  • Calling all golfers! If you want to take your pitching skills to the next level and impress your golf buddies, you won't want to miss this video.
    Learn the most common mistakes golfers make when pitching and how to fix them, so you can start pitching like a pro. I’m going to show you their secrets and give you the tools to perfect your own technique.
    In this video I take you through ‘3 SIMPLE STEPS’ that will transform your short game.
    STEP1 starts with a great “SET UP” - that’s your foundation! Without that your pitching is DOOMED!
    STEP 2 is all about “GETTING ON PLANE!” You don’t have time to compensate with a pitch shot so your success depends on finding the right corridor! Leverage the club the RIGHT WAY - I’ve got a drill that NOBODY is talking about online that will get you the correct feel for HOW MUCH you should hinge on a standard pitch! You’ll be on plane every single time!
    STEP 3 is all about the “THROUGH SWING!” What are the most common faults that I see? And, HOW can you avoid them? And, what should you FEEL! The answer is very simple and might surprise you!
    Enjoy the video and thanks for watching!
    Best, Coach A. ⛳️🏌️‍♂️🙏🏻

    Love the way you explain the swing. Where were you 50 years ago when I started this game. Your videos have caused me to change my thinking and the way I use my body to play golf. Cudos for you. Best wishes on your instructions.

    This has really helped me from 50 yards and in, I was guilty of taking too much of a backswing and de accelerating in the down swing, did some practice and took it to the course today and wow! Can't thank you enough Coach A for this lesson. Cheers from Nova Scotia…MikeR. (PS. I play off a 10 handicap and really don’t know how I got there without this..lol😂.)

    Thank you for nailing the key points and keeping it simple. I really had the affinity of the point you made about giving some space between the hands and the right hip at the end of the backswing. I tend to keep it jammed which in my opinion causes me to hit the toe of the club head. My hands are so close to my body the only thing left is the toe. #causeANDeffect

      Have an awareness of the distance between your lead shoulder and the clubhead! I can’t tell you how many golfers shorten that radius at the point of collision!
      Stay tall keeping your chest up and feel your arms relax and extend past the ball!! Practice swings with ‘intent’ should be part of your routine. Always brushing the grass towards your lead foot!! Good luck!

    Looks like your cuppy with your left wrist here on the backswing. No twisting the shaft on the downswing and keep the face facing the sky or are you still twisting the shaft on the thru swing? Thanks as always!

    • @AndrewEmeryGolf
      @AndrewEmeryGolf  Месяц назад +1

      No twisting for this shot! Holding the club face open utilizes the bounce and maintains loft for high soft pitches!

      The artistry with pitching is in the hands!! - Traditional grip for this shot. Save the palm grip for chipping and putting. Thanks for watching!

    Excellent video one of the best I’ve seen on short pitching. Would’ve liked to known what Club you were using from the role I figured about a pitching wedge?

    • @AndrewEmeryGolf
      @AndrewEmeryGolf  Год назад +1

      Thanks Randy! Appreciate the compliment. Like everything with golf their are nuances based on the trajectory you wish to hit the shot. These were hit with my 60 degree but you would do just as well with a 54/56 degree to a middle/ back pin. Keep it simple and get after it! Best, Coach A. 🏌️‍♂️⛳️🙏🏻

    Great video! What ideas do you recommend for getting good at pitching different distances, such as say 10,20, 30 & 40 yards? For example, is it better to use the same half swing but use different clubs, or would you use the same club but swing faster to increase length etc.?

    that 'collapse' look seems to have been a popular style in the past. i have the Dave Pelz short game bible and lots of images of the bent knees swivelling around look. seems collapsey to me. seems like a lot of body english with that approach.

    • @AndrewEmeryGolf
      @AndrewEmeryGolf  Год назад

      If you put a line above my head you can clearly see I’m working UP above that line as soon as I make contact and not collapsing! You had me for a minute! I believe it’s very important to not collapse and to maintain length. If I’m collapsing - I ain’t seeing it!
      Having said that I’m always grateful for comments - even if I respectfully disagree. Thanks for watching.

    holy smokes I like your videos on increasing club head speed with hands arms wrists but this one is too much info for a short chip shot. I lock my arms to my body and rock and twist with my knees and legs. Arms hands locked to body this gives me a quarter very low back swing on coming back i allow my arms to unlock at impact and follow thru.I started doing this recently and I now feel very confident with 40 yards on in to edge of green. I use 7, 8,9 pw depending on distance. If I am just off the green I never unlock arms all movement created by one knee beding in and one leg straightening

    Illusive refers to illusions. Obviously, you don't want any illusions in your golf game. You meant to write "elusive."

    • @AndrewEmeryGolf
