I’ve been working with Matthew for a year now and he’s always been honest, helpful, and provides service second to none. I would recommend reaching out to the Bloom team for feedback before making any future purchases as they offer valuable insight into things even a seasoned audiophile might overlook. Thank you for another balanced review, Matthew! I appreciate your subjective take on what you like and dislike about planar IEMs and where Solo sits on this spectrum. As a fan of 64 Audio fan, I will audition it at some point and see if it’s for me. Please keep up the great work! 💯
Thanks so much for your consistent encouragement, Nicholas 😊 it’s a pleasure talking with you, and I always look forward to our next conversation. You gotta let me know what you think of Solo when you hear it! I’m excited to hear your impressions. Thanks as always for watching the review, really appreciate it!!
Heard these at CanJam SoCal :) Noisy place, these isolated pretty well. They didn’t come across as open to me. Bass presence was striking, maybe a bit lifted from reference. Images dense a little chunky? Decent res, but maybe not for the price. Treble seemed quite reasonable, didn’t stand out, about right. I liked it, a good general listening iem, with some mild plus bass prominence. I think you explained it well and kudos to your jazz picks. So often the bass is a bit subdued in older jazz recordings, so this healthy bass gives a double bass a nudge into the mix, sounds like.
This was the biggest surprise of CanJam for me; and this was right after listening to the Storm. Had to listen to it a second time. I guess I liked this a lot more than you did.
Hey! Thanks for watching :-) Wow, anything that holds up well after listening to Storm is dang good, haha. Glad you enjoyed your time with it, I do think it possess a lot of characteristics that a lot of listeners can really enjoy.
I think that is the biggest thing against Solo - there is already a ton of cheap planars on the market that really have remarkable price to performance value. Solo's sound signature does have a certain level of refinement to it (that I think a lot of 64 Audio offerings present), but just how worth is that level of refinement to each listener? Tough to say. Anyways, thanks for watching!
@@MatthewDiFazio I agree with what you've said about the refinement. I think with all of the technologies they've used, it seems from your review that it has a more refined sound compared to other planars. But for $1300, it's a bit steep. I think if they had priced it around $300 it would have been extremely competitive
@@jacobpotash8690 me and my friend talked last night about how 64 Audio would probably break the market releasing an IEM at that price point. Fingers crossed we get that sometime in the near future.
@MatthewDiFazio 3 ways. I prefer the sponge high density filter. You just need to remove the grill with a needle. Place the sponge inside close to the grill. And close the grill again.
@MatthewDiFazio 2nd ams 3rd. Filters for rhe nozzle grill over there is some made from Coton. Better for the sweat. And the other made from nylon is like. Mmmm. Ok
Hey! Thanks for watching :-) I've heard Astrolith, though it isn't really my cup of tea. Much prefer Moon Rover and think that's Campfire's best Planar personally. However, a lot of folks enjoy Astroliths energy both in the bass and treble, so to each their own! Just thought it was an interesting graph to portray the point I was looking to make.
For me pick before 2.8khz is a nope.Only the new kz prx is different all the others do the same thing because they buy the existent drivers they don t create new ones
Yeah, I think thats where Solo will be make or break for people. I know that certain region can be quite fatiguing for people, so I tried to make it a point of emphasis for those folks here in the video. Thanks for watching!
So far the sponsorship money hasn't hit my bank account... I wonder if they didn't like me adding "I don't think this could be my daily driver" or "this didn't really move the needle for me" into the script they sent over 🤔

what kind of music suit this 64 solo?
Does anyone know how the Solos sound when listening to classical music?

The real question is does this outperform other planar IEMs (i.e artti T10, Letshuoer S12, etc.) and by how much?
80% maybe like hifiman do in XS/ananda to Arya lineup small amount upgrade and justify EQ/tuning

Get a 500 mesh filter nozzle to lower that
Worth looking into for sure. If these ended up as a daily driver for me, I most certainly would. Thanks for watching!

So you haven’t actually heard the Astrolith to compare, you’re just looking at graphs?
I think he was using a graph to explain. Bloom Audio is a store they have the Astrolith and its been reviewed on their website

cost too much for a planar IEM... lots of other choices cheaper priced.... they are on the 3rd iteration of planar drivers for IEM...
