Hi Chris I’m not a singer (I wish), but I love music and female singers in particular. I found out about CHINCHILLA via Ren , he was in school with my daughter so I’ve followed him closely for some time. Ren as you know is immensely talented but when I heard CHINCHILLA on Chalk Outlines and How to be Me I fell in love with her. How can you not? This live performance is truly epic. I am 66 so have been listening to female singers for some time, among them Janice Joplin, Maggie Bell, Ann Wilson, Beth Hart, Floor Jansen not forgetting the all time greats Billie Holiday, Aretha, Whitney etc etc. in my humble opinion this young lady has the potential to be in that company if she isn’t already. Also I just want to say I love watching your reactions, I learn so much more about what’s involved and opens up a whole new world to me. Best wishes from Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 UK 🇬🇧

I think we’ve got so used to auto tuned vocals and manufactured music that raw talent has become unusual and an absolute breath of fresh air. This why Chinchilla & Ren are blowing everything out the water. When I’m hearing that AI is now making its mark in music. Thank god we have Ren & Chinchilla!!! 🎉 voices are not meant to be perfect. There is something wonderfully subversive about independent artists, musically rich, lyrically honest and widely shared through Reactors who the "industry" is trying hard to deny them a legitimate income

My playlist was large but had been repeated many many times. I shied away from Hip Hop and Rap or the same old autotune modern music that has no soul ... Then I watched "Hi Ren" ... then Ren with Chinchilla ... now I once again am exploring new music. Your statements of "Expression over Perfection" as well as "They do not pursue goodness at the expense of being truly vulnerable and connected with themselves" holds so true and it is why I now want to find new independent artists. I think with autotuning there is an element of uncanny valley type of reaction to hearing it and it strips the emotion completely out. The imperfections are needed to make it sound real and give it soul. I'm not a singer nor a singing coach and can't analyse it like you do Chris, but there is a kind of organic mix of perfection and imperfection in Chinchilla's voice that makes it so moving. She's not just a singer, she is an artist. I've so missed this in music the last 20 or so years.

You know Chris, when i first saw your reactions I admit I wanted to hate them, but you have me transfixed every time. As a deaf man, I have no choice but try and listen to elements of skillful change in songs, you have helped me hone the skill more - I thank you. This was an excellent analysis of this amazing persons talent, for me at least, her voice changes direction like a flock of birds or a shoal of fish and I LOVE that about her, It gives me something to listen for and I'm NEVER disappointed.

Your reactions do incredible music justice! Thank you! I’ve been listening to her stuff so much that I branch of into reactions and can’t get enough. Chinchilla is a force! Her control, her breathing, all of it so perfect. Chills every time. This woman grabs you by the soul.

Truly amazing artists SHOULD sound better in a live performance than the studio. Her and Ren completely encapsulate this and I'm so glad people are catching onto how amazing they are.

Wow! Only just heard this song for the first time yesterday, well now I’m not sure I can go back to the studio version after that amazing performance. And a superb vocal reaction making it even more interesting for those of us who know nothing about singing but love music. I just love how uninhibited you are with your facial and vocal expressions, which shows just how passionate you are about music and which connects you strongly to us guys. Just loved everything about this reaction.

I'm sooooo excited to see that you're reacting to this song. Chinchilla is an excellent artist and I hope she gets all the exposure she deserves as this is the heart and soul of what mainstream music is missing these days.

This is my new favorite live female performance ever... it overtook my previous title holder, "My Mind (Live at Sofar)" by Yebba.
I have searched your archives & have found no reactions of Yebba... I would absolutely LOVE to see you analyze her performance of "My Mind". She is an amazing, soulful vocalist & I think you will find a lot to bite into with her charismatic performance.
