Dear everyone, this show was October 5, 1990. If you look on the inside of the Live Album, the Queen of the Rodeo is from this show, which dates in October, 1990.
Easily one of the HEAVIEST "drop D" riffs ever.I first heard this song, way before a lot of people in OZ,and heard it[Facelift 1st song] before going on tour, and it PUMPED me up Heaps.Mike Starr definitely clicked/grooved with Kinney,I wish Id got to see THIS line up........I saw em in Oct.93.........,Ill leave it at that.Peace.
Damn I have this show on tape but this is as nasty as I've ever heard Jerry's lead sound... It must be off a different board or maybe mic'd by crew or? DANN IT SOUNDS FUCKING AMAZING
@GrungeVirus This was sent to me by a friend, so I truly don´t know. There are a lot of bootlegs circulating on Ebay though. Try finding some there, I must confess I´m doing the same :-))
@thclsddmt147 As far as i know "Queen of the rodeo" was played for the last time around this period of time (1991). You may want to check the setlists from their last dates with Layne in '96 to confirm this fact.
As it says 91,Im gonna asume this is when they supported[opened] Van Hagar, sorry Van Halen. The band[A.I.CH.] were Van Halen fan's,but Im willing to bet it was the first 6 VH albums they were into though.I read a review waaaaay baaaaack thehhhhhhn,[cough] and it said the VH "crowd/audience" were kind of "bewildered" by the slow/heavy grind of A.I.CH.I would loved to ave been/followed that tour, surely someone here was there?
Layne fucking killed it EVERY TIME he performed live....his energy would fluctuate from show to show depending on his drug use but pitch was always fucking on point.....dude gave people their fucking moneys worth.
Layne sounds exactly like the studio. So good.
*better than studio. Because it’s Layne fucking Staley.
THAT GUITAR TONE!

@@user-dq2ym1nn9k what amp do you think it was? Sounds a bit like mesa boogie
@@biohazard8295 dunno. I'm a drummer lol. But that tone is SHREDDING

Used to love AIC. Haven't been the same without Layne Staley. RIP. This is one of my favorite opening tracks. Gets the adrenaline going.

@rksguit This was actually October of '90. They weren't touring with Van Halen until late 91.

This and the 1993 Glasgow show are the best Layne ever sounded recorded (including studio)

Layne is here healthy, strong, handsome - just the way he was supposed to be
@americanheritage1660 Concurred. Which is why I´m addicted to them since 1994. Enjoy, my fellow AIC fan!
Anybody knows what amo was used or some similar alternatives? I don't mean to imitate the sound i just like how consistent it sounds.
AHuh, thats exactly the same time I was touring like dog,in Australia,
