  • In what I found to be a very insightful interview, legendary climbers Kai Lightner and Alex Honnold sit down to discuss the concept of the arrival fallacy and its impact on their lives and careers. Despite achieving remarkable milestones in the climbing world, both athletes reveal the sense of dissatisfaction that can follow even the most significant accomplishments.
Kai Lightner opens up about his personal experiences with the arrival fallacy, sharing how it affected his mental and emotional well-being. Alex Honnold joins the conversation, offering his perspective on finding true fulfillment beyond accolades and achievements.
Watch as these two climbing icons delve into:
    - The psychological challenges of achieving high-level goals.
    - The journey to understanding and overcoming the arrival fallacy.
    - Practical advice on finding lasting happiness and contentment.
    - How to cultivate a fulfilling life beyond external success.
This candid discussion provides valuable insights for anyone striving for greatness in any field, emphasizing the importance of inner satisfaction and ongoing personal growth.

Kai is such an example of someone who strives to be his best, both on and off the rock. It's both humbling and motivating!

Great clip, relevant topic to any human being. Will check out the full interview. Kai is one of my climbing role models and cool to see him continuing to grow considering his success already

Seems like an intrinsically human thing to adjust quickly to ‘new normals’. It protects us in times of intense hardship because it enables us to endure almost anything, but it does blunt things when we achieve growth and success. At least being aware of this allows you to recognise, objectively, doing well.

Kai seems like the Alex Hamilton of climbing. Really great human being! Or maybe Hamilton is the Kai Lightner of climbing! 😅
