@@MasterRyuuji I made sure not to do that (mainly because most activities at the time still allowed the use of sunset weapons, but also because I liked them). The unfortunate thing is, people deleting their sunset weapons is probably exactly why Bungie didn't just reverse the sunsetting on every weapon. It was like a terrible hole they dug that they couldn't do anything about because all three options (continuing to sunset, unsunsetting, and leaving things as they were) were bad options. Not saying it isn't their fault for not realizing what consequences it would have, just saying as soon as it was introduced, they literally couldn't do anything to undo the damage. On the bright side, I like that they reintroduce weapons alongside new weapons, allowing the new versions of old weapons to roll with new perks instead of the same-old same-old they rolled with (especially now that the new perks are typically a lot more in depth than they used to be). Look, I know you said one sentence, I'm sorry. I always do this. Idk why. I think I just like ranting.
I gotta say that having a "lite" patrol destination has been pretty damn fun. The enemies are on a pretty intense respawn cycle, the areas are condensed enough to where you're never in a vast expanse of absolute nothingness, and there's a bunch of secrets hidden about. I wandered away from the public event and before I knew it, I had spent 3 hours killing patrol mobs and getting about a dozen triumphs.
Fun fact: After you finish the tier 3 and collected the stuff there will be 2 chests hidden behind doors around the map. It has a chance to drop opulent keys.
@@Truelegacy4424 there’s about 4 doors around the entire area, and 2 random ones will be unlocked. Best method is to equip the chest detector mod to your ghost, and then run a lap.
There is these two chests but if you rotate between rooms around the Leviathan itself, chest will spawn periodically each of which have chances for opulent keys.
SGA: You can turn in multiple Bound Presence's at the chest at the end of a Sever mission. Since my inventory was full when I got my first one and I didn't realize I got another, and the chest at the end of Sever said "Consume 2 Bound Presence" and you get more rewards.
Something not mentioned is you do get points in your crown of sorrow rank also by picking up the petrified egegore around the levithan, opening chests around the leviathan, and doing patrols.
At the end of each nightmare patrol event, there are 2 doors that become open-able in the Castellum and contain a chest. There's 5 doors total, and two are randomly selected each run. Bobblehead in one of them.
Hands down the Scythe is the best limited time use pick-up weapon Bungie's ever made. Better than both the Iron lord axe and the Valkyrie Javelin combined!

Thinking about it, it would be great if they implemented the raid lairs into story missions, or maybe the Dungeon, seeing as the dungeon will be Cabal/Calus based. Either way, the Leviathan is huge, and I hope they use it to match such a scale

@@Ocachino look up the leviathan raid weapons, the dungeon weapons look like if those weapons were infected with SIVA or red darkness power, especially the pulse rifle. Also the item badges normally give an idea of where the loot comes from; like how the VOD badge has a symbol seen in the pyramids/pyramid architecture. By this logic, the dungeon will have a good amount of stuff to do with either those loyal to Calus, seeing as it’s the Loyalist/Leviathan symbol, or Calus himself. Also, the Leviathan’s huge, has raid lairs that can be used for content, and may be holding Calus in it, who’s to say there’s no way the dungeon couldn’t be in there? Just makes more sense, seeing the Cabal theme, unless the Cabal have a reason to come to Savathun’s Throne World.
The main thing I'm disappointed by is that the scythe isn't an actual weapon we can keep and have on us If it were an exotic melee weapon, I would take it in a heartbeat, I love it so much conceptually, like a solar version of Black Talon, which was one of my favorite swords in D2

You mentioning "for the season" actually just made me think of a great question: is this the first piece of seasonal content that won't go away with the next expansion? Because it is a whole seperate destination (yes, technically it existed before, but it's clear a lot of work was put into Glykon-ifying it for it to only exist for 9 months) and I think this is the first time that's been done for a season. Also, hopefully the new dungeon is on the Leviathan to give it yet another reason to stay.

So it is 100% going at the end of the year.

It's the only free-roam, non-activity destination that has been added for a season as opposed to an expansion. So no, it is not "100% going at the end of this year". I'd argue that there's a 50% chance as of now.

I'd rather they brought back Titan but glykon-ified it, so then we could have an actual destination come back with updates and it would have a reason to stick around past nostalgia and being desperate for anything 'fresh' and 'new.'

I'm not massively butt-hurt about anything... I'm not overwhelmed or underwhelmed, I'm like, just... whelmed. This season allows for me to repeat a lot of the stuff I missed last season due to the expansion content taking up a lot of time, so I'm kinda grateful for that. I also didn't expect a patrol area or the Leviathan, so that's cool. I'm looking forward to another dungeon, so there's that. The only concern I have is that classes are starting to feel less unique and have less of an identity due to sharing keywords, grenades and aspects, and, that in the end when Arc 3.0 rolls out... it'll be the same feel again but with different keywords, grenades and aspects. As much as I know it will happen, I don't want when Arc 3.0 comes around, for it to be "match the blue gun with the blue subclass and the blue mods and watch the enemies go blue boom (with added blue keyword heal effect)". Like, as much as I'm joking when I say it, it's a very real possibility that come the Arc 3.0 reveal, an enthusiastic bugle employee on the dev stream will say "Arc is frantic! It's unpredictable! It comes at you out of nowhere like a lightning bolt... which is why we're giving all classes the ability to BLINK!!!" I definitely don't want this to have any deeper meaning, but during Destiny 1 and into Destiny 2 I felt like each class harnessed the power of the element in their own unique ways, with their own unique toolsets. We used IT as a weapon, now it kinda feels swapped over where the element has the identity and uses US as a weapon with shared toolsets.
I wish Bungie would introduce completed armour set storage, so completed sets can be put aside (think Batman's suit set up for storage/display - even on board your vessel, somewhere), and one click can equip one armour set in exchange for the one currently worn. Storage in D2 is horrendous as it stands.
I wonder if they’re gonna bring the leviathan raid back since they’ve brought back what seems to be every area in it. Could use the exact same mechanics, with random rolls for the original guns. Probably just wishful thinking though
Knowing the destiny community, people would probably just complain that bungie is "reusing content" after non stop screaming at bungie to add leviathan back lol.
The rotating dungeon/raid reminds me of something I really wish they'd bring back: Flashpoints. There's no reason to go to the patrol areas of several of the planets in the game anymore. That's so much wasted content.
I agree with the overall sentiment of: Public Activity in a patrol space is lame. I feel like all the cards aren't on the table yet, like there's stuff missing from the trailer, and Bungie does have a track record of not communicating clearly I do think there is potential for exploration in the patrol zone. there are messages like "a red dot lingers on your ghost for a moment" to announce a boss spawning in the royal pools, and stuff like that I find cool. I *HOPE* that the leviathan is going to start opening up over the weeks, and that there will be new areas to explore, maybe going back into the Galhran treasure room, the Spire of Stars boss area, and see how its been corrupted. More missions, into seeing what actually happened to Calus, not just crow, zavala, and caital overcoming their traumas.
Today was the first time in atleast 6 Months I had to close the game because I had enough and didnt want to play anymore. I know people might be still blinded becasue everything is new but Warlocks took a huge L and changing the burn damage to scorch finally killed warmind cells for good, I had a "blast" with them until tuesday as their burn dmage would count towards the bottom tree dawn burn but this no longer works. Warmind cells havent been good the past months but atleast playing warlock they were extremely fun, they arent anymore
I was ad to see you running Ascendancy. It's been gutted. It was my first go to and it hits like a wet noodle. Bump in the Night literally does double the damage, at least in containment.

I really wish they raised the power level on the weekly rotator so people couldn’t just cheese Riven anymore. She’s not hard. If you can do Rhulk, you can absolutely do Riven. Are the other encounters besides the boss powerful? Or is it just on level up to soft cap?

It's kinda sad...I don't have any urge to play D2 anymore. The seasonal rotation has just kind of run it's course with me. The crazy thing is, as I reflect on the past 7+ years with Destiny, there never really was a point to chasing things, the chase itself was the point. I enjoyed playing the game, challenging myself on harder content, and collecting as many god-rolls as I could. But now, I feel like I've done enough. The chase for it's own sake is no longer a draw for me...it's kinda sad :(

Public events as the MAIN activity for a season never works out. :/ patrols don’t allow enough people, u can only launch with 3 people, and their lobby system seems all fucked as it never fills up. You’re usually stuck in a patrol with 1 or 2 other people.

@@hayes4762 there's an entirely seperate queue which will only queue you and other people into a zone with an active event or enough other people who are also queuing the same queue to do one, the first queue for the explore area is better for going to baths or gardens or exploring
So the activity is another 6 player snoozefest? It seems I won't be installing the game again. Gambit and battlegrounds are the last time I had fun doing an activity and felt like I couldn't be afk if the activity was to be completed
The burnout is strong with this one lol. I couldn't play the same game for 9 years, too bad too... I've been a hardcore destiny hater since release and even I couldn't stay away these last couple seasons. It's like... Actually a game now. Bad time to be burned out.
Is anyone else experiencing a bug where characters just don't load in menu screens? My Guardian doesn't appear within the character inventory menu, so I can't change shaders on armor or weapons and the same goes for when I click on a specific piece of gear. Not only that, whenever I talk with NPCs for bounties, their menu's are glitched out with either the NPC just not appearing or if they do appear, they're T-Posing. I've verified the integrity of the files multiple times and even reinstalled and still having this issue, which started up during the second week of the Guardian Games but is happening near constantly since Season of the Haunted launched. Anyone know of a fix for this?
I will not at all lie: the "menacing laughter" from Eris when you sometimes grab the scythe confirms Shaxx can, in fact, be heard from the moon.

Can you farm the sever mission as long that you have bound presence?

I wonder if they’re gonna bring the leviathan raid back since they’ve brought back what seems to be every area in it. Could use the exact same mechanics, with random rolls for the original guns. Probably just wishful thinking though

The rotating dungeon/raid reminds me of something I really wish they'd bring back: Flashpoints. There's no reason to go to the patrol areas of several of the planets in the game anymore. That's so much wasted content.

I agree with the overall sentiment of: Public Activity in a patrol space is lame. I feel like all the cards aren't on the table yet, like there's stuff missing from the trailer, and Bungie does have a track record of not communicating clearly
I do think there is potential for exploration in the patrol zone. there are messages like "a red dot lingers on your ghost for a moment" to announce a boss spawning in the royal pools, and stuff like that I find cool.
I *HOPE* that the leviathan is going to start opening up over the weeks, and that there will be new areas to explore, maybe going back into the Galhran treasure room, the Spire of Stars boss area, and see how its been corrupted. More missions, into seeing what actually happened to Calus, not just crow, zavala, and caital overcoming their traumas.
Today was the first time in atleast 6 Months I had to close the game because I had enough and didnt want to play anymore. I know people might be still blinded becasue everything is new but Warlocks took a huge L and changing the burn damage to scorch finally killed warmind cells for good, I had a "blast" with them until tuesday as their burn dmage would count towards the bottom tree dawn burn but this no longer works.
Warmind cells havent been good the past months but atleast playing warlock they were extremely fun, they arent anymore
"Guide" works like every other seasonal activity. Done.

It's kinda sad...I don't have any urge to play D2 anymore. The seasonal rotation has just kind of run it's course with me. The crazy thing is, as I reflect on the past 7+ years with Destiny, there never really was a point to chasing things, the chase itself was the point. I enjoyed playing the game, challenging myself on harder content, and collecting as many god-rolls as I could. But now, I feel like I've done enough. The chase for it's own sake is no longer a draw for me...it's kinda sad :(

Get the deluxe edition since you get access to the new dungeon on friday
If you get deluxe you’ll also get the season pass I think so you basically get everything you need to play all the new content

Didn’t bungie learn from season of the worthy? Public events as the MAIN activity for a season never works out. :/ patrols don’t allow enough people, u can only launch with 3 people, and their lobby system seems all fucked as it never fills up. You’re usually stuck in a patrol with 1 or 2 other people.
I have more of a problem with almost every single gun being reissued or reskinned

Yeah, I've only ran the seasonal activity once, it was pretty fun. Then I was alone. I waited for 10 minutes, nobody joined.

@@hayes4762 there's an entirely seperate queue which will only queue you and other people into a zone with an active event or enough other people who are also queuing the same queue to do one, the first queue for the explore area is better for going to baths or gardens or exploring

The burnout is strong with this one lol. I couldn't play the same game for 9 years, too bad too... I've been a hardcore destiny hater since release and even I couldn't stay away these last couple seasons. It's like... Actually a game now. Bad time to be burned out.
Is anyone else experiencing a bug where characters just don't load in menu screens? My Guardian doesn't appear within the character inventory menu, so I can't change shaders on armor or weapons and the same goes for when I click on a specific piece of gear. Not only that, whenever I talk with NPCs for bounties, their menu's are glitched out with either the NPC just not appearing or if they do appear, they're T-Posing. I've verified the integrity of the files multiple times and even reinstalled and still having this issue, which started up during the second week of the Guardian Games but is happening near constantly since Season of the Haunted launched. Anyone know of a fix for this?
Common problem unfortunately. Paul Tassi even mentioned this in a youtube video he made. Quite annoying..
