Jason’s backing vocals on “MASTER MASTER!” is still my favorite part about his time in Metallica
His creeping death vocals are insane too
Oh man the double bass... It would be even better if Jason and Rob would both be bass at the same time for new songs
roberts absolute hardcore headbanging while wearing fancy clothes is so fucking funny
former members inducted and perform on stage as well. Imagine Megadeth
I just can say ... Awesome Jason and Robert. All together Metallica rule man !
That’s one Hell of a Dinner show!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMES 🎉
Played this at max volume at 2 in the morning on my laptop. My dad kicked my door open and said he'll disown me if I don't connect my laptop to the sound system.
Relax it’s only Metallica, your not that hardcore lol
You had us in the first half ngl🤣🤣
@@boratsagdiyev9262 guys we found the cool tough guy. He listens to heavier stuff and wants us to know.
Yes, it is true, i was your father
Happy Birthday, King Hetfield 🎉🎉🎉
When you feel useless, think about Kirk’s backing vocal…..
Surprised Lars didn't turn Jason amp off
lol
Why do they still talk down on Rob man he’s an amazing dude and a goat bass player smh
Jason was a beast on live performance and backing vocals and cliff was just an all around god level bassist, rob is an amazing bassist as well absolutely but people are always gonna compare him because he didn't play for metallica in their prime
I don't know about all that goat business but I've never heard anyone say anything bad about him.
Metallica is eternal 🤘🤘
Was 2009 the very last time they ever played In standard tuning ??? 🥺💔
Imagine if Cliff came alive from his corpse here. A deadly bass attack with this song.
5.09. Jason takes over, and James miss it..
Everyone forgets that Kirk was also doing backing vocals at a few moments, and he got completely drowned out by both Jason and Rob, just like Jason’s bass on AJFA
I wish I could rehearse with him on some vocal stuff. I could seriously help him.
They should have invited that Dave guy and played The Mechanix too
I feeling Cliff here and 6 members all here.
happy b day hetfieldd
6:47 hahahah pd: papa james
Jason made the show ! Stole the show !
No doubt cliffs spirit was in that stage
2024 anyone?
0:25
To quote Bevis, "Lars, set you ass down."
Its like they messed up a prom or something
A good HOF performance for once
Voice crack?
Rush
i bet they hate this. way fasst
I find so dumb that people like jay z get inducted in the rock and roll hall of fame
fuck Hetfield has no voice left whatsoever ... juss wish they hired someone for vocals man
@Nichols No More - You DON'T replace Hetfield with someone with
better vocals - He IS Metallica. They would have to disband/retire.
Kirk and Rob would go on to be in other bands. Sad.
He didn't get to warm up for this performance.
It's cool to see Jason and Robert playing bass together on the same stage
Je ne serai pas devenu fan avec Newsted
Combined their bass playing was able to resurrect the sounds of Cliff from the dead.
I prefer only Jason on stage with Metallica
Unplugged Jason, Robert has bass. Also is the tempo slow, then speed. or is it me
While most band now ridiculized their induction, like the Pistols, Van Halen and so more that just didnt play or even show up.
Those were all there.
They part their way and still respect each others and all of them reunit one time, for a special ocassion.
They actually acted like responsable adults, not some cry babies eated by ego
It's funny see them wearing elegant clothes while they playing Master Of Puppets
Its like van full of stoners going to the prom.
Me too , I noticed it 😂
This is them more dressed up than during either S&M concert!
I was 18 when this album came out. I had long hair and ripped jeans. I'm old now but ill never forget those days
I bet those were good times. I’m also 18...kinda wish I was a teen in the 80s
Age is but a number brother!!!! As I always say... "I may be 45 years old, but I'm forever21!"
sir you are a legend
i’m 19 with long hair and ripped jeans
I was 16, just old enough to cruise the strip with this cranked up all the way! I blew at least one pair of Sparkomatics with this song
Robert & Jason sound like rolling thunder! I love this
Jason backing vocals 🔥
Lucky they didn't perform CREEPING DEATH. Jason couldn't have controlled his urge. 😂😂
JASON
He didn’t miss a beat
6:48 james' soul scaped from his body
James Hetfield is the only singer I've heard to change it up a bit when live and it's still sounds awesome.
And I'm not just saying that cuz they're my favorite band 😑
Nice to see All members here.. R.I.P Cliff Burton
All? Where is Dave?
@@sandervc5271 well..yes he was a member but i dont think he counts as a member of the classic line up..he deserve his own induction as the founding member of Megadeth though.
@@sandervc5271 not only Dave, everybody forgets about Ron McGovney
@@_ecp0801_ thing with him was he never received writing credit on any songs, even on the demos, and he was out even before Dave
Performing the title track of an album released in 1986, and its vicious power remains undimmed
Cool! Now I can't hear 2 bass players! :) But seriously, this was pretty awesome.
Two bass players caused the bass to actually be heard.
Amazing how horribly most of their music is mixed!
these people really sitting down at dinner tables eating a fine meal while master of puppets is playing
Hope it's breakfast served on a mirror 😀
@@vishnuravi1203 god no :)))
6:47 james wtffff
im raping this timestamp button and im laughing so hard 🤣🤣🤣
Two bassists. Am I the only one wondering what would happen if they played on AJFA together?
Jason was beast for Bass and Back up vocals🤟🤟🤟
They really did not give James to warm up his voice
Seeing Jason playing with them again and having fun is so kickass to see
I'm sure lars was stoked to have all that bass audible, lars loves bass
Jason rules!!!
Great to see Jason up there...He also killed it at the 2011 30th anniversary gigs in SF..RIP Cliff Burton
so amazing to see jason and rob together. but it's funny lars gets so much hate when you have james singing like this lolol
and they say that that was super performance 🤣
it makes me sad that does kids dont know late '80 and early' 90 of metallica
I think they performed without warmups and it was during the morning/day. Only times ive seen James’s voice like this is when they perform in the mornings or early in the day (like Howard Stern)
what ?? he is not a great singer anyway, but its not like he sounds this off usually,
lars on the other hand... especially at this time period, dude was butchering it all over the place
Go and see Taylor Swift then ...
@@bootyshortsband exactly. Are you 🫣?!
James's voice is not so hot one this one. Kinda sad but good that he has gotten better over the years.
i think he didint have proper warm up before going on the stage and master of puppets without vocal opening is quite challenging
Kirk Hammett is badass
Wait….I can hear bass! So they needed two bassists all along? 😂😂😂😂
Metallica rocks!! I love Master of Puppets!!🎤🎸🎵🥁
Best song ever, anyone else hear the squeaky palm mute,on the string.sounds like a squeaky ball,I can't unhear it either now I've heard it.
Sounds like it was James alot of times he stopped playing seemed like he was actually getting tired
if you pick at an angle u can hit the wound part of the string and cause the squeaky sound
missing Cliff there... it would be a ride...
I keep seeing comments like these, yet 90% of Metallica fans never seen cliff play with the band.
Happy Birthday Mr. James Hetfield!
Too fast than usual.
Oh yeah, the adrenaline rush.
Remains cool, regardless.
HOF induction is only the beginning, apparently. Six years later, the album was added to the Library of Congress, so far the first and only album under the thrash metal genre.
These guys aged really well
MASTERPIECE !
The middle section just makes the song genius for me
Same here. Going from this fast thrash sound to a beautiful, slow pace with harmonizing guitars just makes the song even more amazing. Been listening to these guys for close to 30 years and this is still my favorite song from them. Love it so much.
This is the exact video of this song I have in my Spotify playlist and have been looking for it for months now 😭😭💜
Jason is badass af and iconic of Metallica. He shouldn't have left
Management wouldn't let him do his projects. He's happier this way
@@melkor77751 management was ok with that but James was not..
Agreed nightmare..It ain;t the same w out JASONIC !
@@melkor77751 fue un despido encubierto. James no quiere que nadie lo opaque
I would be even coller if there was even Cliff Burton
Kirk's solo at 5:30..Jason looks like he should have never left the band...I loved him even more than Cliff
Nobody:
That one floorboard when I try to sneak back in at 3AM: 6:48
Adoro o Robert, mas o Jason combina muito mais com o MetallicA ..
Fato
7:43 that evil laugh
JASOOOON ON BASSSSSSSSS!!!
🤘🔥🤘🔥💀🔥🤘🔥🤘
What happened to your voice james?James?? Hahahaha
Amazing to both Jason and Robert playing together with the family Jason always wanted them to be!!
James voice though.. LOL
I miss Jason!
LEGENDS,ICONS!!!!!!!!!
0:11 who moaned😂
Kirk looks badass looks kinda like a hitman
THOSE GUYS ARE METALLICA FAMILY
I love You Guys ... since i was in Senior High School in 1990 until rest of my life
First time i saw your live performance in 1993 at Lebak Bulus Stadion in Jakarta 🇮🇩
Hey James I Hope that you'd still Alived and give us HEEAAVVVYYYY
i think its kirks pick u here the whole time i dont think he warmed up his down picking XD
They look do cool playing while in suits lol
Only thing that possibly could've made this better is if they'd given Ray Burton a mic and let him scream "MASTER!" at least once.
jason looks like he's taking a dump. i love it.
What a great birthday gift to ME!! Thank you!! :)
What The hell
Metallica in jumpsuit
They suck on the one ! LOL
Very cool 😎 performance!
James sings better now than he did then
This performance he didn't get any time to warm up
Definitely. His voice was solid on DM but the late 00's and early 10's live performances had kinda weak vocals. Significantly improved post Hardwired.
watch any 2019 performances and you can see how much better james sounds than he did here lol
Wow his voice was shot from the Death Magnetic tour
Mannequins stuck in their chairs
Tons of pick squeak, but i can't play it.
History moment of Metallica story and all fans
I was there!!!🤘😈
Master.......
Kirk is badass!!
Audience shocked!!! 😂😂😂😂
Can we f hear the bass for once on live smh???
Rob should have let Jason do all the back up vox, same thing happened at the 30anniv, Rob still did the vox, I love Rob dont get me wrong, but for the 10 minutes or so, wouldnt have hurt
Quem esta entrando metal agora e ver esse video, so consigo imaginar se perguntando "porque o metalica tem 2 baixistas?" kakakkakakakkakakak
Sound like the audio was weak and James couldn’t throw his voice like he normally would. Also is it me or is it hard to watch them when they’re in suits and ties. I mean just look at Lars. Then again I will always love them.
