This was the greatest cover of Gimme Shelter I've ever heard. I voted for The Clark Brothers from their first audition. Great musicians! I wish the show would come back, as well. I loved it.
Agreed. Outstanding cover. Made it their own and true to the song. The guitar work reminds me exactly of the way Merry Clayton feels singing background on the original.
Way back in the early-to-mid 90s their dad healing Evangelist Freddy Clark and all 9 of the Clark bros, their beautiful mother, and their youngest twin sisters would roll into our church on a bus! They all played an instrument. All 9 were dressed in a suit. All 9 of their names begin with "A"....
They made an album in 2010 under an different name and they completely disbanded in 2012 and were dropped from Interscope Records but the singer signed with IRS Records in 2015 and was dropped via an “trade” later in the year.
