Please someone help me.. I have 28 hole 9 speed HG hub and now I want to use 7 speed 14t - 34t freewheel instead of HG cassette... So how it possible without changing the hub? Or should I change the hub to normal single speed hub ... Is the freewheel compatible with SRAM XD driver... ?
I have a through axle and a 12 speed freehub body, FH-521, 3 pawls and the end cap screws on to the axle to keep the freehub on, could I swap freehub over to a Shimano micro spline 3 pawls and use the same end cap?
Nice video. But my current rear wheel hub can only accept one side for the spanner (freehub side). The non drive side is round with no way to put a spanner. SO how am i gonna be able to loosen ??? sorry if it sounds confusing.
Bro. look inside the axle tube and see if it looks like you can fit a 12mm allen key, thats whats going to help you keep the axle from spinning and remember the side where fit the spanner wrench it tipically reverse threaded.

I have a question Sir, I'm going from The Shimano HG Driver on a Diamondback MTB to an XD Driver on some DT SWISS 370's and I'm going with an 11S GX Cassette. The problem I'm having is, it's not the same Spacing with the new Wheels because of that end cap on the HG Hub with that Flat Stepped end. How do I combat this if you could give me some advice Please? I don't want to spend more money on going with another DT SWISS HG Ratchet Hub because I've done the 54T kit on the new wheels already and bought the Cassette. Thanks in advance Sir. It's a Single Lipped End Cap.
When you fit the sram XD freehub body you have to fit the correct end cap to go with it.

Yes you can buy single speed conversion kits for the XD driver freehub!

I just took delivery of a DT Swiss wheel from Germany ( DT Swiss EX 1501 Spline One 650B/27.5' MTB wheel Centerlock 30mm rear 12/148mm DT Swiss 240s hub) with.mistaken Shimano cassette driver which was meant to be a SRAM XD driver for the SRAM XX1 Eagle 1295 10/52t cassette! Not sure what parts needed etc!
You will need a DT Swiss XD ratchet freehub body for a 12mm axle they will come as a kit with the appropriate end cap!!
