I feel stupid for not knowing any of this. My goofy ass has been just struggling to trace over my sketch with a pen tool and thinking it looks crap. Thanks a bunch!
ahaha thank you so much!! I love this program and I wanna help people get the hang of it! It’s so much cheaper than photoshop and has so many cool features!!
That was so to the point, helpful, and really entertaining to watch!! My new tab should be arriving any day now and I'm so excited that I keep watching tuts and whatevers. So glad I stumbled upon this! Subbed!
Apparently you don't have to !! --ish This video is like, 2 years old, and since then CSP has made some updates. I've just tested it now, and I discovered you can adjust the width of the line (make it thicker or thinner) using the Adjust Line tool on a raster layer. Although, you'd still have to use a vector layer to use the other tools (like moving or changing the lines! )
OMG! This was so helpful! thank you so much! you answered the exact question I was searching an answer for in a few minutes along with a few other tips! (like drawing lineart on vector layer. I didn't know that!)
I've been having issues with the correct line width brush tool thing, it really breaks down the integrity of curved lines for me, especially if I'm drawing with shapes. Maybe I need to use a bigger brush size like you are using here. Good video anyway. Thanks.
you sound v young so it makes me feel v old but ty for your tips, they’re v helpful!! i now know how my parents feel when i teach them basic stuff like turning capslock off lmao
Omg this is brilliant thank you! Also what is your brush setting for the Pencil R1 I’ve been trying to create a similar brush like that to use but none of them are what I really like.
just wanna ask if you've already figure it out? i'm looking for a brush setting that relies on the pen pressure, kinda like a brush pen? but has a rough, noise like texture.

Hello! I'm new with art and csp and everythig ..hkjveg I was wondering when you were doing the lineart (starting at 0:24) do you manually change the sizes or setting for each strokes depending on how you want them thick? On your lineart's bangs for example.. you stroke once and it becomes thick in the middle instead of just having the thickness of one stroke the same all throughout.. Hope the question made sense ahaha hfkjhgjkhiuwef ; _ ;
Oh! I use a graphics tablet to draw with, and it has pressure sensitivity. The one I use is Intuos Pro Small!! The harder I press the thicker the line becomes. It just looks more prominent because I used a very big brush on a large canvas!!
@@treeckster OH is that what the pressure sensitivity is for?? I also have that for my Intuos Manga but I'm not sure if the feat. is the same?? Hehe when I saw it at first I thought sensitivity was for how transparent or bold the lines would look like..
milk dumb yes! ^^ you know how in traditional art when you paint with a brush, the harder you press the bigger/thicker the mark becomes? the line also is thinner when you press the brush lightly on ur canvas. Pressure sensitivity in tablets tries to replicate that in digital art ^^ i just check out ur tablet online and you should be able to do the same thing! just make sure u have the relevant drivers installed in ur computer and to update regularly!
