    You are proof that I can learn almost anything on You Tube! Thanks so much. My much beloved Beauty and the Beast musical snow globe had a slow leak while in storage from a move. I wasn't able to get the rubber seal all the way out but I was able to clean and refill the globe. I'm going to get some caulk to make sure it is secure. This was a gift from my late husband in the early days of our marriage. It about broke my heart when I unpacked it and found a mess of fluid in the Rubbermaid container.

    Thank you so much for sharing this video! I just cleaned three of mine that were really yellow and I was considering throwing them out. This made them look new again.

    Wow! I did it. Great video. It took a couple of tries to make sure all the air was out. I kept getting a little air bubble at the top. One suggestion, actually two, just for me I put bubble wrap in the sink. I'm a total klutz 😂 also I took a hair dryer and loosened the glue on the music box part so it would pop out faster, i'm also impatient. Thank you so much for putting this out. I have an antiques and collectables store and when I do auctions I sometimes get big lots of items and there's always a globe in it. Now I can fix them with confidence instead of throwing them away. Much love and keep up the fun shows.

      I’m so glad the video helped! Bubble wrap and the hair dryer are awesome tips! I will try that next time I have to do it. I’m sure very vintage ones could be worth money one day, so it’s awesome if you could save them! Thank you for taking the time to comment! I hope you enjoy my videos🌱💚

    Excellent tutorial, thank you for this! I have a few snow globes that have that annoying bubble starting at the top of the water... Drives me nuts, thought it was something I had to just live with.

    Thank you! Now I'm confident on buying on line a couple snow globes from the 90s for my collection. They're cloudy but thanks to your video I'm actually more excited now because I will be able to restore them and give them new life! 😊

    Thank you I have a few snow globes that have gotten cloudy. I hated the idea of throwing them out . I just got one with a carousel horse inside and I don't like the horse so I'm going to paint it clear coat it and fill it back up. Thanks for this really nice video

    Add a bit of rubbing alcohol to keep it from getting gross. That’s what i do.

    Thanks for taking the time to demo this. I've got a different problem where I've unpacked a vintage globe musicbox packed away about 28 years ago. Figure, globe, base and music is perfect but liquid drained somehow. Really strange that theres no sign of water damage in the box, etc. Guessing could use your process except that I probably need a fresh stopper? Thanks!

      @cg6393 4 месяца назад +1

      Same with mine! Sealed but somehow empty...

    • @heartsoul1818
      @heartsoul1818 4 месяца назад

      @cg6393 Do you think we could use this process and just get a new stopper? Would be helpful if an expert would answer.

    • @crochetgardenrepeat
      @crochetgardenrepeat  4 месяца назад

      Water can evaporate, so your stopper should be fine. You can buy new stoppers too, but you’ll need to make sure it’s the right size for your snow globe. And you will need to carefully remove your decorations from the old stopper and attach them to the new stopper. All of that can be tricky. I hope this helps!🧶💚

    • @crochetgardenrepeat
      @crochetgardenrepeat  Месяц назад +2

      @@Penguin_Pretzels I’m so sorry. You can buy the rubber stoppers on Etsy. You’ll have to remove your decoration that is attached to your old stopper and glue it to the new one with E6000 or another waterproof glue. I hope this helps you save your snowglobe!🌱💚
