The petrol line-up comprises a P300 and a refined P400, featuring efficient Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) technology. The powerful Defender V8 features a 5.0-litre V8 supercharged engine and is the fastest, most powerful and dynamic production Defender ever made, with 525PS in the Defender 90 V8 and Defender 110 V8, and 500PS in the Defender 130 V8.
Alternatively, customers can choose an in-line six-cylinder diesel - the D300 - providing a muscular 650Nm of torque. For ultimate choice, this powertrain is also available in D200 and D250 variants, also featuring MHEV technology for superior responses and enhanced efficiency.

Good job there is an 'SOS' button, will spend most of it's time in Land Rover workshop (Dealers ) repairing faults and software !
We have a nearly 2 year old 90 and have not had any faults.

HELP!!! I cannot decide between Defender 110 and GX 550. Which one should i get??? I mean it's a hard earned money and I don't want to regret later on. PLEASE give me advice which one should i get. I'm really confused... I like the GX for its reliability but i like the Defender 110 on the aesthetics on its exterior and the interior is so sublime. So which one should i buy??? TY
I was facing the same dilemma as I had already placed an order for the 110 S this summer. It's supposed to arrive next month, but I was thinking about dropping it in favor of the GX. I decided to stick with the Defender (for now) for a few key reasons:
1) GX 550 won't hit dealers until Q1 next year at the earliest. The fact that they don't even have a configurator on their website yet tells me it could be even longer.
2) Even when it does drop, it's going to be HOT. What are the odds I'll be able to get my hands on one without substantial dealer markup?
3) While LR doesn't have the best reputation for reliability, they've had 3 years to work out some of the kinks in production and quality. Not so with the GX.
4) This one is minor but, afaik the GX is not available with an air suspension.
If the GX were available now, without markup, I would probably go that direction. But it isn't... and Defenders are not depreciating too terribly under current market conditions. So I'm going with the Defender, knowing that I could make the switch a few years down the road when the GX is easier to come by if I'm not feeling the Defender anymore.
Maybe you're more patient than me, just know that it could be a year or more before GX is available at MSRP (just look at Bronco for comparison, which is still impossible to come by years later).

@@LaunchpadGP Thanks mate for the info! How much did you buy for the 110 S? Which color did you choose? I like the Pangea Green or the Tasman Blue.... For GX, i like the Earth color for the Overtrail.

@@Lion_King_143 my p300 configuration with all the off-road goodies and a HUD came to $68k after the destination fee. Gondwana stone, kind of like the Earth color but darker and I think more metallic.
White steel wheels, will powder coat them black. Also want to black out silver lower bumper pieces since you can only get them black from the factory on higher trims (x dynamic I think?).
I like the Pangea green too but it just doesn’t seem very fitting for a luxury car. I’d like it more if it was darker like the classic British Racing Green.

Yet another over priced SUV from this company can not understand why anyone would personally pay for it. There larger vehicles are priced beyond belief they are not good $250.000.00 for your upmarket trucks??
Seriously? The truck is maybe $80k if truly equipped, base price around $56k for MY24. You can max out around $110k if you insist on having a V8 which is useless for offroading. The V8 is so handicapped you can't put anything on the roof. For $150k and up you are probably thinking about their Range Rover. A SVR model (hand assembled) can go over $200k
