    Tim Vaillancourt with Proformance Scent Dogs and Proformance K9 explains what the sport of canine scentwork is and how to build the Odor Imprinting Pipe System. This equipment is used for both beginner and advanced dogs to teach the dog what odor you want them to find, teach them a new odor, or fix issues such as not staying at the odor. Tim...thanks for the video. I put these together and it worked like a charm on a 14 week old puppy. I took your seminar with Debi Feliziani

    Hello! Love your content and thank you for sharing. For a while now I've become quite fascinated with the canine detection world and can understand there is quite a strong and deep level of training involved which I find very interesting. I wondered if you would be open to possibly having a video or audio chat virtually to chat through your experiences and learnings from becoming a detection dog handler? I feel there is a strong need at this time to build community through innovation and it would be amazing to learn some new skills and perspectives. Take care, Sarah

    Great video. I am headed to the hardware store to get materials. I want to watch the platform training by Deb Zappia. You listed the link below but it is no longer accessible.

    Bit more expensive but, you can use toilet flanges and 4 inch sanitary tees, then no need to cut holes..

    semper fi brother! Question, how can I translate this into breaking sports dogs from running unwanted game? Have some beagles that I trained for running rabbits for a year inside a training pen. Had taken them to a public area to hunt and they tracked and ran a deer. Any suggestions? Thanks

    I hear a lot about hot and cold trackers also ground and air trackers, can all be trained this way regardless of breed?

    I loved your video. Can you tell me where you bought your pvc pipe and fittings. I have looked at several places and cannot find the materials to build the pipe system. Would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks for the excellent video. Steve Bettcher

      Hi Steve. I apologize for not seeing this question sooner. I get all of the equipment from Lowe’s, except the composite decking. The decking is Trex 1x12 fascia board. The bead containers can be found at most craft stores.

    Question: I bought all of this at Home Depot but cannot get street pvc to fit on 4in flange has to use wd40 and a mallet and it still isn’t fitting all the way. Never going to get it undone either

    • @rudylovesmarie
      @rudylovesmarie 4 года назад

      Its not easy and might be a tight fit. Also, id say to return those items your put WD40 on, you pretty much contaminated the tool.

    Steve, what do you use to CUT the pvc hole?

    • @proformancek9
      @proformancek9  5 лет назад

      I use a 3 1/2” hole saw to cut the whole in the back. It’s probably better done with a drill press, but I put the hole saw in a cordless drill. You have to be careful because the hole saw can get caught on the pvc and spin the pipe out of your hand
