Just got the Arrma Granite and thanks for the help ! I'm a newbie and now finding out that the battery is the number one thing to properly take care of! Keep up the good work! You are number 1 on my list!
Great video with one caveat regarding the wireless signaling. The transmitter is constantly sending control signals to the receiver and in turn the receiver is always sending pulses to the connected devices. This is important because without a constant stream of control signals, the devices can release their position holding power. Worst, the radio receiver might sense some other radio signal and send incorrect controls to the devices. High end receivers have a failsafe mode it will go into when it loses the transmitter data stream and it will put the devices into the defined position based on the failsafe settings.
Good video, I was hoping to get a better understanding about signals and channels. Its interesting that hobby grade systems have 3 options per channel, but toy grade systems do not. Toy grade RC systems have 4 channel by default and hobby grade has 2 plus pulse modulation.
Are receivers pretty much universal as far as size, fitment, and functionality? I could buy a spectrum transmitter/receiver combo and use them on/in a helion car?
Is it possible to pair 2 receivers to a single transmitter? Just for clarification, not to drive at the same time but to be able to drive 2 separate cars, at different times.
Great videos! I was wondering if someone could explain in simple terms what the purpose/advantage of a high voltage receiver is? I was going to get at Tactic TTX300 transmitter when I noticed you can get it with either the TR325 receiver or the TR326 high voltage receiver. Both are the same price.
I want to replace the transmitter and receiver for my Kyosho Fazer Mk2 Mercedes GT3 rtr, so I can instal lights and sirens. Which one do you recommend? Thank you and awesome content!
Im guessing its signal strength determined by the quality of the radio components on the TX and RX circuits. Some radios are faster than others by milliseconds.
What happens if my boat is running at full throttle, and goes out of transmitter range? Does it automatically stop, or continue on at full throttle until impact?
Hi, when I turn on my car after a few seconds the servo starts turning and the throttle goes up by itself as well. The lights on my controller start blinking fast. Is it a faulty receiver?
I just got a Trmt8 v2 redcat and i turned it on for the 1st time and the steering doesnt do anything when i try to steer. The throttle works as it goes forward and backwards but moving the steering knob does nothing. Any idea why? Its a brand new rc car.
Im trying to get a better understanding. Here is what I have learned, for your basic channel 1 and 2 the TX uses something called PWM. Each channel has a degree of power it sends based on how much of the wave is ON. So if you pull your trigger a little bit, your motor will get that little bit of speed based on the amount of ON waves its gets. The motor will got full power when the wave is on 100 percent. The direction the motor spins in is determine by the 3 wires that go into the receiver the red, black and white wire.
No, normally all receivers and esc's connectors are standardised to be compatible with each other. Both brushed and brushless ESC can run on the same receiver. However, you have to keep in mind that ESC specifically designed for brushed motors can't run brushless motors. I believe the same goes the other way around but I am not sure. I would 100% recommended brushless motor+esc combo.
From local hobby shops in your area. However, if you are unable to find one or if it is too far from your location you could check out the following online rc distributeurs : rcmart, amainhobbies, towerhobbies and mibosport. Those distributors have a massive inventory of all sorts of rc cars and rc equipment and they ship worldwide.
You are the first person on youtube to answer questions i have been looking for. Thanks mate

Thank you for mentioning the binding of the receiver and radio. I don't like surprises.
You are the best RC person ❤❤

I learned something. Thanks 👌🏼
I so happy because i found your channel

Great video, thank you very much for the information.

Question, what determines the speed in which the transmitter talk to the receiver back and forth.?

King 👑
So if u have lights in the 3rd channel how do u turn them on and off?
Thanks
if you get a 3ch system can you only use 2 ch an it will be fine?
Can you recommend an RC radio for me? I was thinking the DX5R. Or Dx5pro
How can you detect a radio control transmitter channel signal operation strength and frequency with a meter?
Great video my friend, great Tips 👍😁👍
great video keep them coming
Thanks for watching Jim Carroll !

spektrum DX4C radio is pretty good especially for the price and the radio is water proof can't go wrong for $100

He sounds like Astronaut Scott Kelly. Thanks for the video
I’m looking to find out how many channels I need.
Just two but depending what you need it for sometimes tree
austar ax5s reverse not working on rc controller . Help
Hello i have hpi I carnt get going properly could you help please
Chanel one, is for wheee you one t it to go 👍🏻
How a radio system work is not explained in this video, only what each component does.

dose a RC receiver have to be specifically for brushed or brush-less ESCs?

Rc battery and Rc Nitro can use same remote???
👍
i broke my remote do i need to buy a hole new set
aaron palomera No just buy a new remote and u can bind the controller to the receiver
My controller is missing
I just got a fucking barbie doll toy add on this video. What the hell
