraph and at the end of it it will say “more” again. Click that and it will show the full description. The link still works and the exact lights I used are already highlighted💚
Thank you so much!!! I know this post been a year but I am glad I found your video. So simple compared to other video I watched. I was worried about the wire. I saw some video like heating the wire up and stuff. Yours the best using the wire connection. I didnt know was a thing. Thank you!!! Now to get me the stuff.
Welcome! Never too late to find old videos. I watched other videos too and each person had their own methods. I also go in comment sections to see if people agree. If it’s wire related, you’ll get electrical experts pop up. You can learn a lot. As long as it’s safe in the end is all that matters. I’m glad my video helped!🌱💚🎄
Thank you!!! I just fixed 3 inflatables!! They are actually brighter than my newest but that's ok. I might do this to the new ones too because they are just that much more bright! Great tutorial! Every step was correct! & I like that you shared this just to be helpful, not to make money for the products! I would suggest to anyone to get some wire strippers-I already had them but it makes this so much easier. They are not that much money and are well worth it.
You’re welcome! That happened to me too, they are much brighter than even a brand new inflatable. I replaced all the lights just so they’d match lol. I’m so glad this helped you!🌱💚
Just found your video today after feeling bummed that my decorations weren't lighting up anymore and seeing the label say "LED NOT REPLACEABLE". Super clear ans and to the point! Thabks so much!!
I’m glad you found my video. That is odd that it says that. I’ll have to double check all our labels to see if any say that. Almost everything is replaceable though. What kind of inflatable is yours exactly?
@@marcimartinez247 Ours say “not replaceable” too. The best way I can understand what they mean is technically “the original lights” can’t simply be popped off and inserted with new ones, if that makes sense. But you can replace them if you know what to do! Hopefully that helps!🌱💚🎄
Thank you and thank you for the links!! Halloween decorations are about to go up! A couple lights fizzled out at the end of last year! Now how do we replace the fans!! Do they make replacements for those too!
@@amberhenderson4642 You’re very welcome! I believe I have an inflatable that has a fan that needs replaced or fixed. I’ll for sure make a tutorial when I fix it!🌱💚

I love the video! Thanks! The inflatable I’m trying to fix has one light and it only has two wires total going into it… I’m not sure if this light will still work? Does anybody know?
That is unnecessary with the wire strippers I used. The slots I put them in are complete circles, so when you close the wire strippers it cuts a complete circle. But do whatever you need to to strip the wire🌱💚🎄
It depends on your preference. If you like warmer tones, go with the 3000k, if you want brighter tones, go with the 6500k. Anything is brighter than what you’re replacing, you can’t go wrong lol💚
