Look at a copy of Great Irish Houses and Castles by Desmond Guinness published around 1991 - it has photographs of the beautiful interiors and the place furnished and in good condition. Sad what's become of it.
It is a shame that this property is left to decay, when people are going to France to save the historic buildings there. Is Ireland the same as England, property is far too expensive to purchase and to bring these old estates back to life? You only have to look at what Rochdale CC has done to Hopwood Hall, taking it out of Hopwood Depree's hands after he has spent the last 4 or 5 years working to restore the Hall. That is another disgrace.
Yes, property is massively expensive here. Land and property hoarding is a huge problem. Currently, over ten thousand people are homeless in Ireland. A disgrace. We just voted for more of the same in the recent elections
@EireAir 9 yrs of Trudeau, he has tripled our population, sent costs up, and our $ down. Houses in all major cities are out of reach for the average person. The houses in our city are still reasonable prices.
Its now owned by the Glennon Brothers. Timber merchants. They appear to be hoarding the land now. They should be paying vacant property tax on this or it should be accuired by the state. A national disgrace
What a terrible waste of a beautiful property 😞 unbelievable history behind it. Fantastic flight. 👍🏻
Yes, such a waste. Thanks for the kind words.
My heart cries for such a beauty
Its always sad to see these buildings go to waste. But great flying my friend 😊👍
Thanks for the kind words.
@EireAir you are very welcome, have a great night 👍👍

That would of been gorgeous in its hay day
Who were the original owners of this lovely old house?
How come it was allowed to get into the state that it is in now?
A brief history of the house is given in the description

@@EireAir agreed, they should be paying vacant property tax
@@EireAir they can well afford to fix it up the hounds and they should be boycotted until they do.
