I love how these are given time to do their little jingles. In ultimate it feels like everything is rushed to be uniform with everything else in the game

I love how the orchestrating of the trumpets (or trombones) in Kirby's theme make it sound like the song played after a big joke. It makes you wonder if Sakurai KNEW how trash he was making Kirby in Melee
While I think Brawl has the best Original OST themes (Stage Builder, Title Theme, Main Menu, Tabuu to name a few), I think Melee has the best versions of Victory themes for all the characters in the game.
Because they shortened everyone's theme in Ultimate. They couldn't shorten ness' because it was way too beautiful, so they changed it and made it crap. I'm okay with the brawl and 4 one anyway, but I still believe that they needed to keep the melee theme for all games
there's something so nostalgic about the brass instrumentation of melee songs. like, the earthbound and fire emblem themes are nostalgia at its finest. especially for me considering i was a roy/marth and ness main lmao.
