All I can think about sometimes when I watch these is whether or not my cousin (who didn't survive flight 191) was scared. He must have been. He was only 13. RIP Seth Katz. He was my best friend when we were growing up. 😭
@@bhutii Thanks, it was a long time ago, but it was VERY traumatizing to my family back when it happened. I've visited the Flight 191 Memorial in Dallas, and it's a fitting tribute to the victims. It doesn't make the loss any easier, but it at least means this tragedy changed the aviation industry and made air travel safer.
@Tristan Aviation True, the water tanks were what caused the plane to fragment and explode, otherwise 191 would have come to a stop in the field, short of the runway, and it would have been scary for the passengers and crew, but EVERYONE onboard would have survived (except for poor William Mayberry in his truck, which would have been a casualty EITHER way due to 191's engine striking his truck on the highway), and I'd still have my cousin around. HOWEVER, these are the "what if's....." 🤷 And we can't waste life on "what if's."

28 people survived the crash though. Did you see the back of the plane get separated from the part of the fuselage witch hit the tank? People in the back survived, 28 people.
And they were the ONLY survivors. The rest of the fueselage just DISINTEGRATED upon impact with the tanks. It's amazing that there were ANY survivors at all, but the tail section was blown backwards OUT of the fireball that claimed all the other passengers lives. This is why, for YEARS & YEARS after 191 (and the loss of my cousin due to where he was sitting), if my parents put me and my sister on a plane, (or if we all flew together somewhere as a family) we HAD to be in the back rows.
