À chaque visionnage de Somewhere in Time, je ne peux m’empêcher d’être submergé par l’émotion, les larmes coulant malgré moi. Ce film est bien plus qu’une simple histoire d’amour : c’est une ode à un sentiment si pur et profond qu’il transcende le temps et les frontières de la réalité. Depuis que je l’ai découvert, il est devenu mon film préféré, une œuvre qui me bouleverse à chaque fois. Christopher Reeve, dans le rôle de cet homme en quête d’un amour qui semble lui échapper, livre une performance inoubliable, pleine de grâce et de sensibilité. Quant à Jane Seymour, elle incarne avec une beauté et une élégance captivantes une femme qui semble tout droit sortie d’un rêve. Leur alchimie est magique, et ensemble, ils donnent vie à l’une des plus belles histoires d’amour que le cinéma ait jamais offertes. Mais ce qui rend Somewhere in Time vraiment exceptionnel, c’est la bande originale de John Barry. Dès les premières notes, sa musique m’enveloppe, m’emporte dans un tourbillon d’émotions, à la fois nostalgique et envoûtant. C’est sans doute l’une des compositions les plus belles et les plus touchantes que j’aie jamais entendues, un véritable chef-d’œuvre qui donne à chaque scène une profondeur incomparable. Les décors ajoutent encore à cette magie. L’île de Mackinac, avec son atmosphère hors du temps, et le somptueux Grand Hôtel créent un écrin parfait pour cette romance intemporelle. Tout dans ce film respire la beauté et la délicatesse, me transportant dans une époque que je n’ai jamais connue mais que je ressens si intensément. Somewhere in Time n’est pas seulement un film pour moi, c’est une expérience profondément personnelle. Il me rappelle que l’amour peut défier les lois du temps, que la beauté réside dans les choses simples et authentiques, et qu’un rêve, aussi fou soit-il, mérite toujours d’être poursuivi. À chaque fois, il me laisse ému, nostalgique, et infiniment reconnaissant d’avoir croisé son chemin.

I want this music to play at my funeral, not because I like it, I want my loved ones to know that I found happiness in my final destination. I had a boyfriend whom passed away from a car accident at a young age. many years ago I had a dream where he bumped into me on a Parisian sidewalk, I immediately knew who he was, but he didn’t recognize me at first. I grabbed his shoulder to apologize and he looked at and told me “have we met before?” Then he looked at my hand and looked back at me and smiled as if recognized me. Then, I woke up in tears, but I also remembered who will be there. I grew up in a conservative family, I had to fight this alone, as I am a male and having in stilled in me that loving another male is taboo. There will come a day when I’m ready to go, I’ll see him again. To end on that note, I believe that in another lifetime, another universe, our souls, our beings in some other form are together, while in this universe, we are not.

I saw this movie back in 1987 And I come back to the movie 37 years later and I still remember that back in my days we didn’t have the technology of recording the movies. I couldn’t finish watching the movie. I know I will. So excited ❤

A fine actor whose career was cut short by a freakish accident. May he rest in peace. The music is so important to this movie,it makes you feel the passion and how badly te wanted to return to her time. Mr John Barry was a genius at composing movie themes.

Time is so relevant or is it you must do things, you should not leave it too late, time waits for no man , love will be lost . these are all good arguments but have you also realised if it is going to happen it will and time has nothing to do with it , time is time what happens in that time is to do with you and what you do with that time you have left so really you control time and what you have left make the most of it i urge you , it is your time to do what ever you want .

My mother loved fantasy like this..She saw at the theaters..My family 👪 and I took a vacation to Mackinac Island, saw the outside theater 🎥 where part of the the move 🎥 was film, and course The Grand Hotel where other parts of the movie were film 🎥 especially it being on Mackinac Island...

とても悲しい作品ですが、最後に救われます。正に『天国に結ぶ恋』ですね。マキノー島のグランドホテルに行きたいです。この映画の話をできる方とお会いしたいです。

La letra musical de esta película es cautivante. Si bien los diálogos entre los personajes son ínfimos, no se puede sacar los ojos de la pantalla. Hay que atender los gestos, las miradas, la situación, no perder detalle para comprender el fondo del libro. Excelente película.
