I don't think other singers can sing this song the way she does. Technical execution and emotion mixed perfectly, in its own way. These performances are a clear demonstration of the greatness of the "queen morissette amon" and her "singing subjects. 🤔👸🧎 In September she will be in Rome, guest of honor at the ASAP tour program. From what they say he should sing 3 songs. I will be there all ears, with friends. THX reaction. 😁
Morissette is really the Queen! 😊 According to the vlog made by her husband on this video, Morissette was not in her full element during the recording. Yet she slayed it; what a great artist.❤
The lyrics of this song is expressing someone's strong emotions of wanting to let go but in dilemma because the heart doesn't want to. The heart is hanging to find hope but you know in reality that its not there anymore. The emotion is really screaming of the pain of having to let go. Morissette is able to express those emotions in the songs as demonstrated by the ups and downs of her tones. Perfectly executed 💯
The way she expresses those lyrics, guuurl, it's gut wrenching and heartbreaking! And her performance, ugh. Mind-blowing and breathtaking! This has given me a roller coaster ride of emotions 🤯😵💫😵🥹😱
Thank you for the thorough analysis of Morissette's performance of "Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw" on the Wish Bus. It translates to, as you have mentioned, "I Already Want To Let Go". Sheryn Regis is one of the songwriters. It was made part of the soundtrack for a Philippine TV drama series "The Broken Marriage Vow" and they handpicked Morissette to do the interpretation. Her rendition made the song a hit and viral, partly because of the popularity of the drama series about a loving wife who was being cheated by her husband, but mainly because of Morissette's delivery of the song. As you mentioned, she is a master of story-telling, of dynamics, of contrasts. Listening to the song itself is like watching a movie. It starts slowly, almost like conversational, then it builds up from the chorus, and even more from the bridge onwards, with the climax key change and non-stop belting, and then goes back down on the anti-climax or resolution at the end. I see it in this reaction. At first you were able to pause and give us your breakdowns and analysis on the early parts, but when we reached the climax parts, you can no longer pause and just immersed yourself and indulged in the intensity and power unfolding and being displayed by Morissette, just like when a movie grips you during the climax and you do want to miss a single moment. And your facial expressions say it all. It's the same for all of us who have watched it the first time, and still it continues to amaze us everytime we watch it, though the Wish video itself or through reaction videos like this. 🥰 I agree with you, and Morissette said it herself, that this is one of the most difficult songs to sing. It demands a lot from the singer, vocally and the breath management and control. Plus the portrayal of the various emotions of sadness, being hurt, at the same time confusion, who to choose -- yourself, or the one you loved, to let go, or not and just keep on holding despite the pain? And she nailed it. No wonder Mori's rendition is so popular. 🥰 I look forward to more of your reactions to Morissette.
Thank you for reacting to my facvourite vocalist Morissette again. This performance is really brilliant, the one she did with the band is even more spectacular. It really doesn't matter which of her performances you chose to react to and analyse next, but maybe you'd like "Fly as a bird" to be next, or her amazing A capella version of "Rise up".
Agree about Fly Like a Bird, I'd love to see her react to that. Or one of her broadway performances from Stages Sessions. Or Moon River/Usahay. Or one of her originals from her Signature EP, like Love You Still or Will You Stay. I don't believe she's done the Bruno Mars medley yet, either. Unmatched versatility, lots to choose from!
"Kung kalungkutan ko'ng kaligayahan mo" liberally translates to 'If my sadness is your happiness. "Ko'ng" is the contraction of the words Ko and Ang, that literally means "of my"

Any one can sing the song but not every one is like Queen Morissette, she literally breaths life in the song, bursting in different levels of emotions that sink deep into your heart and thus affects your whole being. Queen Morissette is the best female entertainer-vocalist for this generation and more to come. Thank you for your point-reactions, love it 🥰😍🤩
Literally, gusto is WANT, ng bumitaw is TO LET GO or GIVEUP. Thank you for appreciating good music w/ different language. I' m not a vocal coach but I can & good listeners can differentiate good from great. And, I'm a fan too.
This is one of the hardest if not the hardest song to sing. I literally could not breathe watching her sing the last part of the song. Her technique is just second to none! She’s just brilliant!!! Thank you for your comprehensive reaction. I truly believe the way you break down segments with explanations of what her voice is going through makes you one of the better reactors going around. 🔥👍

I love your reaction to this performance. You should watch her performance of "Could You Be Messiah ". I enjoy listening to Morissette, even though I don't understand the words. But to me, music is the language of the soul.
Informative comments, I love also ur reactions! Hardest song ever. I'm blown away with her performance. Amazing singer, she's one of a kind. Goosebumps!
The thing I love about this song is it has big moments for her voice. It’s clearly a song the vast majority of the world would just embarrass themselves trying to sing, but at the same time it’s really uptempo and fast moving.
Hi Beautiful & Talented Soprano Lady! I am so Happy to watch you again reacting to the most Amazing Singer/Vocalist in the World in this generation! This is one of Mori's masterpiece performance. Subtitles is missing though but one can google it. The title can be translated as "I want to let go..( but my heart wont let me..)"
I love how you're really actually explaining what's happening with the singer's voice and how she's singing the notes and the lyrics in a more educational, easier to understand way.
The narrative of this song speaks volume of one's inner desire to let go of a battered person in a relationship, however the heart is still holding on. The emotions are a mixed of pains, anger, surrender, and more. Mori delivers a beautiful eruption of emotion
Recently shes in Us Tour in CA and Hawaii but soon in Milan ❤ Gusto ko ng Bumitaw means I Want To let Go ur pronounciation is good 👌🥰 You must try her Orig Song Naririnig Mo Ba is also underrated she will shower you with her squeaks in that performance or Her performance with David Foster concert i strongly suggest Day2 performance wearing pink dress for Bodyguard Medley or Never Enough Black Dress thats a must to react👌🥰 New Subs Here Shes not in her best condition during that perf thanks to steriods she was able to sing it live shes very indemand since the pandemic lifted back to back performance.
I just love watching you react to Morissette because it's always the perfect balance between a technical discussion and you just fangirling/ appreciating her. Love it, looking forward for more~!
oh I've waited so long for you to react on Morisette after the Akin Ka Na Lang which was about 3 years ago already. You are amazing, your description and reaction to her singing is what made me search for your channel again. Loved it!❤
Wow, You really dug in to this performance! We love it! What I find most remarkable about Morisette's performance of this song is how she developed the idea of "letting go/giving up" on the relationship by the way she sang the choruses. The first time she sang it was as if she was just entertaining the idea of a break up. That first "..Gusto ko nang bumitaw" (..I want to give up ) was so delicate and tentative that it just breaks your heart. Her brilliant (and appropriate) use of her signature voice cracks highlights the emotional turmoil of the POV character. In this way we listen to what the character is saying and the feeling behind it. The succeeding choruses shows a growing resolve to break up the relationship. The finale being a firm decision to break up and the feeling of freedom it brings. Then it tapers off with a feeling of melancholy at the end of that relationship. Great song structure and this performance highlights Morisette's excellent story telling skills. Her connection to the song and her ability to share it with her listeners is simply amazing! "Rise up" and "She used to be Mine" are some of my favorite performances by her. Keep up the good work Jess! 🥰
You’ve become a more informative, or educational reaction channel since I’ve last watched you-but you’re so compelling and insightful and so well informed about all of this that I’m not mad about it haha. Keep it up Jess.
I hadn’t seen you in a while, welcome back! As usual, you dissect and analyze very well, bringing to our attention the technique choices Morissette is taking to sweep us into her rollercoaster ride emotionally. I’m a guy but Morissette moves me like no one else emotionally. I’ll date myself, not since Neil Diamond’s Hot August Night concert at the Greek Theater has someone moved me so. She lives what she sings and it’s hard not to be pulled in. Love your comments & reactions: your face shows it all!
Gusto ko ng bumitaw= I like to give up/let go or I wanna let go Gusto = like or want Ko= me Ng bumitaw= give up Saying the same twice or thrice= means really really wants to give up. this song is about being in a relationship but she is the other woman.. so she wants to let go but her heart says no.. very emotional song
great analysis, highly technical, detailed.. also i like that you , during the build to the climax, respected the work by just sitting back and absorb the performance... great job Jess... be well and thrive
I always love your detailed reaction-analysis videos to Mori ❤️🔥 A few things… 1. Your pronunciation of the title is on point! (I closed my eyes & listened, and it was as if I were hearing a native Tagalog speaker!) 2. Rather than a cry for help, this is more an internal battle on whether to stay (in the marriage) as there might still be hope, yet at the same time wanting to leave (let go) to escape the pain. 3. I was near tears watching your face during the song’s climax 😢 (Although there really is one part in this song that when I’m singing it gets me all choked up, it’s not the climax. That one you did to me) 4. The end of the song is the resolution to choose herself (her well-being) and deciding to let go. 5. Although this is a great version-while battling a cold(!)-I prefer Mori’s performance of this song with a live band and where she’s on her feet, which is on her YT channel. Thanks so much for this! 🙌🏽
This is a suicidal song 😅 But thank you for appreciating morissette ❤ And She jus had a concert in the Bay Area i believe that was last June with Martin nievera
If there would be a reactor reward you’d getting it 1000 times from me!! This for not only translating the different aspects of a song: The interpretation The dynamics and changes The build update, emotional emphasis and release of tension The phrasing and lyrical interpretations But you’re combined reactionwith your attachment and reaction to this Morissette piece of wonder… wow Keep it up there Jess ❤❤❤
Gusto = want ko = me/ i ng = (just a connecting word) bumitaw = let go/ to let go. This is very emotional song because it's a conflicting - I want to let go. The song suggest she is saying I want to let go. But her heart doesn't want to. Thats why she sounds like crying because it's not an easy let go. She interpreted it perfectly. Emotion and vocal technique. This explains the first and second rhythmic phrasing of - gusto ko ng bumitaw. First phrase sounds like she's anxious/unsure to tell the person - I want to let go Second verse sounds like she's in a hurry/ haste to go. Imagine after discussion or argument an actual break up in a relationship.

[Verse 1]
Crying every night
Not a voice can be heard
Fighting a losing war
Until when, already defeated, already exhausted
I thought you were still mine but not anymore
Is there really nothing anymore?
[Verse 2]
Pacing in the darkness
Getting lost, getting confused, what am I really to you?
Who am I really to you?
Here in my slumber
There's like a weight in my chest
There's nothing else as sad
There's nothing else as painful
[Chorus]
(Gusto ko nang bumitaw)
I already want to let go
But my heart does not want to yet
I already want to let go
There may still be hope
Myself as enemy, who should be the one to choose?
Who is it supposed to be, should it be myself or you?
I already want to let go
[Verse 3]
If my sorrow is your happiness
If my shackles mean your freedom
If the wound in my heart is the cure for yours
What will happen of me, should I give way?
Am I to set you free with your heart intact?
I'm already losing my hope
[Chorus]
(Gusto ko nang bumitaw)
I already want to let go
But my heart does not want to yet
I already want to let go
There may still be hope
Myself as enemy, who should be the one to choose?
Who is it supposed to be, should it be myself or you?
I already want to let go
I already want to let go
[Bridge]
Weeping but nobody's even listening (Ah)
There's never a good place for
A faulty love
So now, I will choose myself first
Before I love again
Will we ever love each other
Will we ever love each other again, oh
Thank you!!
Appreciate the translation
Last two lines.

Letting go, I'm letting go.

Thank you!!!! I keep on repeating your old morisette reaction while waiting for a new one..
She's really good at dynamic contrast! I learned a new phrase/term. Once again I enjoy this, very informative yet entertaining!
GUSTO KO NG BUMITAW means "I want to let go". This song is so intense as it depict how the heart clashes with mind. There is so much emotional reservation. Like how you disect this song. God bless and take care. ❤❤❤❤
I just LOVE LOVE LOVE your reaction videos!!! I've learned a lot of things from you!!! ❤❤❤
Kindly check her video with David Foster and friends live concert in Manila, you 'll be amazed with her performance singing never enough and the body guard medly....
The last line... I'm gonna choose myself... I'm gonna let go..gonna let go ...
Manifesting your interview with Mori! 🤗🤗🤗
its like she's she is youre friend, voicing out her feelings, she is in so much pain with her relationship ,after talking to you ,,when thers changes in her voice if you notice, she want the whole world she is so much pain with her relationship, she wants to giveup but her heart says no,she needs help so much, thats the song means ,,like, shes crying for help,,,
I believe she has performed in SF two or three times over the past year and a half. That is usually her first stop...I think.
Any one can sing the song but not every one is like Queen Morissette, she literally breaths life in the song, bursting in different levels of emotions that sink deep into your heart and thus affects your whole being. Queen Morissette is the best female entertainer-vocalist for this generation and more to come. Thank you for your point-reactions, love it 🥰😍🤩
Goosebumps‼️
Gusto ko nang bumitaw (I want to let go) , but the ❤ wants to hold on. A dilemna.
An emotional song and Morissette did not disappoint.
I think that #morissette can be considered as a top shelf vocalist.❤🎉😮
You understand morrie very well..ty for your beautiful reaction.
Your the best analysis in your craft and have missed hearing your reactions to Mori, keep up the super singing and stay healthy❤blessings.
This power ballad hits hard especially if you understand the words.. You want to sympathize to the singer's sentiment.
i always watch your mori reaction videos. not only because im a proud pinoy but i think your reaction is one of the best specialy when it comes to technical explanation. love it. Thanks! ❣️
Thank you! 😃
Love your screams during her high notes 🤗
Mori is on a beast mode🔥

MABUHAY 🏆🥇🛎️ MS MORRISSETTE 🫶 HINDI KAMI BIBITAW SAYO👉🇵🇭🌹😊 Fr. j.p👉🇯🇵
Love this in depth review. Mori is fantastic. To be moved by a sing in a language you do not speak is a Amazing thing
I love the way you analyze the voice and techniques of singer,, l learned more from you. God bless😃😃
We Morissette fans would love for you to go see her Live! Love the outro...
I love your reaction to this performance. You should watch her performance of "Could You Be Messiah ". I enjoy listening to Morissette, even though I don't understand the words. But to me, music is the language of the soul.
Thank you- your explantions are very informative.
I've missed you a lot doing a content of Morissette's music.❤❤❤yeah! i agreed ! but, tensions and damage to Her Vocals! but, could you pls!.check out Her Bruno Mars Evolutions cover!.just a gift for Bruno Mars Birthday from His Fan MORISSETTE!😅😅😅
Wow. I learned many things. Thank you for this. More power to your channel.
Glad it was helpful!
I love you Queen Morissette👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑❤️❤️❤️💋💋💋
I just love watching you react to Morissette because it's always the perfect balance between a technical discussion and you just fangirling/ appreciating her. Love it, looking forward for more~!
oh I've waited so long for you to react on Morisette after the Akin Ka Na Lang which was about 3 years ago already. You are amazing, your description and reaction to her singing is what made me search for your channel again. Loved it!❤
I could die while watching her sing I couldn’t take one breath.
You, MA'AM! I'm becoming a morisette fan🥺 THANKS TO YOUR ANALYSIS AND YOU KNOW.... YOU'RE NOT BLUFFING. NO CAP, you are legit❤🎉
Always enjoy watching your analysis videos of Mori ❤
Not just an Asia's Phoenix, she's now the Asia's Vermillion Tigress❤❤
Yay! More Morissette reviews!!!! More more more plssssss 🙏♥️🫰Love it!!!!!
You’ve become a more informative, or educational reaction channel since I’ve last watched you-but you’re so compelling and insightful and so well informed about all of this that I’m not mad about it haha. Keep it up Jess.
Your reaction..absolutely awesome. Thank you and hapoy weekend.
Morissette made this song famous.😊
Gusto ko ng bumitaw= I like to give up/let go or I wanna let go
Gusto = like or want
Ko= me
Ng bumitaw= give up
Saying the same twice or thrice= means really really wants to give up.
this song is about being in a relationship but she is the other woman.. so she wants to let go but her heart says no.. very emotional song
great analysis, highly technical, detailed.. also i like that you , during the build to the climax, respected the work by just sitting back and absorb the performance...
great job Jess... be well and thrive
I love love love how you dissect the lesson into bits for us to easily understand. Thank you so much!!
Anytime!
I always love your detailed reaction-analysis videos to Mori ❤️🔥
A few things…
1. Your pronunciation of the title is on point! (I closed my eyes & listened, and it was as if I were hearing a native Tagalog speaker!)
That one you did to me)
4. The end of the song is the resolution to choose herself (her well-being) and deciding to let go.
5. Although this is a great version-while battling a cold(!)-I prefer Mori’s performance of this song with a live band and where she’s on her feet, which is on her YT channel.
Thanks so much for this! 🙌🏽
What a lovely comment! Thank you for the compliments and the added insightful information 💛
@@jessicasopranonotes 🤗
Absolutely fantastico!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a suicidal song 😅
But thank you for appreciating morissette ❤
And She jus had a concert in the Bay Area i believe that was last June with Martin nievera
She smashed that song, total commitment
If there would be a reactor reward you’d getting it 1000 times from me!!
This for not only translating the different aspects of a song:
The interpretation
The dynamics and changes
The build update, emotional emphasis and release of tension
The phrasing and lyrical interpretations
But you’re combined reactionwith your attachment and reaction to this Morissette piece of wonder… wow
Keep it up there Jess ❤❤❤
That means a lot, thanks Chris!

Gusto = want
ko = me/ i
ng = (just a connecting word)
bumitaw = let go/ to let go.
First phrase sounds like she's anxious/unsure to tell the person - I want to let go
Second verse sounds like she's in a hurry/ haste to go. Imagine after discussion or argument an actual break up in a relationship.
Ng is To. To let go
I think she just performed in CA a month ago.
Queen Morissette Amon👑😍🇵🇭 Vocal Ability is superb that's why for me she's the Best Singer today... This song Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw (I Want To Let Go) is now Monster OPM Hit song🏆😍👏 that's how great Morissette as Song Interpreter... No one can slay Morissette Tagalog songs it's so hard👑😍💗 I prefer the Live Band Performance on her RUclips channel... Thanks
Bumitaw in English is: release, liberate, get free, let go of, get loose. Gusto ko ng bumitaw is” I wanna get free.” Filipino-American watching from LA, CA.
Shes the best now when it comes to vocal performance!
Gusto - want, ko- I, nang- to, bumitaw- let go
Her songs in tagalog, this version and live band version, di marpaliwanag, Akin ka na lang of course, and others etc are some of the most spectacular female singing you will ever hear.
Hi Miss. Welcome back to our Mori😘
My fav reactor indeed!💞
