"A grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain't" -- Lucky Costas. Words I live by.
28:19 🤣🤣👍 You amaze me; that rear wheel steer solution was ingenious. I love your sense of humor and personality. This channel rocks. Thanks Capt. 👍
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍That’s the dammedest ‘ thing I’ve seen in a while !! Keep up the good work !! No attention to the keyboard winers !!
The smile says success. 😃😀
Well done Captain.
I have to commend you Mike. No matter what the keyboard warriors say, you are doing it! You are doing what most people just talk about. From shrewd beginnings comes knowledge that leads to a wealth of useful information! I love your slogan “ I’m not a welder, i just own one”! Great job Captain!
I appreciate that
Totally agree with your sentiment David, after all if it wasn't for the Captain's in this world where would we be. There would have been no industrial revolution and we're all still be living in caves!
welding, cutting, painting. 4 wheel steer and the River chair too.
Welding has gotten a great deal better. Looking great.
Thanks 👍
MBTS would be proud of your welding skills. Great project.😀
Great fun, Mike…looking forward to more! Thanks!
Never doubted it for a moment. Genius entertainment with belly laugh asides. There’ll be a million of us before you know it, Cap’n.
Congrats Captain! What a milestone, to get the 4 wheel steering operable and the Fubaru moving on it's own power!
Yes indeed!
"Fubaru". Great name, I love it...
Fubaru is a perfect name. Bet you can get some decals from C&C.
Got a good laugh outta me, Fubaru is the perfect name for this thing
FUBAR U. Def. Captain + questioable parts+a little imagination+ some self deprication over the effective use of a welder... "I am Not a welder, I just own one".
Naysayers, get over yourselves. The man puts out some really funny interesting stuff...so shut up and listen with your ego turned off.
I love the sideways driving, which should come in handy for parallel parking between trees😂 Great job Mike!!👍🇺🇸
Thanks 👍
That has to be the funnest toy ever!
Awesome! See nothing but fun out of that thing.
Did driving that feel like the back of a ladder truck, except someone else drives the front. You’re getting it done!
Life's short, so have at er. This is coming from a guy that turned 70 his last birthday and is still saying, what the, why I can't believe...., how in the world !?!?!?!?! Have fun and just live it to the fullest. Bless you young man and keep it right side up. Thanks for having fun for all of us. John here, from the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee.
💪
Dang!!!!She works!!!!!
You continue to impress. If there’s ever a zombie apocalypse I sure hope I’m on your team
It's a tough application process
added meaning to the statement "learning curve". What fun.
Your ingenuity is top notch and astounding. That is pretty flipping cool.
Thanks!
Great progress on your vehicle. Always a joy watching the progress and all the step’s in building your project. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I keep telling people how great those purple stripper disk are
Pretty awesome
You Certainly Have a Steady Torching Hand, very nice Stance and Stellar Technique Captain. Welding, Cutting & Fabricating Skills for Days! 😁.
Now That looks fun! Your Kids will love to drive it too! And, your wife... Ron...
You never cease to amaze me with your projects Captain.
💪
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Liked you t- shirt idea, had one to add, I don’t worry about overspray, just underspray. Wishing you and your family the best.
It's great to do fun projects too like the vehicle , as well as practical ones like the coop and goat barn and money makers like the boat rental. Looks like a great diversion.
I would love to see this put in a car show at some point in the future
🤣
If you can’t have fun with the hobby you have chosen, why do it. I like it. Thanks for the ride along (literally)😊😂
We've all been waiting for this one. I certainly enjoyed the ride along. Silly AND fun. Congrats
Thanks!
Captain,
That is amazing!!
Stay Safe Brother!!
That 4-wheel steering is wild, Mike! Glad you’re having fun!
I am!
That’s why we do crazy stuff , to learn and have fun. I think he has fun even when he’s working, l always did.
You are having way too much fun doing this but enjoy your having fun that's all that matters cheers Jill Australia 💕🐨
Appreciate ya watching
Watching that thing crab is hilarious
Another reason to grin.... FordAru moves like an animal !!
Good matching the two halves together, never knew paint could run marathon to cover up the welding!!!
The way you handled the steering, you should put in for a tiller driving course 🤔🤣
You really learned how to weld pretty darn good, you carry a good bead, and your little buggy seems to work great, I say great job Mike
Thanks Allen
"made it up as i went" as all good home projects run. :)
Mike, you genius! You were laughing so much and I was laughing out loud! The noise helped!
Hilarious..Best wishes, Jerry..UK
Thanks 👍
I was looking for rc videos, and seeing someone actually do this and be just a normal everyday civilian is awesome. Definitely wanna see the updates
Kleeman's got a crab walker! Congrats
💪
That thing is going to be a blast when it's done!!!! Great job Captain 👍
Thanks!
The Frankenmobile lives! Awesome
What a blast to work and drive. Great job!
in r/t the winch.....at first i didn't have a clue what you were doing and/or why. after you did what you did.....i knew! looks like you were having fun driving around, and your smile was contagious!!!
Love this build. Watching you crab walk was funny. Keep up the good work.
What a nice buggy!
I love your fortitude!!!!!!!
Thanks!
Captain Kleeman, you don't need rock sliders. You need tree sliders .😉😅😅😅😅🤣🤣
With that valley between the rear tires it looks like a good tree dragging machine. 🤔
🤣🤣 rub rails will be a necessity
thats just the coolest thing ever. give matt a run for his money. lol. well done and a great time. cheers captain.
Thanks!
You are having WAY TOO MUCH FUN!!! I'm think I need to build some thing like that. The wife and do a lot of ATVing, Looks Fun!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Struth Captain that was fun ,the video few by ready for the next part. You don't need L plates on it. Just have your fun and take me a long with you. Thank you Captain
Okay, now I’m ready for the first Captain Kleeman-Wesley Kagen collaboration. Just put you two in a shop to build anything with a camera rolling. Your Channel is pure joy!
Appreciate ya watching!
@@CaptainKleeman subscribed to your wife’s channel too!
Ahoy Captain... Thanks for sharing... Been enjoying the build... Keep up the fine work sir... 🤣🤣🤣
My Dad was a painter. He said many times, "Paint hides a multitude of sins." And, "Beat it to fit, paint it to match." Job well done, Mike.
Thank You! I have not laughed so hard in years! That is the coolest project I have ever seen!
Thanks!
Most excellent cribbing job at 19:57! 😅 What a fun project.
Great job ! Just be careful ! You are having way too much fun with this build. As much as I am watching it. I like the way you think.
Thanks 👍
That's brilliant Mike 👏👏👏
Your having fun and learning at same time
💪
I see a rudder position meter being installed on the dashboard in the near future! So you can see where you are probably going ;-) Awesome job!
Old expression: Beat to fit, paint to match. You're making such a cool project!
Awesome video buddy keep up the great concert and I'll keep watching that things will be a lot of fun to drive around I'll tell you that 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sir. You are a natural! Like you pick the spot to heat up and fold. Further saw you ,,stretching,, steel plates. A dying bread who know how to heat up a plate of steel and get the dents out by heating one side and cooling the other to get it flat.
Awesome! Pro tip, mother always said never weld with holes in your jeans- get one of those hot berries in there and it will certainly get your undivided attention!
This was hilarious- great job captain you got a laugh out of a grumpy old man - thanks
Thanks!
Ha finally driving! Cool ride! Lot of work and ideas and it paid off! Congrats! 👌👌👍🏻😎
Thanks 👍
Barrett Jackson here we come. Very nice
Lol
Nothing ventured, nothing gained! You don't know, until you try! He who says it can not be done, should not get in the way of he who is doing it! Some of the great axioms that come to mine as I watch you on this project! Great video, Mike! Lee
Appreciate ya watching
Your having to much fun, I love that idea of yours for the rear steer, that was awesome.
Thanks 👍
Well if nothing else your getting plenty of weld time practice on the ol frankenmobile… love your ingenuity brother !
Yahoo mountain dew!!! Mint❤️👍😁
💪
Absolutely awesome Captain, can't wait for the next episode and seeing her finished
Mike, it must be a huge reward to take an idea, do some intricate fabricating and have it actually operate. You are an inspiration. Blessings to you.
💪
It's alive! Now that is exactly what happens in 'paddock bashing' - fall off the back of the ute/truck into the mud here in Aus. Fun on wheels that are eady for the scrap heap - loved it.
Definitely having a good time!
Okay, I have to admit, as soon as you were taking that test drive at the abandoned property, I couldn't stop laughing. That was hilarious, especially when you ran into the tree. So much fun to watch Mike, keep up the great content.
More to come!
That was fun to watch, looking forward to the Mrs. taking a spin with you 😂
You and me both!
LMAO. Hope MBTS is there when you drive it up to Mike's place and have it crabbing. Especially if they don't know you're coming. Heck, maybe Clint and Kevin will be there too.
need to get officer hoover to approve the all wheel steering lol loven it all
I love it! Perfect project, as it did what you wanted - learn new skills and have fun. Excellent!
Love the 4 wheel steer yard buggy will be a blast coordinating that lol, that’s what life’s all about, great video
Thanks 👍
Never thought it was going to drive, really top man like we say hats off in the Netherlands.👍
Thanks!
Would be cool to separate the winch buttons and set up a lever in the cab so if you move the lever to the right the rear goes right and vice versa. Much easier to control. Looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing.
Appreciate ya watching
Not worried about over spray,
Not like it's a Corvette 😂
Looks like a smart car 👍
Ouch I fall down 😂
Tree,tree,TREE 🤯!!!!!
When you got her//it going.... your smile was priceless! Have fun be safe.
See ya in the next 555 videos, or whatever you throw at us, always appreciate it!
Hi Hi Captain, good morning from Jamaica 🇯🇲. Now I know am in for some fun
This project is just so much fun to watch...
💪
You done 'er bud. I'd love to see the expression on an alignment guy's face if you were to pull it into a shop. 😆 too much fun.
Now that is EPIC 🎉 😮 that will look awesome with a bed on it
Thanks!
Your "rear wheel" steering project is awesome. I (& probably many others) would never have thought about it, or tried it. I enjoy your comments during your videos - some crack me up i.e. "I'm not a welder, I just own one". Keep your videos coming - thanks for sharing.
The CK-1 side-by-side: where Mad Max meets RatRods. Keep on keeping on with the fun!
I love it, athletic paint. You are very creative. I expect to see a flux capacitor next!
🤣🤣
It needs a turbo first, so it can get 88mph in under 6 seconds
Awesome! Next a 4x4 with 4 wheel steering! How about a gauge or camera inside the cab that shows you which direction the wheels are? I would recommend the rear steering frame be turned around 180 degrees to keep the caster angle correct.
You’ve invented a sidewinder. I am half expecting a n appropriate snake motif. Fun!
Hey Mike, female fella here and I was wondering if anyone ever told you that look exactly like a young Dana Carvey the comedian lol. Love your Channel! ❤️
Hey definitely appreciate the support. I'll take the Dana carvy comment as a compliment
As I've said before, your welding is better than some so called professionals that I have seen. Also for you this is your play project, which may I say is really enjoyable to watch and something Mad Max would be proud of. Really liking your rear wheel steering option, think Ford and Saburu should add it to all there models. 🤗
That’s fantastic!!!! And even parked it in the garage 👍
💪
6:52 this is precisely why I try and not comment before a video’s finished. I had something in mind already to type
🤣
Hey Mike if you were to install a cross bar under the steering column back of the steering wheel and use it to steer the rear wheels you should be able to control your turning a bit easier
Your welding is steadily improving as well your confidence....
Vertical welds are challenging.... watch you puddle more closely and don't rush it.... may have to adjust temperature and or slow down application/side too side sweeps ...
Practicing different application techniques will help you with appearance and strength of final weld...
Very cool little yard truck ... fun to see it come together...
