    INGREDIENTS
    -2pcs chopped onions
    -6cloves chopped garlic
    -1/2Kilo sliced Pork Liempo (pork belly)
    -1/2Kilo sliced Chicken legs and thigs
    -1/2tsp salt and ground black pepper
    -2Tbsp soy sauce
    -2Tbsp oyster sauce
    -2cups sprite
    -add water as needed to soften the meat
    -2pcs dried bay leaves
    -3Tbsp vinegar
    -1tsp whole peppercorn

    This is why I like watching his videos, very straightforward!! No introduction whatsoever like other people who love to talk then you get sick of them talking about nonsense so you end up not learning anything 😞 unlike Kuya Fern, very detailed and no talking. I love it when I can hear the sound of the sizzling meat or the scrapping of his pan (i know it’s weird but that’s just me 😂) it’s the sound of “passionate cooking” 😉

    I tried cooking this recipe etong nakaraang thanksgiving dinner at we had a visitor from Texas na di pa nakakain ng filipino food at nagustuhan nila at even ang bayaw ko na american.     Honestly. Well done cooking video. I just now found this channel and this is my first video but just how straight forward it is. Simple instructions to read and some nice cooking ASMR. No 20 mins of filler talking about the instructions and nonsense just here's my food and this is how its done. Love it. Well done!!! Easily a cooking channel I could watch and prepare and learn from!       i follow this afritada recipe after watching.. but instead of tomato sauce ,campbells concentrated tomato soup nalang nagamit ko kase out of stock ako sa tomato sauce at ketchup instead sa paste la rin akong stock sa paste.but to my surprised it turned out really yummy.at gustong gusto ng husband ko.super sarap daw.nxt time tomato sauce na gagamitin ko.nga pala nilalagyan ko ng kunting suka para hindi mapanis agad at kunting brown sugar.salamat sa recipe mo.

    Delicious recipe especially when cooked in a wok. A big difference in taste when cooking on wok, carbon steel or cast iron. Just a side note however when cooking on any of these pans, not to use too much vinegar as it might damage the patina, the non-stick layer of your pan. If it does, you have to season it again.

    I've been watching your videos on repeat kuya. I'm a busy guy so I mixed all the ingredients together. I marinated it for 3 days because I've been busy but I did the steps. I didn't have a cover so I cooked the pork first and chicken second. After that, I mixed the two. It took me 3 hours of watching it lol. The ingredients you have is great but I like just a little bit more salt so I put one small packet of magic sarap. I fed my customers that are black from Stockton California and they loved it. I live in Hawaii and I have a tour business. I wish I can cook more of your recipe. I'm cooking this recipe again today. Salamat po and GOD bless. Aloha

    I find it interesting that it is common to break the sauce in filipino dishes where european chefs would never dream of breaking a sauce but in this you are frying with it. Very cool stuff

    Looks amazing and going to try this. We have a big stainless steel work but haven't used it a lot. What kind of oil do you recommend for sauteing? Also, what is the best pork to use? Would pork loin be good? One last question, I see below in one comments you say you use datu puti vinegar. Not sure I can find that, what other kinds of vinegar would you recommend? Thank you!!

    Hi chef, why add vinegar last instead of adding it with the soya sauce and oyster Sauce or adding with the sprite?

      so the tanginess of the vinegar will be a bit more intense but still blends well to with the whole dish.. cooking the vinegar with the soy and oyster sauce will result in a more mellow but also yummy flavor.. so it's always a good practice to learn new techniques so one could always adjust the flavors according to one's preference.. so one won't get used to the flavor a certain dish.. 😉😊

    I can't find fresh pork belly at my grocery store. The closest two options are salt pork and uncured pancetta. Which one would work best? This recipe looks delicious and I want to try it.

      If the pancetta is uncured in any manner (no flavor added.. Just the neutral flavor of meat), then it's more suitable to use.. But I would still be careful and tone down the salty ingredients like soy sauce and salt just to be safe.. Coz one could still adjust/add while reducing/thickening up the sauce when almost done cooking.. 😉😊 You can do this.. Hope you enjoy 😉😊
