That was my wife’s favorite song. On the way home from her funeral I was driving her car and I reached up and turned on the CD to listen to music and this came on causing me to pull over for a few minutes. It was like she was telling me she was still with me. I listen to it at least once every two weeks and remember our good times. My beloved MD I miss you.
I'm sorry for your lost! She will always be with you because the love still remains,
You can be sure, this was not a coinsidence - she was telling you that.
She was with you then, and she still is. 🦋
John your wife must have such a beautiful heart... for this to be her favourite xxx
Wishing much strength.
Know that nothing ever truly dies and she’s waiting for you wherever she is. Much love. ❤
My wife and I watched this movie when we were first dating, I lost her two years ago and the clips of this movie make we wish I could go back to that time

They don't make movies like this anymore. The kind of movie that stuck in your heart forever....
That's because acting has improved.
You couldn’t have said it better.

Don Roach You're in good company and I'm happy to say within seconds my eyes had filled up. Great film and AMAZING soundtrack. Take care in these strange isolated times .👍
When my oldest sister was sick with cancer, she insisted that we watch the movie over and over when I would come to take care of her. Her husband had just passed away 18 months before her and it was their favorite movie. When she died at the age of 49 we played Somewhere In Time theme music at her funeral. When I hear this beautiful music it doesn't make me sad. Instead it brings back the sweet memories of watching the movie with her.

I would die to lick that your assets, and ass but we know each other and your derek ivie or michael keighron and I walked with my eyes wide opened. My wife and I watched this beautiful movie together, so heart wrenching couldn't talk just held her hand and kissed it often until the movie ended.
My beautiful wife went to Heaven in December 2020. She was 76 and I'm 67. How I truly wish that like in the movie I could travel back in time 💔
We're from Chicago and one of our most memorable trips was driving to Copper Harbor Michigan. Now this movie and wonderful music is so much more meaningful and heart stopping.
I know that men aren't supposed to cry but the pain anguish and suffering of losing half of my soul (the better half) is so unbearable that I'm not ashamed to admit that there hasn't been a day that I haven't cried for my beautiful wife.
She died in December leaving me alone to die every single day since 💔
Blessings sir, you CAN see her again, with both of you in all your glory 💞

I saw this on VHS in 1986 and its stayed with me for almost 40 years. Exquisite movie.
Has been my favorite movie for many years. I love the storyline, music, and the cast's great acting, especially Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeves (RIP).
A most tragic ending to any movie. The most tragic ending to this beautiful man's life.
Christopher Reeve...one of the most polite, kind, decent, and humble human beings you could have ever met in your lifetime.
That just makes it all the better. : )
He certainly was. He is missed!
Wonderful to see him so young and transparent!
What a man should look like and act like. There all gone now. Only losers left.
@@danielc.8875 I haven't paid much attention in the last 10-15 years, but Hollywood has a long history with some fairly despicable males in leading roles, all the way back to Charlie Chaplin and other silent stars. Reeve was one of the few true gentle people in that industry.
Personality disorders abound in Hollywood, especially Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and they aren't the worst but their not far behind the worst (Bill Cosby is considered a sexually violent predator), Michael Douglas is accused of sexual harassment, Richard Dreyfus exposed himself to a female writer, Morgan Freeman has been accused by 8 different people, Dustin Hoffman was accused by a 17 year old girl of inappropriate behavior. Woody Allen. Kevin Spacey. George Takei. Jeffrey Tambor. Sylvester Stallone. Ben Vareen. That is just some of the leading men over age 60. There are just as many under the age of 60 who are equally as bad.
Director James Toback (73) has over 300 accusers. There are many other directors. Roman Polanski comes to mind, as does Woody Allen.
Go into television and you have Charlie Rose with several accusers, David Letterman with several accusers. Matt Lauer with several accusers.
Go into classical music and you have several conductors from James Dutut (81) of the London Royal Philharmonic to NY Met Opera conductor James Levin (75).
Go into ballet and you have The American School of Ballet having to "remove" longtime ballet chief Peter Martins (71).
Go into photography and you have another whole list of men over 60, each with several accusers.
Don't get me started on the male comedians, as the list is long, long, long.
There are a lot of men in the world, sadly from young to elderly, who have spent their lives preying on the vulnerable, exploiting their employees, students, assistants, and even prepubescent children.
If you wanna read something truly disturbing read about Tom Sizemore (age 59). The 11-year old girl is now an adult and has pressed charges since her parents dropped the charges back in 2003. www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/tom-sizemore-was-removed-movie-set-allegedly-violating-11-year-old-girl-1057629/
There are a lot of very, very disturbed and entitled men in the world, and the very sad thing is that most women and girls do NOT report what happens to them. These are just a few cases where there are multiple accusers.
There are some good men left, but not as many as we would hope. Ron Howard comes to mind. Tom Hanks comes to mind.
Then you have the males in Hollywood who had fake marriages and lived double lives with young gay male lovers. They weren't predators, but they sure were dishonest.
I'm a 65-year-old man and I've cried every time I watched this movie.
I am 68 and I cry everytime..

I'm not even half of any of your ages and yet I cry too. Isn't it nice that no matter the age gap, we have something nice in common? Wish they made movies like this still
@@lisal8568 Hi Lisa,,,the reason that I Think movies aren't made like this is: the heart of our youth is diminishing in the cold electronics, the general "me'ism" attitude. We can go on and on but the generations of Americans are changing and their hearts are changing.
This remains my all time, favorite movie. I've watched it countless times, and never tire of it. An absolutely beautiful love story.
This is one of themost beautiful love stories ever written. What is even more interesting is the back story of how this even came about. I cry every time I see it and love the soundtrack. I have a friend that wrote words to the theme song and I have it on a cassette, I need to transfer it to a cd so I don't loose it. My friend has passed and I should honor him that way.
One of the most beautiful, haunting and touching movie scores of all time.
After watching this movie so many years ago, the only way I can describe it, is this way. Love never dies, It just wanders thru time until it arrives at the place its suppose to be.

This movie is so beautiful it is almost unbearable to watch. Two hearts truly in love are not ruled by time nor place. Our hearts know no time. That is how I picture my death.. I float for a moment above this old shell of me and then, I see him, my husband and we are young again, and there is no separation, no time, no distance. I miss him so very much! I wear my ring still and will wear it until death takes me back to him.

Hands down - One of the most Romantic movies ever made ! So Beautiful and hauntingly sad with one of the most Gorgeous Musical scores ever written for a film ! Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour are so perfect in this movie , and he is sadly missed , he was Superman !
I do miss Christopher Reeves. He was such a good actor. His loss was a tragedy for his family and the world.
Amen to that and what makes it even sadder, is when his sweet wife died just 17 months later of lung cancer. She loved him so much. She never left his side and took such great care of him.
Rest in Peace Superman, Christopher Reeves🙏❤ 🌹🌷
Absolutely
He was a noble soul. Turned down the lead in ‘American Gigolo’ and other such parts early in his career
I’m a Michigander, and I had my wedding reception on Mackinac Island, where parts of the movie were filmed. So romantic!! I love everything about this movie except they DO NOT allow cars on the island. Never have. You get around by bike, on foot or horse drawn carriages. I gasped when I saw him driving his car up to the Grand Hotel. Thanks for a great video nonetheless!!
Yes, one of my favourite movies. Lovely performances from the leads but a sublime score from John Barry. And, who wouldn't travel across time for the sublime Jane Seymour?
The distant stare in his face Christopher had in his face before he died deserved an Oscar.
I thought the same thing. He looks so forlorn.
Indeed
So true. You could see him going back in time to be with her. He was a magnificent actor and person. Something else that has added to the sadness of the whole story is when his wife, Dana, died only 17 months after he did. I was completely shocked about her death. Now, I just like to think of how they met in the clouds, running to each other, whole and healthy again, like in the end of the movie, never to be parted again. Okay, I'm crying now.
Chilling

A beautiful, heartbreaking and highly underrated film, one of Christopher Reeve best. An actor taken too soon.
Its Reeve...again!! Not Reeves..I'm so happy
Totally agree, Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour's performances were excellent! You can feel Richard Collier's pain and anguish at finding and losing the love of his life. They met back up in heaven to be together for Eternity. John Barry's musical score is so emotionally charged and a vital part in making this film so powerful!
What do you mean too soon? That poor, beautiful man has been suffering for more than a decade!
@Quiet Dove just like you

You said it all. I love this movie.
I saw this movie in Jr High School, and it took my breath away, and absolutely set the Romantic Tones for my Loves Journeys and now the Love Of My Life I mis so very Much, My Robert Jason Rios 1979 forever my Love.
Everyone needs to see this movie. It's incredible. It make u wish u could go back in time.
This is my hope, that one day, when our time comes, we're reunited with our loved ones.
Each needs to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and His payment for our sins in order to be allowed into Heaven.
😭😢

I know we will be! I feel that truth with every part of my heart mind and soul. Death is not the end of life. I will see my loved ones again, you will as well.
Perhaps the best instrumental soundtrack ever placed on a film. A classic score. Lovely film.
That's Rachmaninoff for you...
...with an outstanding assist from John Barry. 🎶🎼🎶🎹🎶
I'm 57 and remember this movie. So touching and always brings tears with a heavy heart. One of my fav of fav movies of all times. This broke my heart even after years. I still sob.
Filme lindo e ainda acompanhado por uma linda melodia. Misterioso sentimento, que se mistura com tristeza e o mais sublime amor.
This movie reminds me of you, of us. You are and will always be my everything. I love you OD.
My husband worked for Christopher Reeve as a aid and I can tell you he was a lovely everyday guy but his wife Dana was a brilliant nice person. I was so sad to hear she had passed there son Will is a well rounded young man.
Thanks for sharing it with us
After my husband passed, out of no where my phone started playing the theme song. I knew right way it was from my husband. Although I know he is just out off sight he is always with me. thank you.

Me transporta y me llena de emoción está película ❤
This movie was created in the 1980s when many people still considered that love was a matter of life. Love was a serious and dedicated relationship. The producer, director, cameramen, actors, screenwriter, music composer, and all related people created it so beautifully. In the 2020s, we just can't go back in time anymore.
So wish we could! I lost my husband in 1992.
@@lindalewis1998 I am sure that he is waiting for you somewhere. Somewhere in times, you and him will reunite again and again.
The older I get the more I look forward to that reunion!
You have made a good point there.
❤️
It's still one of my favorite movies of all time! I haven't seen another one like it. Somewhere in time....

Vicki Langer what a beautiful comment. My mom showed me this film too. It always reminds me of her. She is still with us and I hope for many more years. She adores this film and was a great fan of Christopher. RIP to your beautiful mom. I’m sure she’s always with you
I believe that our loved ones, when they leave here fulfilling their mission, continue to help us on the Spiritual Plane.

My oldest friend and I watched this movie when we were roommates many years ago. Over and over again. This, Beaches and Josie Wales were our go to movies. She is gone now and every time I watch them I always feel a mixture of great memories and sadness. You can always find those memories somewhere in the past. "Somewhere in time".
It's Niagra Falls, everytime I watch this. I'm a grown 53 year old man, and I'm not ashamed one bit saying it. RIP Reeves, you were one of a kind.
