I dont think ive ever caught a pike on smelt anywhere. most my good pike come on roach, never had anything from nutsey on mackral either, but had the most pike of anysize on sardine/herring.

Thanks for your message. It’s a lot easier to un hook the pike which is a lot safer for the pike. 👍🎣🐟
