I’m fascinated by what makes videos succeed on RUclips (I’ve watched content creators who get tens of millions of views do break downs of their analytics etc) and I wonder if it’s something as simple as your thumbnails? I don’t think it’s in your nature to do the over the top facial expressions to make the thumbnails look over dramatic, but I wonder if it’s that? Also - I’m not sure you put as much emphasis on pushing the “like and subscribe” and making up excuses for people to comment for the algorithm to register it as social engagement maybe? Whatever it is - it’s a dang shame as you need to be getting 10k+ consistently on videos of this quality.

I have listened to this 100 times 😅 I feel every bit of her emotion in this song. There is an official video for this song but it feels like it’s not the same song. She has a song called “Elements” that has what I think is rap in parts of it. Another great song is “Cold Water “ there is a lyric video and a live performance at what appears to be an award show. I love how you broke that down. Great reaction 😊 I don’t know for sure what exactly it’s about but I 💯 agree with your lyrical analysis it’s pretty much exactly what my thoughts were. As a mother with two daughters I would much prefer they listen to this as opposed to the many female singers who I won’t name at the top of the charts. Sorry for rambling on it’s Chinchillas fault 😂 I get a little carried away when talking about her music.
Too many people don't understand the importance of role models and how much celebrities images have an impact. We can control what they watch at home but not the ads and stuff they see elsewhere or out in the real world.
I just wanna add a vote for you to look at Elements soon - I thinks it’s right up there with this performance for me, although not live and shows of her production skills as a result.
Thank you for an amazing reaction. I always like to hear your musical insight. I also love that you appreciate a strong woman, as much as her powerful voice. I have 2 daughters and agree that this is the type of example of strength that I want them to see.
Thanks for the Chinchilla reaction I agree after listening to her lyric video of elements and saw how many followers she had I was like wtf the world needs more Chinchilla and to know her.
Great reaction! I love your comments about how she is using her voice to create the beat for this. In answer to you question, though her lyrical phrasing is the same, in the recorded version, there's percussion so she didn't need to do this. I like both versions, though the sound is different. Between the two though I'd have to vote this one because it's very cool, how she is using her voice. BTW: Thanks for separating the vocal line out. It's interesting to hear just the voice.
Another great reaction. You hung your soul out to air in this one!!! I have daughters two/too (get it?!) and they have grown into well adjusted, confident, self-assured young women. I have no worries that they will be manipulated or abused by any man, but if they EVER were to fall victim to a scumbag, that scumbag better go into hiding because "Hell has no fury like a father's wrath"!!!
A more interesting question, is ,why is she only now ,after her contract is over (with a major company) is she free to produce this fantastic work . These companys are polluting our best musicians with formulaic rubbish . She is brilliant and creative on so many levels
The thing too is that it's pretty obvious that these companies are going out of their way to stifle them in some way. Otherwise there is no excuses for them not to be bigger. I always blame the individuals who are accepting the music they're getting now as palletable.
Im sorry i missed the premier but better late than never right 😅. I see that you're over 2k subscribers now and i love it! Chinchilla is my favorite female artist and Im so glad you love her too! Cant wait to see you react to more of her stuff!!
Great reaction again buddy. She is a force of nature for sure. What a great time to be alive to witness independent artists like Chinchilla, Ren, The Big Push and many others making a massive dent in the banal that can be radio friendly music industry. Very refreshing!!
The music industry is such a toxic place; worrying about fitting everyone into a mold that will make money instead of worrying about artistry. Glad they are breaking through that mold.
From my understanding she was held back and not happy with record and management companies. Out of them and going fully independent. Little girl gone fully funded by herself from writing to studio to video to dropping it, so happy for little Daisy can take the world by storm on HER terms.
she's a force to be reckoned with vocally and performatively...I think it's interesting that she went out on her own and dropped her label and management. She clearly knows that she can well exceed whatever they were already providing - that's well-placed confidence. Just like Ren, I think Chinchilla is gonna take music scene by storm. What a queen.
also, as a musician/singer, couldn't agree with you more about being present and conveying emotion rather than technical precision. Her ability to perform on the spot and do even more than she probably even planned for is her super power.
Been hunting through your page to find your reaction to Ren Chinchilla - Drunk in love but don't think you've done that yet. I recommend as I know you'll love the skill they both show in it. Ren took her out busking one evening and I don't want to say more as I want to see your observations and enjoyment. Loving your reactions and breakdowns. even thinking of getting my guitar back out the cupboard. Sending you and yours ❤from the UK
Been getting a bunch of requests for that recently. I will have to do that very very soon. Love Busking Ren and it'd be interesting to see Chinchy in the Busking scene.
@@mcflyjp From what I gather she was a bit afraid to go out and just set up on the street like that but Ren having gone out and done it for so many years gave her the confidence to have a go.
Idk about every single thing. I mean yes, she did everything in this obviously. But some of it was not calculated or planned, but more sour of the moment.
The recorded version is awesome too, I love the video to it. You gotta watch both.. I think the breaks in CUT YOUR FING ERS CLEAN OFF kind of represent slicing each finger off, maybe that's just my twisted mind 😅
Nice detail. I think in the incredible scorned bit I can hear her open her throat two levels on the last couple of beats. Like it gets slightly clearer then clearer again. Not sure if she have watched Wings of Pegasus channel but he uses some software that clearly shows the pitches and he also promotes the value of leaving it natural.

Hey dude, i commented on a previous reaction of yours about how we've been fed a diet of formulaic music for the past 2 decades. @@mcflyjp I really loved hearing Chinchilla's voice in isolation. I hadn't heard that before with any other reactors. Hi! Great reaction... I just have one question... What do you mean by not hitting the notes in the right tempo or spot? Where in the world was that not perfection? Every single inflection was unintentionally placed with intention... I’m glad that she doesn’t know what fancy word is given to explain how’s she is feeling and delivering the message... Music happened before mathematics... The way most of us look at music, today, seems to be all about the technical aspect of it... maybe we should try to decipher the strings theory... it’s all about mathematics, yet the word “strings” may induce you otherwise... That’s why “pop” music is so hollow... computerized vocals (mathematical on spot) without soul... I’m sorry (not really; it’s just politically correct) for that little (?) bit of rant... Shout out from Portugal... Take care...
Some of the notes on that particular run were not on pitch meaning the notes weren't part of that key or scale. It's just factual. Again it's not a bad thing. Feel is way more important to me and she is obviously a once in a lifetime talent.
@@mcflyjp I´m a musician... I understand the concept of the twelve step scale and i was trying to be funny:)... still my question stands, lol... to me it was as perfect as anybody can wish for (I'm talking about my music, I can't performe live like that) if it was jazz music no one could say that she was a bit flat or off tempo, could we? So, it was intended (perhaps, unintencionnal) to be like that and it was sublime...
I wish youd listen to the song all the way through first then go back. It takes away from the song when you pause so much on such amazing songs during the first listen. Get insight as always other than my opinion.
There's multiple reasons for not doing that, one being the original video is there to watch uninterrupted and I'm not trying to take away views form the original videos. Another is copyright issues on my channel. Another is that my brain is dumb, and if I don't say things as they come to mind I'll forget.
@@krotchlickmeugh627 I'll put it like this. A great singing voice is super attractive. Hers is nothing live I've ever heard. Then her overall confidence. That's all I say.
As a reactor it's your job to pause and react, albeit conservatively, but still I've never understood the aggression from the mongoloids that cry about pauses - like go watch the original if you don't want pauses
Idk about synthesized but definitely produced. I think they are totally different songs, both good in their own right. I prefer the natural performance myself.
Your Shower comment wasnt cool. I think you really need to go back and truly listen to the words of all her songs because she sings about not wanting men to just see her as a object or something they can use. The shower comment is thw very thing she sings about and doesnt want.
The shower comment had nothing to do with sexualizing her and everything to do with how the music moved me. Please don't assume and understand the context of what I'm saying.
I didnt say that. I said emotion shouldn't be spited for perfect pitch. Pitch is definitely important. But when you out ultra importance on pitch you get auto tune.
@@mcflyjp I think auto tune is the worst thing to happen to singing in decades. My teenage granddaughter and a couple of her friends sing off tune with all the emotion you can imagine. I am from the days when one actually had to learn to sing. When I gently tell them they can learn pitch, their answer is auto tune. I can also overlook the odd stray note in a great singer, which Chinchilla is, but jeez...for the sake of singing, phrase it differently. 😉
@@mcflyjp Maybe I overreacted. It is a particular sore point for me. I do have perfect pitch so some misses are sort of painful. I also sometimes stray off the mark while singing, but at least I hear it, lol. I just think artists feel too free to be sloppy, and I take the art seriously. It's not that I expect perfection. One of my objections to auto tune is that it sterilizes sound...but there is a line, subjective to be sure, and it seems to me, a singer with 60 years of intense observation, that the line has become...I dunno, droopy(?) to the detriment of the art.
Please don't listen to the music video version of this, I know she did a lot of the production herself, but it is nowhere near as good as the live version
Cutting fingers off and keeping them in a box implies to me a deranged woman, not a strong woman. Someone plotting to do this wouldn't have a sound objective view of reality, was their ex partner really an abuser or someone who wanted out of a toxic relationship? Think Glen Close the bunny boiler in Fatal Attraction. Love Chinchilla's voice and style of singing but can't get past the lyrics
When someone abuses you time and time again and you break from that FINALLY, this is the attitude you gotta have. She literally says cutting them off and boxing them up so he doesn't hurt anyone else. I think it's pretty straight forward. Abusive relationships aren't just oh he slapped you it's them literally almost beating them to death. Imo, cutting their fingers off is a light sentence. Also usually with that also comes mental abuse; manipulation, making it seem like they will be lost or better off dead without this person in their life.
You don’t even know what she said .. I don’t know who cares about chest voice and head voice but I don’t… you aren’t even aware of what she is singing about

Our daughters need to know there is nothing wrong with a strong woman.
You just gave the best Chinchilla reaction I've seen so far, not just this song only but overall *perfection xo
Wow thank you so much that really means a lot! I'm greatful you enjoyed! More to come!
I can listen to Chinchilla and Caitlyn Curtis all day everyday. Outstanding beautiful voices.
Gotta look up Caitlyn. Never heard that name before.
I agree definitely one of the best vocal performance ever. Subscribed👍🦇
Has to be. The performance in this one was amazing.
She should be a house hold name she is a power house. Love her and your reaction xx
Thanks so much I appreciate that b
Oh wow! Chinchilla and Ren are both crazy talented. What a great reaction focusing on all the little details. I learnt a lot. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed. Much more like that on the channel.
Love Chinchilla and Ren! Big fans of both.
Totally agree on the part that it's criminal that she's not more known. But she's sprinting now!
I feel like 39k subs on RUclips is a bit low for her talent.
@@mcflyjp absolutely! But she was at 5k when I subbed about a month or so ago. So things are moving 🙂
Too late for the live... watching the re-play.
She is soooooooo F-ing talented 🔥🔥🔥
The industry can't handle her talent
Thanks for the Chinchilla reaction I agree after listening to her lyric video of elements and saw how many followers she had I was like wtf the world needs more Chinchilla and to know her.
It is blasphemous she isn't more popular. She should be a household name for sure.
This is a great reaction and the first I've seen to actually bring up the lyrics and really carefully go through them.
To be fair, I didn't at first but realized how important they are.
I've heard the studio version and while that one is really cool also, I love we got a natural look at her voice with this one.
Yup. I'll do whatever it takes to get them outta that situation.
Of all the reactions to this I have watched, your analysis and appreciation of the artistry of this song is definitely the best well done.🦇
Thank you so much! I appreciate that!
It makes life a bit easier when someone is extremely talented. It makes it fun to analyze the artistry.
always enjoy your reactions
Thank you so much!
That "And The Battle Begun" LP did not go unnoticed 😂 Respect!!!
A Person of culture I see! My favorite band is RX. To listen to, see live ( 6x) and play.
Thank you Karah! It's very humbling how quickly the channel is growing and I'm thankful.
Chinchilla is criminally underrated.
@@mcflyjp amen to that sir.
Yesss. Please check out her song ‘Elements’!! 🔥🔥🔥
This one interests me. I'm curious about listening to this one.
@@mcflyjp It says ‘lyric video’ but it’s more like a music video. It has a few hip-hop type vibes.. but it’s another POWER song. Well worth a watch!!
From my understanding she was held back and not happy with record and management companies. Out of them and going fully independent. Little girl gone fully funded by herself from writing to studio to video to dropping it, so happy for little Daisy can take the world by storm on HER terms.
I'm happy for her! She deserves it!
she's a force to be reckoned with vocally and performatively...I think it's interesting that she went out on her own and dropped her label and management.
Agreed. The two end of that spectrum are great through. It's just I prefer emotion over technicality
@@mcflyjp Stevie Ray Vaughn and Tim Henson - polar opposites in technique, but both bring something beautiful and masterful to the guitar technique
FUNNY because I was going to bring up Tim as a technical Master and then Steve Vai as an emotional (albeit technical too) master.
@@mcflyjp entirely deserved juxtaposition - vai also is a master at the old school and the new school
I believe her about cutting my fingers off, run if you do something to her lol
I just won't do anything to her from the start. Crisis averted. 😅
thank you for reacting to my favourite female artist ever ❤❤❤
She's up there for me, at least with her unique attitude and her vocals chops.
Another beautiful reaction man, so good 25:03
Thank you sir! Much appreciated.
Everything she does with her voice is intentional
Idk about every single thing. I mean yes, she did everything in this obviously. But some of it was not calculated or planned, but more sour of the moment.
Nothing is accidental about this performance.
Obviously everything is purposeful because she did them. I just meant the notes were most likely chosen on the spot as opposed to planned before hand.
@McFly JP see her interview with Chris Lieppe a singing coach /reactor. You will learn a lot.
@@lynette. I mentioned in the video that I watched that.
@@lynette. Question for you, are you versed in music at all from a professional standpoint?
I've read somewhere that she makes her own hats. Just as fun fact. 😁
I believe it’s all her own outfits. Which is even crazier.
LESSS GOOO
🙏👍♥️
Running up Chinchilla and all the Reactions for her! Let her voice carry you away! She should do a Duet with Avi Kaplan yo. =)
Haha. That would be an amazing duo holy shit.
Great reaction..
Thank you so much! 🙏
Very knowledgeable brother, awesome
Appreciate that. All the knowledge of music in my brain is finally being out to use.
Please please please teact to Chinchilla ‘Elements’ 🙏🏼 A very overlooked song of hers…
I will do that after I post my "Little Girl Gone" reaction.
The recorded version is awesome too, I love the video to it. You gotta watch both.. I think the breaks in CUT YOUR FING ERS CLEAN OFF kind of represent slicing each finger off, maybe that's just my twisted mind 😅
Definitely makes sense though so I don't think it's too Farfetched.
5he over produced voices sound so weird to the trained ear. Ruins the experience.
Natural is always better.
Do her Cold Water EMA 2020 another great performance
I will add this to the list.
Reaction so nice I watched it twice 😂actually I think this might be my fifth time, but I’ve listened to this song so many times my husband asked me why our 4 year old had been walking around singing about cutting peoples fingers off haha
Same! My daughter runs around singing it and asks to hear it all the time.
And thank you for watching the reaction so many times!!
I love how you broke this song down xx
Thank you very much!
Hi mate, suggestion from reactor to reactor. There's a band named McFLY, they just released a song named "Where did all the guitars go" hope u could react to them, there are many fans lookin for reactions of them so I think many people can come to ur channel. Blessings.
Haha I mean I feel like it's a right of passage for my channel huh?
@@mcflyjp I look up for reaction to McFLY everyday and when you upload a reaction ur videos come out, I just saw some of ur reactions and I think u might like the band.
@@jcreactions well I appreciate you checking me out even though it technically wasn't what you were looking for. Maybe since I just passed 2k subs I'll celebrate by doing a McFly reaction.
@@mcflyjp ty mate I'll be waiting for it =)
There are a lot of vibes here that I think Tori Amos fans might enjoy.
Hmmm. That's actually not a connection I would've made but it is interesting.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👌
1 breath belt omg how???
Because she is a vocal genius!

Uh , Guess you haven't heard LP sing yet check out( lost on you)😊❤
I know of that song. From a songwriting standpoint it's a very cool and unique song. And her voice is also very unique, her vibrato is amazing. I like the bluesy aspects of the song especially in the live version!
Hey dude, i commented on a previous reaction of yours about how we've been fed a diet of formulaic music for the past 2 decades. Just want you to know that the reason she isn't a household name is that the current music industry no longer knows how to deal with talent, they only want to create mostly meaningless content for the masses cos that what they believe brings in the dollars. Makes me very sad😢😊
Yeah. The music companies are just parasites using pretty faces with some talent to shape them according to a template they have
There is an official recorded video of Fingers for comparison - Its a great video but lacks the nuances and depth of the live version. She's incredibly talented ❤
I heard the studio version. While it's vastly different I liked that one as well.
@@mcflyjp I really loved hearing Chinchilla's voice in isolation. I hadn't heard that before with any other reactors. I could listen to you dissect the entire song 😆 It's music to my ears from both sides. I enjoy the more technical musical breakdowns of a track, and your voice is so smoothe 😘😆❤
I'm looking forward to your next
Chinchilla breakdown - Little Girl Gone perhaps? 🤔 🤩
Also just because the notes might be pitchy doesn't mean it's not still great
@@mcflyjp I´m a musician...
Yes!!! When theyre all in their head it seems disingenuine!!
100%. Just let the emotions control your performance.
I think it's funny that men are scared of her. Don't do her wrong and you should have no reason to be afraid 🤷🏼♀️
It's super weird. A lot of other reactions talked about how she is scary or even crazy. I'm just like nah she's a bad bitch.
LOL you said it not me. Let the record show! 🎥
@@mcflyjp I'll say it as much as I need to 😂
The studio version is way too synthesized. This version is much better.
I beg you not to tell people pitch is not important. I beg you.
I admit to nightmares about my darling girl's America's got talent audition.
I'll have to rewatch my video because ei think I was pretty clear about not being technical in spite of emotion but having a good mixture of both.
Well I think it's ok to listen to it to see the difference between the two. I can appreciate both for what they are.
@@mcflyjp ok but I hope you're not too disappointed. I love her voice myself and the Little girl gone is amazing
I don’t know who cares about chest voice and head voice but I don’t… you aren’t even aware of what she is singing about
Lol I (and many others) care about chest voice, head voice, technique, musicality, production, and analysis - things McFly JP likes to cover and he does a great job at it because that's where his expertise lies. There are a lot of different kinds of reactors out there, just pass on by and don't comment to the ones who don't give you what you're looking for :)
You commented on my other video with nonsense too. Thanks for the engagement 😁👍
