I'm stunned that you could get to 2023 without having heard of Morissette... You really need to hear her covers of "Never Enough" and "Rise Up" and, well, pretty much anything else she's ever sung.
Thank you so much for reacting to Morissette. Your reactions are always so "authentic" and intelligent. You are one of the BEST music reactors on YT! 👍👏
This is an iconic performance from Morissette because I believe you’ll never see this whistle register included in this song ever again in her future performances. Truly amazing voice!
@@tri4n On one of her videos she explained that she doesn’t want to be remembered for her whistle register. Also to keep a healthy voice for longevity so she can keep singing as long as she can.
Wait, was she SITTING for the entirety of that performance?? Holy crap... Every so often, an artist comes along that is so far above and beyond, it's almost super-human.
Im 50 and Morrisette has been blowing my mind for years! She really is the greatest vocalist I've ever heard and I'm Australian and have listened to the John Farehams and legends...
Nice one spotting the impressively long phrase (14 seconds) AFTER an equally impressive high note belt and runs. A lot of reactors and reviewers miss that. 💚👍🏽
Morrisette is simply the best female vocalist in the world. You can spends weeks on you tube going down the Morrisette rabbit hole and what a amazing journey it is to be had. I can't praise this amazing artist enough.
Yes! My fave part of this isnon the back end where she did one breath and the phrasing was about 17, 18 seconds???? She literally soared! Whistle note is impressive for sure but her soaring is just ridiculously good. ❤❤❤❤
Love your reaction! Welcome to Morisette’s world, our very own Asia’s Phoenix! She will melt your heart with her “Emotions”, she will lift you up in “Rise Up”, bring you to the skies and “Fly like A Bird”, but it’s “Never Enough”, “And I Am Telling You” a “Secret Love Song” will make you want more but will finally realize a “Resignation” and surrender to a talented and humble Morisette! New sub here!
Singing ur love cry, sweet anguish in squiel n whistle mixed with growling, belting legato n matching vibrato. Full control of vocal cord, mouth opening n sustained breathing
Morissette has a unique voice mix of grawling squecking whistle tone and bending much higher her voice in two step much higher so beautifully executed bravo amazing singer we have in these nation!
This was the gateway drug video that got me into RUclips. Superb (also led me to my ultimate rock band Band-Maid...my Fate to be a Maidiac). Morrissette's 'Rise Up' performance on the Bus is awesome too...especially given she wasn't 100% well...that extra rasp elevates the feels though!!!
I have been waiting for a while for you to revist Morisette, so happy to see her on the channel again. If you think you would like to hear more, her cover of Rise Up by Andre Day on the wish bus is one of her most iconic and popular performances. I would also recommend her video from the Asia song festival 2017 where she does "secret love song" and Maria Carey's "Emotions", and she does a great cover of Maria Carey's "fly like a bird" that I think you would really enjoy. There are loads of other great songs and performances by her, but these are the ones I think you would enjoy the most imho. Thanks again for taking the time check out Morisette and read the recommendations, I look forward to see more reactions from her and all the other great artists you break down.
Agreed! - Loving Elizabeth reacting to the fantastic Morisette! - 100% seconded on Fly Like a Bird (we both know that's gong to blow Elizabeth away at points! 😉), Morisette's stunning Wish Bus performances of Rise Up, Never Enough, and Secret Love Song, and I personally absolutely LOVE her version of "She Used To Be Mine"... I'd never heard of it prior to hearing Morisette's interpretation, and I've since listened to other singers' versions (even the originals), and hands-down prefer Morisette's version - not only her singing, which is absolutely beautiful as always, but her heart-rending, in-character performance just sells the song even more... ❤
Idky but whenever i saw people react from mori i always have this overwhelming feeling and im so proud of my girl because people recognized how talented she was i just hope she would get more recognition she deserves .More power to your channel maam thanks for doing this reaction video for mori❤
Wow! You did another Morisette performance ^^ I thought that this was an old video at first but then I saw that it was uploaded recently. Thank you for your hardwork!
I remember way back when I was still part of a choral group our conductress/trainer/vocal coach/teacher told us that... "When you sing it with your heart, and when you feel the song, then all the unusuals will come unimaginably out fascinating everybody up off their seats"...
What a wonderful vocalist and wonderful reaction! The Philippines are a WEALTH of untapped talent. Singing is a huge part of their culture. It is wonderful that you have such a broad and diverse audience! Speaking of broad audience, I think it would be really interesting for both you and your viewers if you gave Dan Vasc a listen, Specifically his rendition of Amazing Grace. Dan Vasc is the lead singer of a metal band from Brazil called "Fearless". His take on a 250 year old hymm will leave you both shocked and delighted. Thanks for your wonderful content. Cheers!
Such a great performance and I'm so glad you checked it out! Love your insights, every single time. You should definitely check out her do Defying Gravity from home during COVID-19 shutdowns.
Thank you for re-introducing Morissette to the world, patricularly to your subscribers and viewers who have not heard of her. 🥰 I hope you will continue to react to Morissette's other performances. There's a lot of these on RUclips from 2016 to present. The most recent ones include her "Bruno Mars Evolution Medley" on her channel, also her performances during David Foster's concert series in Manila of "Never Enough" and the "Bodyguard Medley (Whitney Houston)" (Day 1 and Day 2 respectively, please), also a Filipino viral hit song "Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw" on the Wish Bus. Thanks and looking forward to your reviews and analyses of these. 🥰
She sings in various genres of music, not only power ballads like this "Akin Ka Na Lang". I've read in some comments that even though this is not their "cup of tea" they are still impressed with her singing. That's a good thing to know. So in her other performances, which could be the music they prefer, they may like Mori even more. Try and feature her covers for Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Jessie J., Demi Lovato, even her Broadway songs covers on "Sessions Quaranthemes". Many times, we have to watch and see more than one performance to really appreciate and admire an artist. 🥰
Very nice analysis. Now that you have started reacting to Morissette you will be bombarded with request to react like, Never Enough (Lauren Allred), Rise up (Andra Day) and Secret Love Song by Little Mix.
I am not sure if this one is reuploaded or not. I think I've seen this reaction before in this same channel. I could be wrong. It's been a while since you reacted to Morissette. You were one of the reactors I was looking forward to react to Morissette back then, but for the last two years, I only saw one Morissette reaction (I Want To Know What Love Is performance). Nonetheless, I really hope you will react to more of her stuff. Her old and recent stuff are worth listening. It's like a journey of how her musicality improves as time goes by.
This is the kind of voice I would love to hear experimenting with different genres of music, just to see where it leads. Spectacular abilities! 0% my genre of music but I still have a great overall impression.
m.ruclips.net/video/pfakFpXC7qY/видео.html apparently her dad was 80s rock fan and musician… but here’s a clip a was surprised to see. Aerosmith/GNR/BonJovi… bands with vocalist hitting crazy high notes. Enjoy
Would love to see your reaction / introduction to HIM ! Especially HIM - Bury Me Deep Inside Your Heart (Live at Rockpalast 2000) 🌹 or additionally Our Diabolikal Rapture (Overdrive Television in 1998)
I don't understand how breathing is optional for Morisette
You mean like being a human is an option too? lol
A re-upload? No matter, I love Mori and your reactions.
yees.
I'm stunned that you could get to 2023 without having heard of Morissette... You really need to hear her covers of "Never Enough" and "Rise Up" and, well, pretty much anything else she's ever sung.
She's done reactions to Morissette in the past, so this must be a re-upload.
The decor and video quality would suggest this is a video originally recorded at the very start of the channel.
I love it when Elizabeth didn’t know when to hit pause after the 8 min mark she just kept getting surprised with more and more lol
That WAS neat. 💯
Thank you so much for reacting to Morissette. Your reactions are always so "authentic" and intelligent. You are one of the BEST music reactors on YT! 👍👏

I think this is a reupload 🤔 , she already reacted this song before. Or it's a Mandela effect
@@LaplaceDeDefinitely a re-upload.
she had other whistle note and there's one which is long whistle note more than 20 seconds
I love that 'cry' in araw-araw and that whistle. She's simply amazing. That's to put it mildly.
Wait, was she SITTING for the entirety of that performance?? Holy crap... Every so often, an artist comes along that is so far above and beyond, it's almost super-human.
GOD BLESS YOU AND GOD BLESS THE PHILIPPINES 🙏🙏🙏🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🙏🙏🙏
Im 50 and Morrisette has been blowing my mind for years! She really is the greatest vocalist I've ever heard and I'm Australian and have listened to the John Farehams and legends...
But you heard Dimash?
Filipinos love singing with the "whistle notes" now because of Morissette's often application to her songs of that particular note.
Her technique is impeccable. That long phrase, though! Great reaction!
Nice one spotting the impressively long phrase (14 seconds) AFTER an equally impressive high note belt and runs. A lot of reactors and reviewers miss that. 💚👍🏽
You can see how much see loves to sing and WOW she's good at it 😮
A surprise re-upload. Morisette has a great singing voice.
Yeah. Now I know that it's not only me who think this is reupload, maybe there was a copyright issue
Which is good. Considering for her new subscribers to see. Wow, she actuallynhas 1.35 million subscribers!
couldnt stop listening to this on repeat when i first heard this
Outstanding! What an impressive vocalist! This way of singing reminds me of so many top singers of the 80's and 90's!
Plenty more examples from Morissette and others on the Wish Bus.
Morrisette is simply the best female vocalist in the world. You can spends weeks on you tube going down the Morrisette rabbit hole and what a amazing journey it is to be had. I can't praise this amazing artist enough.
