As a PT, I always focus on the mobility or movement skill a child is ready for next. If head control is a concern - propped sitting, tummy time, rolling, all fours are all appropriate it just might be more difficult because their bodies are bigger. All mobility techniques can be done on older kids as well as long as theyre okay with the childs pediatrician or therapist.
